  • Haha Annie Lenord speaks up for the EPA in her videos and then gets paid by the EPA to make cartoons?

  • That is repulsive. Annie Leonard is a wallowing shit.

  • Hahaha this is one of the most ridiculous videos I've seen, I can't believe people listen to this crap and believe it

  • You are the perfect example of a tard. she is trying to promote good health and environmental responsibility yet you are more concerned with this going to schools than dominos pizza. but hey, you would like dominos pizza in schools because then they get fat and need to spend money on health care which promotes GDP. you tard

  • Does anyone find Brad to be kind of stupid and annoying? God I went to grade school with kids like him. Also about the game he talks about, that sounds like a terrible video game, I'd love to see its fictional Metacritic score.

  • Next stop, Luke.... sounds like a machine that takes normal kids and spits out brainwashed liberals.

  • Your Just an Idiot.. Accept That! Open Your Eyes..!

  • When the CPB comes up to you and asks you to make a mini series about how Anni Leonard is ruining our children, then maybe I'll take you seriously.

But for now, really? Really? Everything Anni Leonard is creating is a step in the right direction. You can keep living under your little rock where the earth is infinite and stuff disappears after the trash man takes it away, but I hope the next generation is a little bit more aware of themselves and their surroundings than you are.

  • If my tax dollars are going to organizations headed by people like Annie Leonard - I would be absolutely thrilled!! Better to go towards a noble cause like hers than towards military spending or subsidizing big corporations!

  • (Sarcasm)I think the US Army commercials are a lot cheaper and less destructive than the educational videos made by Annie Leonard. After your mentality everyone should be dreaming Burger King and happy Coca-Cola commercials.

  • What kind of idiot are you?

It´s people like you who raise their children wo become just as ignorant as the current generation. Thanks for trashing the planet!

  • @almdudlerin4792 Yup. No argument, only name-calling and ad-hominid attacks. Try again later.

  • What kind of idiot are you?

It´s people like you who raise their children wo become just as ignorant as the current generation. Thanks for trashing the planet!

  • I see nothing wrong with Annie Leonard. Your just jealous because she can save our environment unlike you.

  • In your video u said "change the culture" which has a negative conotation. You left out the very important word "SUSTAINABILITY". You also criticised the video promote "ANTI-CONSUMERISM". Dude, that makes perfectly sense if you would think for just one minute. Kids (and adults too of course) should have an idea on the effects products have.

  • OK... What?

The segment I saw was about not using juice boxes. Can you tell us exactly what part of the segment was false?

  • Dear Sirs

    wroumieh@scs-net.org

    best regards

  • thank you for indoctorenateing my little 7 yearold sister madam. not dang you and lasttime i checked juice boxes are made of cardboard witch means it isnt gona take 300 years to degrade. i have deprogram my little sister constantly tahnks to our schools

  • Why should you put your money where your mouth is, and start buying personal products labeled, free of parabens, encapsulated nano particles, propylene glycol, mineral oil, EDTA, ureas, phthalates, fragrances and artificial colors?

Why should you put your money where your mouth is and buy your meats from farm that support and promoting local, sustainable agricultural practices?

Why should you educate your children to think about these questions?

I really shouldn't have provide an answer!

  • the use of tax dollars to actually EDUCATE children other than to FEAR MONGER, DRUG and HYPNOTISE them in nazi style schools is a GREAT THING. (yes i said NAZI, because if one ACTUALLY studies what happened to 2800 NAZI scientists and doctors and what they did, one WILL find they just moved to the USA and were HIRED BY THE CIA for NAZI studies, experiments and control of humans with PROPAGANDA , DRUG MANIPULATION and types of SHOCK) the children ARE THE FUTURE, GET IT!!! hitler did.

    namastè

    devo

  • Wait did I miss something here? Why is attacking the juice box and asking for kids to drink from metal bottles a bad thing? Yes I understand you are the better debater and obviously unlike "Annie" you do your research. But excuse me when I say WTF? That message was harmless. And it becomes especially hard for me as a viewer when it feels like you are trying to attack another person rather then her points. (This isn't hate mail)

  • What makes this garbage? If individuals go into the world not even considering how the system they're in works, they will not be able question that system. Good or bad, what scares you about questions? Tell kids about big systems, and you will have a smarter, more powerful populace, when they grow up. I am glad I am helping to pay for this.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks : Who do you work for? I'm having a hard time understanding why you make these videos.

