  • please no use shampoo... -.-

  • my guinea pig hates baths how come she is so calm.

  • SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!

  • hehe your guinea pig is cute! My guinea pig LOVES when she gets baths!!! She starts popcorning around the sink, flinging water everywhere. :3

  • how old are they suppose to be to take them a shawer?????????......i really need to know plz reply

  • they are cute but you cant get there ears wet it can kill them

  • Seriously one of the cutest piggies I've ever seen!

@realisticHomeboy--Have you ever had a long-haired GP? The oils may be important, but they can get awfully stinky and really do need baths from time to time Oddly enough, our Abbys and short-haired piggies are MUCH more into grooming than the long-haired ones ever were.

  • I use this stuff called Four Paws Bunny Bath to wash my boys. It's colorless, odorless and very mild. You can find it in any pet store.

  • You'd love our Sparky the Super PIg book! Come check it out. Your video is so cute and informative.

  • so people must have missed the like button or they just dont know what cute is

  • Cute, like guinea pigs? Type bath time shallow water and the ear twitcher :)

  • Do u wash them with cold or warm water cause I really need to bathe them and idk what water to use

  • @MIXIEMEX You need to bath them in tepid water, just a little bit warm, not hot not cold. Don't wash theirs heads, they do that by themselves. Many guineapigs don't like running water so if its your first time bathing them then you should run the water first. More important for them to get used to getting wet, they can get used to running water later, some pigs will never like running water, just depends on their temperament (this one is super laid back though...my pig should see this video!)

  • AWWW! (s)hes sooo cute! the eyes are so big and beady :D

  • :)

  • That is the most adorable thing!!! My guinea pigs hate baths. I am super gentle with them but they just don't like the water. I always give them veggies afterwards, though, and they forgive me. Did you do something to make them like it? Mine like to be with me but don't like to be in the bath. :'(

  • how cute!

  • that is so darn cute

  • omg,im obsessed with guinea pigs,lol

  • Cute face of ginny pig. :)

  • So cute! This is not animal cruelity that is a silkie/peruvian guinea pig... Their fur gets all sorts of things stuck in it. That guinea pig looked like he didn't even mind!

  • everytime i bath mine he tries to run away from the water xD

  • so cute!! my guinea pig freaks out at the mere sound of running water so baths r not for her =S

  • thumbs up if you think bathing guinea pigs is no right

  • @kolbsings no one will cause it is right.

  • I have been so overcome by cuteness!

  • I have an guinea pig , has 3 years , never washed him , only paws cleaning and cutting of nails , he's clean :)

  • i luv giving my guinea pig cuddles a bath but im always afraid shes too cold

  • my-guinea-pig-keeps-trying-to-jump-out-the-bath-what-should-i-do?

    (sorry-my-spacebar-is-broken)

  • @TheCoco47 Give it some food while bathing. It helps ^^

  • Charlie The Drunk Guinea Pig.

  • all guinea pigs can swim?

  • @letmekill11 yup

  • I used to have 6 guinea pigs, they all enjoyed their baths :)

  • i'm getting a guinea pig soon or two cos there social, i had two dwarf hampsters but they had to be seperated cos one kept attacking the other one but they died and i reaaally want another lil friend like a rodent haha i've got a dog and a fish and thats it, can't wait to get them omg

  • das is soooo suess!

  • Your ginea pig is so cut I wish my mom would let me have another pet but she wouldn't because I have a dog and 2 birds that are in love with each other.

  • i miss my guinea pig. there like a small dog.

  • Your supposed to wash them cause of the oils in their fur/hair THIS IS NOT CRUELTY! It is in some ways a bonding experince, they like it even!

  • @MsBritt888 Incorrect. They need the oils in their fur. They should not be washed with soap. They don't need to be bathed at all, but they generally don't mind water, but you should not use soap.

  • whoever thinks this is abuse calm yourself. its a bath.

  • soooo cuteeeeee

  • Why does everyone says this is animal cruelty lol? its not, you're allowed to give them baths, in fact you're supposed to one every three weeks.

  • Thumbs up if your own a guniea pig (: ○_○

  • @Duffieex3 i thumbed because i own 2

  • @Duffieex3 2 cavies so happy

  • This is not cute or funny! This is animal cruelty! Guinea pigs do not need a bath! Animals can get sick! They clean themselves! This is pure stress for the guinea pig!

  • @Peacewoman00 While I agree with you, my pig scared herself and peed on herself by accident..and i had to give her a little bath..but not to this extent

  • @Peacewoman00 hhhmmmmm she dunt look stressed, infact she looks qute happy! theyre not being cruel to her you can clearly see that they are being careful not to get any water in her eyes... just relax she is perfectly fine :)

  • @FluffyBunnyx3x I do not think that the guinea pig looks happy! Animals are not toys. Guinea pigs are prey animals. These animals are in the most innocuous situations under incredible stress! The animals must not be bathed! And if they can have some very dirty they are also carefully cleaned with a damp cloth!

