why hard tails on such rigid terrain? just asking i am new to biking so was wondering if i should switch to hard tail. starting to do more drops and stuff
@TheDidaproductions I think it depends on the type of riding you want to do. Jump bikes are great for ...well, jumping. But they may not be the best for long xc rides. Dirt jump bikes will have less front end travel and smaller gearing than a hardtail downhill bike. Alot of riders will own more than one type of bike.
If this is what you call Downhill i do it on a rigid, you need jumps, drops and something thats actually technical to ride down before you could even think about calling this DH
hey guys, i have a hardtail, and i wanna try to play a downhill or freeriding, so, can i use a hardtail in freeriding? downhill? or, i need to buy a new long mm shock? *i dont wanna buy a new bike, because im still love my hardtail, lol.
2- since im a bike mechanic, im pritty sure that its nice and possible to use 200mm forks on a hardtail, as long as the geomatery (i can never spell that word!) is set correctly. which it erm....appears to be..
3- people like you fucking annoy me because know it all fuckers like you always seem to appear...sad tosser
@s38a5t13n a mix of marijuana from Amsterdam... hahaha... i meant 200 mm... anyway have fun with your hardtails and when you have the money buy a real D\H bike
Wow..... this isnt a fast run at all, no wonder why he is running a hardtail. Full sus. is what u need when u get on a real DH run. These people are talkin like hardtail is what is the best, they dont know shit. They are nice for DJ but the fulll sus. is definately the best
Good to see people still like hartails. I used to be a hardtail nut but after trying dual suspension I'm not sure I good go back. Hardtails are still the best way to learn though.
i agree hard trails are fab for starting and even goin advanced but as soon as u go full suspension u feel so diferrent and better DOWNHILL ALL THE WAY
An XC vid and children talking about putting triples on Hardtails... this is what is wrong with the world... theres no point in putting a fork with a stupid amount of travel, triple or single on a hard tail. the geo changes to much to work... you don't see lee hutchins with stupid fork on his hardtail...
Yeah, the course is so smooth and almost flat on some points. I went on rougher paths than those with my HT and I don't consider myself a Downhiller. BTW, very nasty stuff going off steep inclines with a HT. You feel every joint in your body get hammered.
hi i have an stp1 07 with the original forks and i was wondering if your stp2 with drop offs dual crown is any good?? i just want to know if the bike can handle it, cos i was thinking of upgrading but i dont have a lot of money ;) do you reckon you could post me pictures? thanks
never put double crown forks am a hardtail frame only in the cases where the frame si built and can withstand that travel an force..example santacruz jackal, evil imperial...and other big names like duncon, nicolai and so on..nice video but very easy course ...
there are pleanty of hardtail frames that can handle dual crown forks. banshee scratches and morphines are totally safe including the bikes you mentioned, plus several others
do not put a double crown on a jackal those things are awesome frames but look at the headtube angles no more then 100mm should be on a jackal. but evil imperial, mophine, rampage, .243.... etc are all good to go with double crowns
I AM 210 POUNDS ..NOT FAT JUST A BIG GUY..ANYONR KNOW OF A GOOG REAR SHOCK FOR MY WEIGHT???

im really not seeing the need for a double crown fork and full face here...

@skapunkarmy so you're suggesting they change forks and purchase new helmets as the individual trail dictates?

Dc Forks on a Hardtail?!
1. It looks shit.
2. For perfect handling use 10 to 14 cm travel.
3. What use can you take of it? 20 cm travel in the front and 0 cm on the tail????