Don't you think it's better to be "indoctrinated" with the skills to make your own juice rather than go buy a packaged juice?

You sound like Bush after 911 when he told everybody to shop.

  • Sign the petition for a debate between Leonard and Doren: tinyurl 643tb8n

  • This presentation all seems so ironic, until you realise that the speaker is trying to be serious!! Loop scoops is a fantastic example of teaching critical thinking for children. It's brilliant. I'd be happy to pay for it!

  • @fastfugazi

Then pay for it, some of us don't want to pay for this garbage. Take your money and donate it to produce this crap.

  • @fastfugazi No, it's not. It's telling children that the planet is being destroyed because they buy products, and that all their products are toxic. How is a 5-year-old to respond to this? Authority figures can tell them anything and they'll believe it. There is no critical thinking involved. And it doesn't matter if -you're- happy to pay for it. Taxes are taken from everyone. Are you happy to pay for the murder of thousands in wars? Because there are people that are.

  • We are teaching our children politics, how to vote, all about stds, drugs obesity, gay relations. Why can't we teach them to take from the planet only what they need?

  • This material should be in all public school!!!

  • Lets see,our tax dollars, support criminals in jail and welfare and other useless programs in our educational system(that is failing us)otherwise we wouldn't have college students that can not spell or do simple math without a calculator. So what is wrong with some of the tax dollars contributing to a project like this one?this in not communisim nor are we being indoctrinated. It is a matter of living more responsible and taking only what we need.It is a matter of spiritual harmony!!

  • Just now caught the "HTWW" things Annie did, lol

  • Good on you Annie.

We do need to change the culture, because culture is what braiwashes people to think that things just "appear" in the supermarket shelves and "disappear" once we throw them out.

We humans are should be held accountable for environmental destruction, so teaching kids how to be more environmental aware is necessary, responsible and wise...a great way to spend public taxes on. better than on war don't you think Mr .I-don't-want-our-culture-to-change???

    fuck you capitalist pig

  • @holeen1986 Ok we'll have it your way then, see you soon when our economy crashes and we are all in poverty Mr. I-don't-want-our-nation-to-prosper

    fuck you environmental notzi

  • @holeen1986 "...braiwashes people to think that things just "appear" in the supermarket shelves and "disappear" once we throw them out."

I've never met anyone who thinks this way, nor does our 'culture' brainwash people into thinking this way.

    "fuck you capitalist pig"

Because socialism and corporatism have worked out -so- well in this country, huh?

  • Yes, indoctrinating kids into environmentalism is evil but into religion and a culture of hate and inequality is OK? America Fuck yea!!!!!

  • So its wrong to teach kids to do the intelligent and responsible actions?

  • @emongu1 No, its wrong for brainwashing kids and telling kids that their playdoh will kill everyone on Earth. Fuck Anni Leonard.

  • @TheChristmasFan what about brainwashing kids to make them think that they need to be skinny to be liked or that they will get good emotions by eating unhealthy food? tard

  • @danndan6 That doesn't happen, show me adequate proof that people are brainwashing kids into thinking that, guess what? you can't. Its called encouragement, not brainwashing. Kids have the choice of eating right and exercising. By the way, who the fuck comments to something that was posted 7 months ago. TARD!

  • @TheChristmasFan oh right, you're the type of person who encourages kids to value themselves on their appearance, to encourage them to eat junk food and encourage them to pollute their environment? at least you're coming from a different mindset. what is so wrong with wanting the next generation to be more environmentally and socially conscious than our own? and of course they're brainwashed to consume. modern advertising is ingenius beyond belief. anorexia didn't occur 60 decades ago!!!

