theres a possibility the simcard for the hsdpa is hiding under a sticker or something. quite a few cheap chinese android ipad clones hide sim slots under stickers.
Yes, it's real, but they sold I'm The States, too, tho they were probably more popular in Asia. UMPC's came onto the market around 2007, but weren't too popular. IDKY, but I think they were just way too expensive. Like, the $700-$900 range.
They pretty much stopped making them once the Asus EEE PC came out and Netbook started to gain popularity. (netbooks are a good compromise between size and price)
just curios, why do you have so many of thoes handheld computers? I can understand if you replace them every year or so, but you seem to have a bunch of newer ones. Burn through them quick?
I thing ist looking great. Very technical, not so flutchy as other umpc or most Tech devices. By the way i think silver is the most ugly coler i've ever seen. Its bad to see this color is nearly on all devices by bow...
I've done my share of studying this device, I plan to purchase one, and I've been trying to find out, how would I be able to install something to it from a CD? IS the only way to do this through an external USB CD drive?
External USB drive is the easiest way but you can also 'mount' a software copy of a CDROM if you make a copy of it. Keywords to investigate are 'ISO', 'Deamon Tools'
Wow, beautiful device, I'm a complete newb to these Types of Devices - my friend just purchased an ASUS Eee (is that right?), nifty Tiny Laptop, but this is just something else!
And I have seen $800 stated as a possible retail price for it!? For £500 (About $950?) here in England I would be paying out for the VYE LX800, might be worth importing this sorta "Gizmo" when it's released in the USA. On that note, I have seen no mention of it's release date...
Actually, the scroll bar position in this one and the OQO is being critized a lot. When you are inking on the screen your hand touch the scrollbars all time. Most of the OQO owners turn off the scrollbars for that reason.

such a nice design with one stupid mistake. why would they make the camera a slide out penis? that would suck if someone snapped it off.
asdfxyz1 3 years ago
That's exactly why it slides back in.

Yes, good point but this is no inking device due to soft touch screen. One advantage for left handers!!
