right i think i can do this sound finally, but my sound is produced quite high in my throat. is this right? i am doing the k snare and the 808 kick at the same time, just when i do the kick at the same time as my k snare, my 808 kick is higher in my throat than compared to when i do the kick on its own. hope this makes sense. urs sounds stronger :)

@fl1pb0x Somebody best described the inward snare as being more of a "snap" than a full on inward snare. See if that description helps at all.

but I have a tip for everyone who has troule with this sound. Cuz I myself didn't think I could actually do it, until i put my hand on my throat to see whether or not I was actually making the 808 sound (I didn't think I was)

but it turns out I was, just quietly.

So my tip to everyone:

put your hand on your throat while doing the snare sound and try to get the same feeling as when you do your 808 sound

It's all about practice. Experiment with different tongue positions, make it very sharp and harsh, see what you can do :)

Are you able to do the two sounds separately? Build up pressure for the inward K then, just as you let it make the "kch" sound, do the throat kick.