  • @danndan6 I never said I encourage kids to destroy their life you dumb ignorant fuck . Get the hell out of here, we don't want your bullshit on here. The discussion ends here.

  • "Look the evil doers are trying to teach your kids that you should care for the environment!! We have to stop them and teach them do make more and more waste because we need to sell moro and more disposable waste and burry all the third wold countries with our trash! We have to stop it!!"

Who the f**** believes in this crap!!

  • Our tax dollars are paying to save the environment? Oh noes!

  • I was going to post a ranting response to this video about how dumb it is, but I see several people have already done that.

  • @jercun33 To further your understanding, I recommend reading "The True Believer". You might get to understand people like Annie and, perhaps ti might be self-enlightening. I think her intentions are "good"; but remember, "Hell is a road paved with good intentions".

  • @jercun33 To further your understanding, I recommend reading "The True Believer". You might get to understand people like Annie and, perhaps ti might be self-enlightening.

  • Ms Leonard and her ilk are described quite accurately in Hayek's "Road to Surfdom" and Hoffer's "The True Believer". It is laughable and scary that she believes 6-10 year old children actually have a level of critical thinking that could distinguish her programs as the propaganda they are. In her ideal world, she and her busybodies would be busy telling the rest of the society (peasants) what to do, when to do it, or else. We should all insist 6-10 year olds be taught basic economics.

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Why would you stop Annie Leonard from saving the world? Your world? My world? These are facts. The reason Annie Leonard is trying to educate kids to use more sustainable methods of living is because she understands the risks of our current system. If you don't agree you would just be ignorant. The only way to save our planet from total pollution is by education, actually, re-education.

  • @jercun33 So beause she is saving the earth which is the most noble goal a human can have, then that gives her the power to lie and deceit as much as she wants no matter how wrong the facts are? Since the goal is so noble, how you reach that goal doesnt matter right?

  • @killerbee2k No, I don't see where she's lying. Most of the things that she says are true. What do you think she's lying about?

  • @jercun33 She doesnt take into account incineration plants or recycle plants which are plentifull. Incineration plants have sophisticaded filtering system today, most of the smoke is harmless and it produces energy from waste, their great. There will not be 1,2 trillion trashed juice boxes here in the future.

  • It's conservative bigots like you who indoctrinate kids, not people like Annnie Leonard who actually have an idea about where the world is going. You tell me LOGICALLY how the way our consumerist cycle is good for anyone, even the ones 'benefiting' from it. If Annie Leonard denounces our broken, selfish, capitalistic, Wal-Mart dominated system, more power to her. You stay in your world of ignorance and pretend that there aren't problems in the world, and that corporate America is always right.

  • there is nothing wrong with being environment-friendly. this video actually allows us to think about our consumption behavior. it's not like i am trying to support anti-capitalist ideas, but we must also think about how our actions affect the environment. for example, the video with the juice boxes thing, if keep on buying juice packed in juice boxes, we are creating lots of waste every year. well, we could still buy them, but we have to lessen our consumption, to some extent at least.

  • @photolysis1 "This video allows us to think..." I shudder in horror.

  • They didn't have this kinda brain control when I was a kid...

My biggest problem is that the government funds anti-capitalism and programs which clearly will weaken the economy more.

The entire premise in this video is completely clear brainwashing!

This woman is using public money to force her beliefs (Some of which are untrue, some is) onto children...against the consent of their parents.

What the Hell happened to individual freedom?

  • @BioHunter1990 "They didn't have this kinda brain control when I was a kid..." Really? When I was a kid, I was put to see "Soylent Green", a piece of leftist propaganda in which mankind was fed by green cookies that turned out to be made of human flesh of those who kill themselves by using a "suicide service" provided by the cookie manufacturer. It wasn't in school but in a greenie activist group that I'm sure was subsidised by the state.

  • @john42t I overlooked Soylent Green, plus that's probably before my time, and I don't remember in MY life seeing anything like this. I am only 20, but I have a sharp eye for filth thrown at me by an extreme left. Plus my mother did her best to make sure we (my sister and I) never saw this crap if it did exist.

