dizdreme is right, teletoon sucks today. it's just not the same anymore, and the sad thing is, the same's happening everywhere. back then, vrak tv was almost nothing but cartoons. today, it's basically the disney channel airing only live action crap with spongebob thrown in. and on the english side, let's not even think of what happened to YTV.

I remember when this first came on to Cartoon Network. I used to watch that channel religiously. It was around that time that Fat Dog Mendoza first came on too. Great times.

Man, watching this stuff can just make you feel so down sometimes. I love all the old cartoons from the my childhood and I totally remember this one. My cousin loved this show. This is such an underrated show. I re-watched a bunch of them recently, and they're even better now that I'm older. For kids, the fast paced zany antics are great, but there are so many pop culture and movie references (Newton's transformations are basically just an excuse to transform and spoof as many movies as possible), as well as gags that only an older audience would get.

My guess is that either

- creativity has become expensive or

- they're afraid of giving us what we want (for fear of being sued)

In the old days, when they weren't made for theaters, cartoons were sponsored by toy companies itching to make a quick buck. These days, I'm tempted to say that there's almost *too much* brand name stuff to keep 'da machine' running.

Besides, we have the tech to make our own shows (or so they'd argue) - could we truly make something better? (I say...maybe) ^_^;
