  • my gameing pc was built by crushfactor and i dont have a problem running any thing on it in fact both owners of my channel use crushfactor built pc

my personal pc im useing a 6870 XFX Radeon with a 730w power supply

8gigs of ddr3 coursair ram and the msi millitary class 2 mother board and a 6 core amd phenom 2 x6 processor

  • @TheJustinsProduction ^5 BUT I know this may upset some on here your 1200W PS is in lol. I will be back in that area around 3/20.

  • If you use 6870 and higher video cards I would recommend at least 850 watt PS or higher... 1000 Watt if Overclocking the 8150 to provide steady voltage and make it a stable setup. I choose the Corsair 1200 Watt Power supply. New Egg for about $290 including shipping.

  • @CRUSHFACTORPC whoa you don't need that high of a power supply back in the day it was about wattage today it is about amperage I run a 650 watt with 70A on a single 12v rail just about the same setup as you and overclocked with out any hiccup but you are set encase you upgrade or use two cards or three card then you need higher but I run the eight core 16GB ram and a 6950 without any issues but everyone has their preference mine is amperage over wattage may upgrade to 32GB ram :)

  • @v4590 search this on Google first link it should be wont let me pot a link here for some reason (Latest graphics card power requirements - MSI Forum)

  • @v4590 post *

  • @v4590 I am always learning and I welcome any new info that I can use or pass along. I know about the differences in wattage and amperage but I never considered it in this area. I will google it more . I do plan on moving to the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7 ( already purchased) and three way 7970s... BUT I do know that the 730 watt unit I had before was not capable of supporting my Corsair H100 liquid cooler and everything else

  • @CRUSHFACTORPC LOL this guy is a moron. he is one of thos people who think MORE IS BETTAH LOLOLOL. you can run an intel core i7 and a GTX 580 with a quality 650W PSU and even overclock some. I laugh at people who buy 1000W Psu's because all it dose is make you look like a moron.

  • @thelasthallow your one of them kids who goes with intel and doesnt have an open mind if you dont like amd then dont watch and troll about something that no one cares about. i prefer amd for budget gaming and intel for extreme gaming.

  • @CoparGaming wrong. i have 1 intel system and 3 AMD systems not to mention i have 2 AMD/ATI Video cards. 1 Nvidia but its not really up for gaming anymore

  • @CoparGaming I have a single gaming PC that plays any game at high frame rates on any game even BF3 on ultra settings and glitch free... soooo... although its not exactly a "Budget" system the guy next door has an INTEL extreme set up and I notice nothing in game play so .... He is literally equally satisfied with my systems AMD performance.

I have a better video card but hey I saved over $700 over his CPU choice so I just GOT a better card I can also get a SSD and still be cheaper.

  • @thelasthallow I guess since I now have a CoolerMaster 1200W Power supply then I must really be barley capable walking around while remembering to breathe. I build PC's with the intent to make it as future proof as possible. I can add two more video cards and still not have to upgrade my PS HOWEVER since I do not use all of the 1200W capacity of the power supply it only gives what I need at this point.

Price and all things being equal and using recommendations of others....

  • @thelasthallow to make a "better " choice I feel smarter than you seem to give credit. BUT I have admitted to being open to smaller Watt and higher amp power supplies as being a possibility yet until I can discover more info on that topic I will not follow that logic when building a PC for customers. Even if I do find more info I will certainly test it to the hilt to be sure sooo Untill then I will stick to a solid logic that allows upgrades I.E. adding additional High end cards.

  • @CRUSHFACTORPC the better choice is to not buy a PSU that is over say 700W when considering a high end system barley uses that much power. not to mention they are alot cheaper and cost efficient. i wouldnt reccomend a 1000+W plus power supply to anyone for any reason UNLESS they plan on overclocking like hell and are going to get 4 GPU's in CFX or SLI. other than that there completely useless. and you dont seem to get that.

  • how much power is used? i wanna make a rig for gaming with the 8150

  • hey i was going to purchase the same system except for the case and RAM, how many FPS on bf3 with ultra settings?