  • They didn't have this kinda brain control when I was a kid...

  • Are you kidding?! It's not about using juice boxes to scare kids, but giving them another perspective on our environment and how we need to take responsibility. I like her and most of her facts are true. You're attack on her is pretty weak. You're just trying to knock her since she's going against the mass media and government.....who you probably work for. Good for her and you're lame.

  • When will someone stop Annie's videos???

  • I watch the PBS kids with my kids. I don't think they are becoming "indoctrinated." It helps us to think about alternatives to our consumption. We watch them and discuss them, they are great discussion tools. We watched this together, as well, and discussed it. Our conclusion: consumption and capitalism is its own type of indoctrination.

  • @parsonphotography Yeah. Imagine that. People like keeping what they earn.

No indoctrination at all. The circutry is there.

  • @parsonphotography "Our conclusion: ..." So you and your kids (who financially and psychiologically depend on you) have come to that conclusion. If your children grow up believing that capitalism is indoctrination, why would they fight hard for a profession? If you're wrong, then your kids won't be loving you any more once they figured that out. If you're correct, who do you think will thank you? Don't put "society" over your children. Society is a myth, your children are real.

  • This sounds pretty cool! It uses a child's perspective to show how pollution affects the planet and give alternatives to save the environment, damn I think I'll help fund this cartoon!

  • And there is no better evidence of America's decline that the moans of just these sorts of right wing radicals... it is just too bad that they have outsourced the manufacturing eco-damage to China and the Third World...

  • The first law of socio-economics: The closer the world come's to human caused environmental destruction the louder the screams of denial from those who wish to continue with the same obese way of life (1st-world, but declining ;-) i.e. previously, rich elites).

  • yawns

What kind of nutter would get upset about these programs and any minor inaccuracies!

Aren't there many more worthy problems in the world to get upset and hence active or even activist about!

    Who is this guy LDoren?

Might he be somebody running for office? (Probably local and minor at that)...

  • 1,200,000,000,000? That's one juice box per dollar of this year's deficit!

  • Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Control Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them

  • 1.2 Trillion ?!!!!! Sounds like the deficit!!!

  • agree 100%

    Stop the Liberal Fascists!

  • home school your children

  • Just saw this episode of Glenn Beck... and almost missed him thanking you! Good job Lee!

  • OH BOY, TAX MONEY TO A GOOD FUND THAT EDUCATES. LETS CRY ABOUT IT NOW. OH WAIT, WE WOULD HAVE MORE TAX REVENUE IF THE RICHEST WERE TAXED MORE BUT NO, THAT MAKES TOO MUCH FUCKING SENSE.

YOU'RE FUCKING SCUM OF THE WORLD HOWTHEWORLDWORKS.

  • @Dan4157 Caps Locks is cruise control for stupid.

It is not fair to pile taxes onto the rich. They aren't your piggy bank. They are not the government's piggybank.

  • @Dan4157 Glad to see someone owning their lack of brainpower.

Your opinion on how much money is enough is irrelevant.

The rich do not deserve more taxes just for being rich.

Of all the sites I've looked at regarding the depression the rich not getting taxed was NOT a factor. Stop bending history to justify your (now) baseless opinion.

If someone made a billion they deserve the privelege of deciding how to spend it.

    Not you. Never you.

  • @Dan4157

You are rich compared to someone from Haiti (the average Haitian makes about $300 per YEAR). So if you donated the $30 you spend each month on your internet connection, you could feed a whole family of starving kids for a month? But I guess you'd rather fart around on Youtube than help out starving kids, right? Greedy bastard... ;)

  • @wormer104

Yeah, I make near min wage, and I don't want the govt stealing money from "the rich" just so I can buy a new car. So what if it's not "fair"? It's not "fair" to poor kids in Africa that I have my own place, own a car, etc.

The truth is socialists are the real materialists, because they believe their personal unhappiness is because they don't have as much moolah as the next guy. Me, I don't care. I think character is what builds true happiness, not receiving a welfare check.