  • @Peacewoman00 Actually he seems like he likes it a bit Lol My guinea pig is still skittish towards baths but he has only had two in his whole life so he is still new to it. You are supposed to bathe your guinea pigs because their fur gets greasy and also longer haired ones especially need it. Guinea pigs are naturally clean animals and clean themselves just like cats, which is why you shouldn't give your guinea pig a bath a whole lot. It will take off their natural oils and dry out their skin.

  • @Peacewoman00 I totally agree with you.. most people around here don't seem to have a clue of how to take care of a guinea pig species-appropriate.

They seem to give their guinea pigs many baths (even though they even say that they don't enjoy it!) and they only have one guinea pigs. You should at least have two, no matter how much time you spend with it. In 9 years of owning guinea pigs, I didn't have to bath/groom them once.

  • @Chiimechoo I've bred guinea-pigs since I was 12, I just have four adults at the moment as I'm building a new gene pool and I've had to bath my long haireds in the past when other guinea pigs peed on them by accident, and I used to have a long haired who would climb out the bath, dive back in and swim underwater. The "experts" don't know everything all guinea-pigs have different personalities like dogs you can't just lump them all into one category of "guinea-pigs do not like bathing"

  • @BlueberryBubblegum18 The fact that you're breeding guinea pigs.. well, let me just say that there are enough guinea pigs in animal shelters that need a new home, breeding is totally unnecessary. Every guinea pig you breed takes away the place of a homeless one. About the bathing, as long as they are really dirty and you keep them warm and they enjoy it, it should be okay. But it's kinda strange that your long haireds got peed on though. That actually shouldn't happen.

  • @Peacewoman00 you are sopposed to espesally the long haired ones (like mine) the get there hair stuck together by pee and it is very importantant for the pigs coat think of it like a dog it needs to be bathed

    (sory for my spelling)

  • @Peacewoman00 Shut up.

  • @Peacewoman00 You need to calm down and get yourself a few dozen guinea-pigs, chuck them all in a warm bath and see which ones jump out, which ones swim for a bit then jump out and which ones swim, jump out and dive back in, coz I've owned guinea pigs since I was 5 and bred them since I was 12, I'm 25 now and I'm building up a new gene pool for some super cute babies and I've had all 3 personality types when it comes to water.

  • I could not roll bite as it is cute :)

  • that is so cute

  • I wish mine was that quiet!

  • Naaw! Its so cute!

  • Our piggies love their bath.(:

  • OH MY GOD, that is the cutest damn piggy I've ever seen!

  • mine is soo scared of the bath it makes squeek noises when i open the door and trys to hide thats why i dont give him that manny baths

  • @strawberry8147 Same here :(

  • I like it but I'm making the big cage

  • Hi I think that she is hurting her I'm gettting one in the summer

  • @HJC822 She's not hurting the guinea. Try yours with water when you get it, if it doesn't like it, keep your bathing to a minimum but if it seems to enjoy it like this one clearly does feel free to let it swim whenever you want. Don't listen to the so-called "experts" as long as you keep them nice and warm while they are wet and plenty of hay to snuggle in once dry you can allow your guinea pig to indulge in swimming whenever it wants. They would do it unrestricted in the wild, after all

  • She's so beautiful!

  • So cute

  • My piggies hate being bathed they jump out and al sorts :P

  • aww i love you piggie its soo cute i have three i used to have one but it had babies.. I AM A GIRL

  • awwww, poor thing..... i didnt think you could actually give them a bath...:)

  • oh its so sweet!

  • AWWWWW. My pigs have springs on their hind legs and can practically leap out of tall basins when they get bathed. It doesn't happen often.

  • too cute!!

  • @ThePomelo94

    :( aww

  • Dont wash it over its nose or mouth... it has so small loungs, so if it is taking a breath when you dip it under the water, your drowning it

  • @MemberMan080 That's an incredibly long time for a guinea pig to live! I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you had him for so long.

  • knuffig :)

  • awww thts sooo cute 

  • It really isnt bad but dont over clean its bad for your cavys skin. i do every 3 months or so.

  • Thank you soooo much! I didn't want to damage her ears by wetting them, but now I know I can! Thanks

  • thats so cute!!(: i might want to get one but idkkk

  • OMG that looks like my meghan omg omg seriously . lol meghan has milk nose though!!! hehehe i swear i look at that and see meghan hehe ok i'll shush but guinea pigs are so cool!

  • Can you get their ears wet? Someone said you couldn't and my guinea pig is quite new and I haven't have her a bath yet and I'm confused!

  • @codie2760 You can wet their ears, just make sure to dry them very well afterward. Most pigs don't like it, mostly because it's uncomfortable, but then again most humans don't like water in their ears either ya know?

  • Looks Like A Turkey

  • awwwww cute:)

  • THUMBS up if you have a gunniea pig (: and you love it! :D

  • @Duffieex3 My friend and I have 11 guinea pigs together. Here's her website dedicated to them: piggyloversunited (.) c0m

  • @Duffieex3 i want 1 THEIR SO FREAKING CUTE! lol

  • @Duffieex3 IT!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • @Duffieex3 i have 6 guinea pigs, 5 females and 1 male

  • @Duffieex3 im getting mine tomorrow, it's a peruvian :) my friends new job does not meet the standards of the social interaction a guinea pig needs so im taking it off of her hands..i can't wait!

