@Porre1337 I thought of a way to restore the magnetic field, however you would need a lot of copper! If you make a nuclear power plant on mars and use the electricity it makes on a copper coil that circles the planet you could restore the lost magnetic field and humans could begin the next stages of terraforming with no risk of radiation poison.
Since the person already mentioned that the interior of Mars is no longer active; Mars does not have a geomagnetic field anymore. As such no proto-atmosphere could be developed because there is no mag field to protect it from the Sun's solar wind and CMJs.
srry but the magnet field on mars is verry weak so we cant realy live on mars whitout huge risk of canser