  • @elvishairdude12 What the governent gives it can take away and if you become dependant on their "gifts" they now have a leash on you that they will and have used on others.

    It's basic.

  • @Dan4157

Learn how to use caps lock and we might take you seriously. A "good fund that educates"? Lol yeah. Might as well be funding creationism if that's your idea of a "good educational fund".

  • This is a disaster

  • saw this on Glenn Beck and the first thing that popped into my head was HowTheWorldWorks

  • tried to open my front door the other day. JUICE BOXES WERE EVERYWHERE!!!! you kids should be ashamed of yourselves, I'm looking at you little timmy.

  • Comment removed

  • Um, not a fan of government control. But waste is a real issue. Don't have a problem with kids getting this message. For the first time I am disappointed with you, Doren. Why is this an issue? You can see my posts in the past. Not a plant or troll. How does manufacturing infinite non biodegradable material make good sense?

  • @KaptinObvious

How does it make sense to teach kids that manufacturing infinite non-biodegradable material will cause a bunch of robots to kill off the human population 100s of years later?

  • @elvishairdude12 Don't get caught up...serioulsy...The message is to not be a consumer to companies that choose the cheap and destructive way. Unless you are saying yes this is a real issue but robots don't make sense. Thus we need another way to convey this info to our kids...If that is the case I can buy in to it.

  • @KaptinObvious yes but i don't want to buy into it. if you want to give your money to them fine. but mine is being taken away and used to teach something i don't believe. Annie Lennard is a shill. she jumps on the hate corporations bandwagon and gives out false info. its pathetic. when you hear people like Annie argue something you can almost always be sure its all made up or twisted facts.

  • @KaptinObvious Presuming it is a problem, how can little kids help it? Any boy seeing this will merely be intimidated. Any conformist little girl with no real ambition but lots of insecurities will jump on it shoving her overblown eco-based ego in the face of those of her peers who want to be proud of actual accomplishments rather than "doing good". This isn't about waste. I was delivered this kind of crap as a kid and thought my hatred of it was unjustified. Now I know it wasn't.

  • Further proof that liberal ideas always require someone else's money.

  • @UTubekookdetector indeed! These views will never last in the private sector. That is because everyone knows how ridiculous and stupid it is.

  • MAINE: Thanks and as Milton Friedman said, sooner or later you run out of other people's money. I must also mention, congratulations on capturing the ME state legislature and the governor's mansion. I hope your state GOP starts cutting the fat and your state leads the way in our economic recovery (which might not occur until after Obama is ousted).

  • @UTubekookdetector And they inevitably fail...but not before having us all on our knees at the chopping block.

  • @UTubekookdetector

But I have never seen a conservative turn any of that money down either. Tax dollars have been used to fund all kinds of projects for a long time now.

The real theft is that after a product or service is developed they sell it back to us again.

This isn't a right/left issue both sides are doing it.

  • COS: You are partially correct in your assertion that the GOP has a spending/subsidy problem. Look how much subsidy programs exploded while Bush was in the WH & the GOP controlled Congress. However, I do know several conservatives & libertarians who have sworn off earmarks & want many of these market-distorting subsidy programs ended. Are tyou agreeing with my premise that liberal ideas require someone else's money? Do you favor an end to taxpayer-funding & tax deductions for public broadcasting

  • Not only is it accurate, but poignant that our kids learn to not make the same mistakes our lazy apathetic adults are making.

  • @lpellegrino22

It's not accurate. Robots wouldn't need juiceboxes to kill us - they'd have laser guns or rocket launchers. ;)

  • Annie Leonard is a brave voice in a world that is confused as to what real innovation is. Share more. Consume less.

  • @lpellegrino22

How much is Annie paying you to be her personal PR rep? Wait no, if you were actually getting paid for it, it wouldn't be so sad.

  • Even if that is true that a juicebox would last 300 years (something i doubt), if compressed to 1 cm3 that would be a landfill of 3000 ft by 30000 ft and 300 ft high. Not exactly covering the entire planet... I think the planet can handle it :)

  • @longbeachboy57 Well that's just juice boxes, imagine all the other stuff we consume and how much waste that would make even if we did compress it.

