@jeffmolly1 FYI RUST- This is near salt water: Missouri wind and solars will rust away too, that quick if it was near an ocean with out proper protection.Jeff is out to try to make all other turbines look bad so maybe he can make his look good. I have seen alot positive reviews on Wind Max- Try to find some on MW$S turbines from people who actually have one in operation
@scamsearcher Windmax has no warranty if installed by the homeowner, it's in there manual. I posted the link on my windmax testing and the amazing results video. NO WARRANTY IF INSTALLED BY THE HOME OWNER.

I tested the same Windmax 600 HY 3 blade turbine and it was always out of the wind.
The blades were also noisey, i see 5 are no different. Alot of people are commenting that they have to extend the tail to get it to stay in the wind, Hmm, seems like windmax would have fixed that by now, it's been years and they still do the same thing.
you could probably fix the issue of it spinning out of the wind by extending the tail fin. If your wind is "noisy", having high turbulence, it can cause this.
I was told to make sure that the pole or tower is plumb. If the tower leans to any one side or the pole is bent the windmill will tend to turn away from the wind.so before adjusting the tail try check your tower. Hope that helps
@N8Dogg1002 Mike , Put a larger tail and lengthened the tailshaft by a foot. Turbine tracks perfect now. Watched it in the wind all day and never spun around. Might consider doing yours if you got turbulance like me. That stuff about the tower not being plumb is not as critical as you think. Effects downwinds a lot more. Hope it helps. Video's coming soon.
Hey thanks for your comments, within a week or two I will be posting some new videos. The charge controller that shipped with this unit doesn't come with meters only lights indicators, also the one I got isn't working properly, I fired several emails to them but couldn't get hold of the tech, so I ordered a charge controller and as soon as I have it working U will see the videos. please show wind speed,voltage,amp outputs.looks good .please show wind speed plus voltage plus amperage output.please compare to there speed voltage amp output graph.since your in virgin isles this should work better than they do in the states.thanks for showing your wind generator.
Hey I did vise grip a piece of plywood to the tail.I won't get much power until the leaves come down I will rely on solar until then.I hope we do get a few windy days soon so I can get some reading's to share with everyone. TAKE CARE and keep us posted

you could probably fix the issue of it spinning out of the wind by extending the tail fin. If your wind is "noisy", having high turbulence, it can cause this.

Put a longer tail shaft and bigger tail on mine and fixed my problem. No more spinnin out of the wind.

Mine spins out of the wind too Mike. Gonna extend the tail shaft and make the tail bigger. That should take care of the tracking issue.

The charge controller that shipped with this unit doesn't come with meters only lights indicators, also the one I got isn't working properly, I fired several emails to them but couldn't get hold of the tech, so I ordered a charge controller and as soon as I have it working U will see the videos. please show wind speed,voltage,amp outputs.looks good .please show wind speed plus voltage plus amperage output.please compare to there speed voltage amp output graph.since your in virgin isles this should work better than they do in the states.thanks for showing your wind generator.

Hey I did vise grip a piece of plywood to the tail.I won't get much power until the leaves come down I will rely on solar until then.I hope we do get a few windy days soon so I can get some reading's to share with everyone. TAKE CARE and keep us posted

Nice turbine I hope it works out great for you.I saw a few videos where guys extended the tails on windmax to keep them turned into the wind.TAKE CARE

@michael970 Thank .. Yes I saw one guy who did that with the 2Kw unit. I'll wait and see what windmax reply will be and when I do the next video i'll post. Do U see the same problem with yours? U will have to raise your turbine to capture some more wind.
