@skateboy159 i could just imagen! i jump straight in my car and flog it home to take a dump when that happens if i was flying id have to parachute to my house after flying over it ofcourse and say bye bye to the plane lol
Seems so surreal up there. I plan on going AF after college, but Im hoping for C-17s, even though theres still that something in me that wants to fly those fighters. Awesome video!
Do you have to fly that boom? ANd do you have to do it all backwards. It seems like you would need to imagine you're facing yourself.. looking in the same direction as the F-16 pilot.
It looks from here that it's easier for him than it is for you to pull off an easy-looking refueling hookup.
Also it's amazing how much ground you cover during the process.
@AgentJayZ yes...i am flying the boom at all times before, during, and after the contact. and it flies in the direction that i move the ruddevator control stick, it's rigged for that purpose and the only thing that gets confusing is when i make location calls cause me facing backwards makes aircraft left...my right....no big deal you get used to it.
@dereklsept You and that guy win the internet. I've watched pretty much all of your videos now. Always wanted to be a pilot actually, gave up on it once I reached 6'4" and my vision went south, but your job is awesome as hell too.
How the hell did the fuel pipe connect so precisely?!

That was a thirsty Eagle. He was latched on for 3min28sec. How much fuel would you transfer in that amount of time?

@jamcrane3 That's a Viper, not an Eagle.

@dereklsept Very cool.
Many people have commented that they think I have a great job, but my hat is off to you, dude !
What's the greatest number of fill-ups you've provided in one tanker flight?
AgentJayZ 4 weeks ago
@AgentJayZ offloaded 120k during red flag alaska to 10 receivers
dereklsept 4 weeks ago
@AgentJayZ and also we're moving at about 7 miles a minute, so four minutes covers roughly 28 miles