  • @FailBlob Yes, but the thing is that the juice boxes were supposed to last for centuries. (I seriously doubt that that is the case). Most of what we waste is paper, metals and plastic. Everything of this is either recycled by humans, burnt for heating/energy or recycled by nature it self. Very little "accumulates" somewhere. Take the New York City dump for example. It is a tiny bit of land in PA. It corresponds in size to a few blocks in NYC. NYT had a great piece about it a few years ago...

  • Your voice infuriates me.

  • Fucking captain planet

  • i don't understand.

whats wrong with being environmentally friendly?

  • @lightsinthesky246

This video is not being environmentally friendly. It contains false information, and the creator of the cartoon is too ignorant of common sense, to realize that kids don't learn "not to pollute" by watching a toddler's cartoon which teaches them that robots will kill them for throwing out juiceboxes.

It's useless nonsense which (aside from being flat out incorrect) will not "make kids environmentally friendly", and a big waste of tax dollars. That's the problem.

  • @lightsinthesky246 nothing is wrong with being environmentally friendly...the problem is that conservation is used as a front for Socialism and Communism. Notice that virtually every pro-environmentalist of any repute is anti-Capitalist, and will do anything to force their ideas down our throats.

Being responsible is obviously fine. But letting nutjobs fill our heads with lies and empty guilt-trips isn't right.

And the fact that our GOVERNMENT pays for this is criminally negligent.

  • @lightsinthesky246 When did he say being environmentally friendly was wrong?

  • @lightsinthesky246 If youre initiating force against someone using factual innacuracy to bolster your claims.

  • Juice boxes? Jesus, lady, have you seen what milk comes in? And then you have plastic bumpers on cars, TV remotes, computers, ballpoint pens, advertising key fobs, Barbies, buttons, Tampon injectors, combs, brushes, baubles and beads OH MY! This f***ing planet has been wiping its own backside for billions of years and YOU what to tell us how save the planet? EGO ALERT, EGO ALERT!!!

  • @ojiisan1945 aluminum 1873,petrolium based plastic 1894, card board 1956, theres a substantial difference between 1 billion and 130 years

  • Personally, I don't mind teaching kids a thing or two about environmentalism, but trying to scare kids with a lot of hyperbole seems like a bad idea. Yes, there might be a trillion juice boxes in 3 hundred years, but some of those juice boxes can be recycled, should the economics of the situation justify it. 500 hundred years of US garbage could fit into a single landfill a fraction of the size of the smallest US state. Hardly a "weapon."

  • @tkwelge In fact, if I were designing a weapon, I would want it to actually be effective over a timespan that doesn't require centuries.

  • hate her...

  • Ironically the kids, especially the boys in the class, are more likely to get into the thing up until the boy in the video gets handed a juice box. Then they'll probably zone out, after such a cool lead up with such a lame result. Here's your...juice box? >_<

But yeah, this shouldn't be tax payer funded. It's so far off base from what schools need to be teaching kids, it's ridiculous- add to that the fact that this lady is inaccurate, and it's enough to drive you batty. O_o

  • So, when will they ban juice boxes in school? Oh, that's right, they' will be making kids consume items regulated by the Agriculture Department.

  • Is it just me because i dont see anything wrong with the cartoon, to teach children to understand are resources and take care of are envirment. The idea that this is anticapitalist is not thier.

  • @smithbrass

"OUR" not "are". How about teaching them spelling and grammar instead of indoctrinating them in the evils of technology?

It is anti-capitalist because it demonizes a common product which benefits millions of people, created and acquired via capitalism. It attempts to remove the weighing of the benefits and costs to the individual making the purchase and replace it with some collectivist priority.

  • @Hiraghm well you can spot a spelling mistake. but your reasoning on anticapitalism lacks thought.pcp's bennifited millions of people to but we're all happy we got rid of it now sure pcp's affect us alot quicker but the outcome of both is still the same. teaching children about the envirment is a smart thing to do.

