Kid and his band did this song and "Pushing Up Daisies" for our talent show in high school circa 92-93. Princapal freaked the fuck out...He just didn't know what to make of it....The singer nailed the screams and I remember our principal just didn't know what the fuck to make of it all...he just shut it down...An appropriate response...if I think about it now...Hehehe.
The vocals on Angel Dust border on operatic at times. As much as I loved The Real Thing, Angel Dust just sounds so much bigger. I imagine they had a bigger studio budget and more time to layer vocals and effects. I love the Native American breakdown in the middle. It comes "from out of nowhere."
My fave of all their songs. Probably in the top 5 of all my fave songs which is a big call as I have a huge range of music I listen to. But this song is a huge range of music. Not so much as Mr. Bungle but for a 4:30 song it takes me deep, so deep.
I've always said that Faith No More is one of the most brilliant band of songwriters and musical innovators I've ever listened to. A band with a very unique sound. This is my favorite FNM album as well.
This video is perfect for this song...i love the scene where he runs the guy into the semi truck...I dont think a pro director could have made a more fitting video for this song..wish it lasted to the very end of the song tho!!!
Actually the only connection I've had with faith no more up till now is that i found this cd at home... i don't understand just how it got here since my parents hardly listen to this... put it into the cd player because it had interesing cover
i saw mad max for the first time the other day, and i only saw it after seeing this. it was a pretty good film, although i couldnt find any certain plot.. it was just spontaneous fighting and explosions. enjoyable to watch, though
shit suburbs of cardiff, wales, britain, europe. i live in a 'gangsta' infested shithole, drugs violence and assholes. faith no more gives my life new meaning
i was in 6th grade (91) when I got into these guys, I was a huge thrash metal fan and some of my friends were into nivana, pearl jam, sound garden..and i always thought FNM were way better than the other alternative bands, i still do and I still love these guys!
I'm a 36 year old black man and I must say that I agree Faith No More's "Angel Dust" could possibly be the greatest music album ever created. RE-RELEASE THIS CLASSIC!
@txsenator96 I'd love to be 18 again and back in 1992 when Angel Dust opened up the world of music for me. I cannot listen to bands like Green Day without thinking how incredibly lame they are compared to FNM back then.
@txsenator96 "I'm a 36 year old black man and I must say that I agree Faith No More's "Angel Dust" could possibly be the greatest music album ever created."
I'm a 35 year old white man and I completely agree with you!!
@txsenator96 I'm a 48 year old white man and I have to agree..... FNM was underrated and Icons and examples of what you can do with music today. I'll listen to these guys for years to come, their diversity in music is rediculously refreshing and "Angel dust" is the best metal album to exist to date.

I always visualised the sound of the third screaming BITE with the car during a skid, you know Mike sonds here like a car going very fast and suddenly hiting the brakes:)
Angel Dust could not be categorized and this made critics dizzy. This album was a lullaby for me growing up. It took me beyond the rural shit town I lived in and I'm grateful for that .
