Field MP is an entirely different beast though and I have no experience working with them. I think they do Close Protection and taking prisoners and policing war zones which seems much more interesting.

@SaroopD field MPs are still patrol mps they`re just attached to a field unit like in petawawa or valcartier. They do route signage and security as well as handle pows. Close protection is it`s own thing that any MP can get into after passing through a selection board. They do air marshall work and bodyguard work for VIPs.

Maybe this is just my experience but i find MPs to be a bored force. They end up pulling people over for 1km over the limit (I've seen a judge throw out an MP's entire day or tickets after seeing two of these in a row). And they end up enforcing parking and issuing IDs, or chasing ambulances around the base. If you are serious about responding to calls then go civvie side in a city.

your vision has to be 20/40 uncorrected.. so if laser surgury brings your eyes to anything better than 20/40 you're good to go. I was lasered in 2002 and I was just finished my MPAC. I still have better than 20/20 vision.

I just hate it how cops can run around unchecked doing whatever they want and their tickets and everything stand in court based entirely on their testimony that they aren't lying about the facts.

They pour thousands of dollars in time and resources into proving someones guilt yet little people like most of us are stuck trying to fight that! True justice isn't served until they show the other side of the coin.

But a lot of times they are guilty. the money needs to be spent to give all parties included the time of day to express their side- the decision is usually made not only by a judge but also a jury. So they both get a fair chance, and it works- I bet there are 98% correctly convicted and at 2% incorrectly. They get their fair chance- but its better they are doing their time than hurting other people or convicting more crimes that be dangerous. Don't you think?

Interestingly they have the same powers as civilian police and can arrest you are I outside Canadian military bases. I'm guessing transit police only have jurisdiction within a specific area and railroad police I'm not sure of.

its pretty hard to get in and now you dont need prior policeing training all you need is police fondations its a collage course its 2 year couse. im ganna be an MP during collage ill be in the reserve MP than Regular after i finish my collage years