  • @smithbrass

It wasn't a spelling mistake; you used one word in place of another because they sound similar. That is a symptom of the flaw in our educational system, where they focus on brainwashing kids into worshipping mommy Earth and the evils of capitalism rather than teaching them the tools to think for themselves.

As for pcps, I'm not happy we got rid of it.

We got rid of DDT because of crackpot brainwashing, and millions have died as a result.

  • @Hiraghm actually more people have died from the banning of DTDs and the enviromentalist that supported its ban than every war in history combined. I forget the exact figure, but its something like 140,000,000 people are infected each year and about half die as a result of it. so in just on year the inviromentalist have killed 70,000,000 people thats more than WW2 and it took more than a year.

what happens when they ban penicillin?

  • @Hiraghm Are you sure; you're ok? People do make spelling errors or indeed be dyslexic & be unable to spell properly. You cannot know that via the internet & really seem to make judgements based on no evidence at all. Which is kinda a shame when you're dealing with people.

  • @smithbrass nobody ever gave a shit about PCPs accept a bunch of fucking hippies like you. get a fucking life and stop trying to controll everybody elses. within 80,000 years we will have a major volcanic erruption that will bring us into another ice age killing 99 percent of humanity and all life. so it really doesn't matter.

  • @gtq838 wow i thought the other dunbass wold catch the pcp thing but he did make a connection with chemicals. Its funny how right wingers like to jump on the wagon with guys like beck an rush even lee here and say how brainwashed the left is.common sensce lacking in the right wing corner.acorner that is so full of hate and can not tollerate indiference , so sad.

  • @smithbrass if your going to call somebody a name at least try to spell it correctly. So how am I brainwashed? you said something about the banned of pcp and i said that nobody gave a shit about the banning of pcp except hippies which is true. I do have a problem with the banning of dtds which save millions of lives every year and juice boxes which really don't hurt anybody. comparing pcp to juice boxes make you the dumbass. try spelling at least half your words right next time.

  • @gtq838 Wow, you only used 3 capitol letters in that whole post! Which proves, you're an anti-capitolist.

  • @ojiisan1945 umm I think you mean capital.

  • @gtq838 YES! that's what I meant. See, now it's clever.

  • So basically what this eco-commie Annie Leonard is saying is that video games are simply bad for the environment and promote capitalism? Hmmmm, isn't there another thing that has mercury in it in which these eco-commies love? Those lightbulbs shaped like curly fries? How come we have to stop using a DS but use those chintzy bulbs? Methinks they want to squeeze out another industry. An industry I hope to be a part of in the near future.

  • @NamelessFlux

    Exactly right.

  • In all fairness to leonard, those juice boxes are a nightmare. What's wrong with the little hugs that have been around since I was a kid?

  • I think schools should show 2 oposite opinions in every matter. If only I could draw....

  • @rangergxi

I think schools should stick to teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and real science. Y'know, chemistry, biology, physics, and not in relation to polluting poor mommy Earth.

  • Nobody on the production staff said "Uh, droids ... like in Star Wars?" so Annie could then say "Ah, that must be where I subconsciously ripped that word from."

    ?

  • @BrainsGambino

Yes, notice they were machine-like creatures. Not collectivist organisms like space-bees or space-ants. It's been the meme for decades, ever since Star Bores, in fact, that technology is on the side of evil. Look at Darth Vader, "He's more machine than man now".

George Lucas should be taxed 110%.

  • Thanks, HTWW, for The Story of Socialist Proselytism.

  • anti-capitalism and juice boxes are scare tactics from the liberals...

you yanks are SERIOUSLY messed up :D

  • @Darusdei

Coming from a non-American, thanks for the compliment.

  • When I was a kid, I loved to watch Batman: The Animated Series. Now kids today get this piece of crap.

  • Congrats on being credited by Glenn Beck.

  • what would be more painful for a child? Being forced to watch this tripe, or running face first into a wall at full speed? You decide.

  • @ProfessorErnest

Eventually, you'd be able to remove the wall from his face. Unfortunately, it'll be nearly impossible to remove this garbage from his mind.

