@eastwickzjeff the own thing you can do is downloading it from another PC. I've got the same problem as you, but before I'm getting Security Shield I've installed Ubuntu as second Operating System, so when my Windows browser get blocked I´ve switching to Ubuntu and download the Program on an USB-Stick. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I managed to remove mine effortlessly.

Here's what I did (Note: I am running Windows 7) :

Go to Start and click Shut Down or Restart

Then when it starts to close your programs, click cancel

Then you should be able to go to system restore and restore your system to an earlier date.

Voila! Security Shield should be gone.

@101prasanna I didnt install rkill... what i did was put my computer in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING and then I downloaded the Malwarebytes software. It doesnt download if you are in normal mode, the security shield blocks it and also you cant install the software in normal mode. So after putting your pc in safe mode, just download malwarebytes and do the steps shown in the video from there. Thats what worked for me !

for those who are having troubles even opening this download, run comp in safe mode, search your programs for security shield, open file location and delete. then go back and search for security shield again and delete that icon. then reboot your computer and empty recycle bin. easy as pie.