  • You should never bath a guinea pig. You might think its good for them but its not - only bath them like once a year... not even that...

  • @B3TH1able It isn't bad for them, it just isn't essential because guinea pigs groom themselves a lot and they are pretty clean animals. But humans generally have a different definition of clean. If you use warm water and baby shampoo and make sure the water don't go near their faces, baths can't be bad for them.

  • @devilhunterred u shouldnt use baby shampoo :L! You use animal shampoo, specialy designed for guinea pigs cause baby shampoo harms small animals... you fail :p

  • @JcbirdStatue Baby shampoo also works, you can ask your vet. My ex-gf has been using baby shampoo on our 13 guinea pigs for years, it's been fine.

  • i have a guinea pig too maybe i will put some videos of him on youtube after i have a recording camera that works or when i get a new one

  • magic 1:20 :D

  • awwww....sweat!^^<3

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

  • I wash mine once a month and he is perfectly fine.

  • bist du ein bissle blöd?

  • love this! and it's great that your piggy is so cooperative and seems to be relaxed about the bath. I have a guinea piggy also and she is pretty cooperative during baths, too. It's so funny that when they get wet, they become soooo little! (fur sticking to skin). <3 <3 <3

  • awwwww

  • guinea pigs can grow up to a foot long, my guinea pig is 1ft and 1in he's really big!

  • hahahah cute

  • baby

  • im not sure where to get guinea pig shampoo but a animal expert said for me to use johnson baby shampoo is this correct?

  • @57lavasurfer correct!

  • How do you make yours sit so calm?? Mine hates when they have to have a shower.

  • multi u can give them baths and they can get very smelly after a bit and can get sick if u dont give them baths.

and omg i wish my guinea would love baths like that she would be so cute ^-^

  • you cant give them baths just brush them or something!

  • @MultiDomino10

So if they're dirty or have fleas you just brush them??

    Cause brushing solves everything?

PLEASE tell me you don't think the same way about your hair....

  • they sound asian. probably cleaning it to eat it

  • awwww, she loves that! they dont need baths, they keep themselvs clean.

  • I heard that Guinea Pigs can die from bath

    is it true?

  • @henryjoe29 yeah, they could drown, get a chill, cold, anything. so u shouldnt do it unless told to do it by a vet, andf tehy will tell u the proper way

  • LOL!!!!! most adorable thing ive seen all day

  • I wash mine. Love how they plug the hole with their chubby bums haha.

Its really hot here in Brisbane and so lately I on the odd occasion stick them under the cold tap to cool them down.

And yes, they can get smelly when they sit in their wee and poo

  • This dries out your piggies skin!

  • Oh die arme Maus man... Ist zwar ganz süß, aber Meeris können sich total schnell erkälten und bei Meerschweinchen ist das nicht grad nur eine leichte Erkältung...

  • also the shampoo shes using probably doesn't harm their skin (if you bother to read up on it before judging). guinea pigs IF bathed! she only be bath with special shampoo or baby shampoo is is light and doesn't have harsh chemicals. also a long haired guinea pig (Peruvian) requires more maintenance such as baths, combing and brushing out tangles a clumps also trimming.

  • you guys need to calm down its okay to bath guinea pigs :/ it actually reduces scent and shedding fur. guinea pigs aren't like most rodent just saying.

  • it is bigger as mine piggy D: lol now i know a bit more how to wash Nemo ._."

  • I want this guini ;)

  • did your guinea pig bite you? O.O;

  • i can tell shes a young piggy becuz her nose is and her face is smaller

  • WTH ARE YOU DOING? NEVER BATH A SMALL ANIMAL EG. HAMSTERS, GUINEA PIGS .... IT WILL GET REALLY COLD AND MIGHT DIE! END OF STORY

  • @Lovingstar1234 WTF? Are they like Gremlins?

  • @Lovingstar1234 He mightve needed a bath... {IE couldve gotten sticky stuff in his fur}

  • @emoxxchelsey NO IT DIDNT NEED A BATH. IT CAN GET REALLY COLD YOU CAN JUST COMB IT

  • @Lovingstar1234 Have you ever actually owned a guinea pig, hamster, rabbit, etc? Because sometimes you cant just comb through the hair especially if there is something sticky (like gum) or wet mud. I've never had a hamster or guinea pig die on me because of a bath. Grow up.

  • @emoxxchelsey actually yeah i have a guinea pig AND a hamster and every time i buy em they say NOT TO BATH EM

  • @Lovingstar1234 lol are you serious? Guinea pigs need baths as much as humans do (well, not every day necessarily). But they get covered in feces and urine, especially their feet.

  • what products do you use? and is it safe to shower them?? can you give me some tips?

  • awwww... so cute!!!

  • guinea-pig.... y u so fucking adorable????

  • you know guina pigs can die if you bath them ? and they were ill ;(

    sry for my bad english
