Eastbay5l0 thank you for your unaccredited and grammatically horrid response. If you were in any way a tech, you would know that at the time of this video Uverse did not even offer a wireless stb option. If this video is fake why would you say you see fried boxes all the time? Do us a favor and stop talking and fail quietly by yourself.
U will get Internet connectivity but your box will fry and have to pay extra fees for damaging at&ts box I am a tech and I see.this so often I have to bill u extra because u thought it was a "smart" idea DONT EVER DO THIS!
Mrbjoey, hard to tell. Have you tested out the client bridge by connecting the dd-wrt router to the computer? Might also be as simple as a reset if you haven't tried that yet.
Speaking for the entire community. We really appreciate the heads up. Simply invaluable. live long, and we hope you don't have to deal with s***y people ever again. keep being awesome.
Wow I can't believe that actually works. I'm a U-Verse field tech and would normally advise customers against doing that but if you got it working, more power to you. If you call in a trouble call be sure you hook it up the way it was or they'll probably nail you with a big fat $149 service charge fee! Also if you don't change the IP address going to the STB through the gateway from the 192 to the 178 IP your STBs are going to eventually dump the IP address and youll loose the link light, NO TV!