  • This isn't "Schoolhouse Rock". Imagine the good that would happen if the time wasted showing this to kids was spent showing them Schoolhouse Rock, instead.

  • Hey, I heard Glenn beck plug you on his show, Congrats!

  • @RepubConserv thanks

  • I watched the video on the Nintendo DS where it tries to scare kids on disposing these devices due to the mercury content. Apparently tossing millions of DSes into landfills will put a dangerous amount of mercury into the earth, but wait! Isn't mercury an element and therefore cannot be created or destroyed without a nuclear reaction? Doesn't that mean the amount of mercury in our environment will be unchanged? Hell, trap it in landfills!

  • @ScubaSteve1974 I also watched the Loop Scoops about the Nintendo DS. No kid would throw a working DS in the trash just because he wanted a newer version (such as the DSi or DSi XL). The video should have informed kids that they could sell their old video game systems on eBay or trade them in at GameStop. There's even a market for broken video game systems on eBay because they're good for parts. I went to Nintendo(dot)com, and they have a repair program and a "Take Back Program" for recycling.

  • @ScubaSteve1974

Exactly. Where did we get the tungsten, gold and mercury from? How much of each metal is in a DS?

Rather than trapping it in landfills, I'd rather recycle it. But they don't promote that. They promote not-buying (and therefore, not making) new devices.

Plus, they step on the dream of the kid to be a game tester. This is the job of educators?

  • HEY LEE

Congrats on your Glenn Beck mention!

  • hopefully kids will watch and be like, "wow, that was by far the gayest thing I have ever seen....EVER!! I'm gonna watch Spongebob to cleanse my mind of this piece of human excrement."

  • HOLY FUCK RETARDS! Get this THRU YOUR THICK SKULLS. THIS IS NOT ABOUT RIGHT VS LEFT. This is about the environment in which we live! This is about whether or not we want to leave a decent place for our kids and future descendants. I could care less what POLITICAL PARTY you're from as long as you care about PEEK OIL, Climate Change, and chemicals running off from farms and being mass produced in our products!!!!

  • @torontokid2006

Nah, this is about CONTROL. If it was about real environmentalism, we'd have nothing but nuclear power plants all over the place.

  • It's anti-capitalist to use a reusable water bottle now? I used to buy bottled water and that not only cost a lot but it created garbage. Now I use a aluminum bottle and just refill it.

  • @freewngs

I buy bottled water in plastic bottles. I feel proud that you choose what you do, and I choose what I do.

  • @freewngs

Yes, it's anti-capitalist. It's trying to dictate what products can be used, and therefore can be available to consumers. It's anti capitalist to lie about the nature of goods in order to condemn manufactured goods.

Make sure you sterilize that bottle between uses.

  • No big surprise. There isn't a critical thinker in the public education system who truly wants to buck the trend and bring historical accuracy into the Western culture.

  • what I get out of their message is completely different then what most of think the website is about,or at lease what this video showed. while you think it's about recycling, nothing can be farther from the truth. The recycling is the part to get parents to not fear the teachings of the website or their videos. It's the part of the space aliens. For those that do believe in God and the writting of the Bible. When the Lord returns it's said that the antichrist will wage war agains him and his follower

  • What a retarded video!!! has anyone actually watched a loop scoops??? what the hell could possibly be wrong with telling kids about recycling and bettering the environment??? Lee Doren is perhaps the most diluded individual youtube has ever seen!

  • @CetraTJ

IF this were promoting recycling, I'd agree. But it *lies* about the juice boxes, which are... recyclable. Google "juice box material" and follow the link "Juice Box: How Products are Made". It's very informative. Juiceboxes are made of paper, aluminum, polyethylene. Polyethylene is made of hydrogen and carbon.

  • @Azrayel000 Recycling isn't a lie! Aluminium can are being recycled, plastic, paper, iron,wood,rubber,glass.....Almost everything can be recycled now days. So recycling isn't a lie! The US is a laughingstock because it is Incapable to recycle its garbage.

  • @EssexPN America is capable, but we
