No one can understand the things this piece makes me feel. Such a wonderful torrent of emotion, it washes me in its glory and brings me peace. Fields of the Nephilim are the one true gothic band, mixing emotion and ambience into a wondrously dark style that captures and enchants you.
son exelentes gracias a fields of nefilim empeze a escuchar rock gotico antes escuchaba casi puro black metal y doom metal pero escuchando esto me empezo a gustar el rock gotico
@katyshade why he is wrong . You reckon tehy make the music to make people feel depression and sad i think they far away from. World is full of shit but be above this.
Seems like this Song is the same as "Wail of Sumer", the 7th Track on the CD "Elizium". Not big difference between this Song and the Song "And There Will Your Heart Be Also"
@koalamuc its a gapless album. Smooth transition which is why this is one of my fav albums ever. They just seamlessly go into the next song as if they recorded it like that.
the question is who s the one who disliked this...a voyage to nostalgy...one of the best song ever recorded, one of the best album ever recorde, every note remind me where i have been before, from infancy to now...who i really am it trancends body and gives to my spirit the true dress...this is like a form of ascension to me...sweet,melancholic and sensual,i will listen them forever
Nick Mason's relaxed mid-tempo drum, spheres only Richard Wright can create, and lyrics that show Waters' depth - all recorded on David Gilmour's houseboat !
Am I taking this too far ? I probably do :) But for someone who adores Floyd and loves Fields - this is amazing !
Absolutely stunning..this song...still! The Nephs never made anything as beautiful as this..but I'm glad they made "Elizium", one of the best records of all time..I must say!
@Neueregel exactly ! That song proves the influence of Pink Floyd beyond their "prog" genre on the British rock scene : British rock bands should raise a statue to Pink Floyd ( and most British guitarists a statue to David Gilmour ).
@carl13220 Generally all musicians(if not all people) should raise a statue to Floyd. Saw the Fields in Hellfest, Birminingham last year. They still rock!!
@carl13220 Agree 100%. Produced by Andy Jackson who was an engineer on a couple of Pink Floyd albums.
I saw the Neph play this live in Newcastle as part of the Visionary Heads\Earth Inferno tour. They played the whole album from beginning to end (with an alternate version of Sumerland).
As beautiful as a perfect dream...so many times I escaped reality listening to this song...and found myself gliding over the plains of Sumerland, in the end of Spring...
maybe the best ..as for the ethereal ones and the imagery is exquisite,,,,.....its nitetime late and while replaying this ..i discovered a monarch butterfly flyng towards my porchlite and it let me gently get it and i released it ito the backyard safely as it happily flew towards the flowers.....so surreal......so fitting for the song
Some things could not be more profound, more sincere, or more true. Some things could never be replaced. For me, this expresses what it would seem, words could never do. Carl understands the higher vibration of the higher self with a great but beautifully dark ease i can relate to so very personally. I thank him for that. I am deeply touched.
whenever i hear nephilim,or some nin, always reminds me of really old buildings, hidden away in a secret forest somewhere.very dreamy and etherial!!!peace everyone!!!!
Given how much amazing music McCoy and the Heph have crafted over the years it seems almost ridiculous to say this is one of my favourites, there are just too many great tracks to chose from.
Almost the entire "Elizium" album is has such an addictive sound and while I'm glad in a way that this outstanding piece of music is here on YouTube and I can listen to it at the office here and now, I feel like I'm robbing this song of it's soul listening to it in daylight...Well done McCoy !
If anything it is uplifting but stay away from it if you are depressive :)
For an album that was recorded on David Gilmour's houseboat "Astoria" there's plenty of Richard Wright in it, especially the last three songs - you beauty !
I just a Void vortex of Peace , Stardust like sand and Giant Astros reflexting each other likes. Slowly falling from the bed and going inside the cosmos.
No it's a (rather good) Fanvid comprising cuts from 'Hardware' and FoTN videos for other songs. It's been reposted and the original post has gone. Can't remember if ZoonMelt7 was original poster but I do remember that the original poting was well over a year ago and had more info associated with it. Plus I'd commented.
