  • Dude, do you have a flsh guard?

  • jeez man, dont kill the bolt

  • I love how everyone comes here to bash on how this guy shoots his rifle. I mean really, like he gives a shit. Let him do what he wants! All that matters is that he's having fun shooting :) If you know what you're doing, GOOD FOR YOU!

  • Dude. Where's your eye protection?

  • its now been 3 years, still have my 710 30-06 and still shoots great.

I little oil on the bolt action and have not had any problem.

I camo sprayed it and added a muzzle brake and bipod . Shoots like a 22lr

hardly a kick. Its my best deer rifle. Ill be posting pics soon,

season starts Nov 6 in Mn and Ill attach pics.

  • looks hot out... why you wearing mittens?

  • Take it easy on the bolt. Military sniper training will teach you that during the first lesson.

  • I've had my 710 since they came out & never had a problem with mines my bolt doesn't stick either. I think they are good rifles no matter what anyone says

  • i have the model 710 30 06 i am not saying it is a good or bad rifle and im not going to argue i never had problems since i got it used a year ago the bolt is sticky sometimes it can be fixed sometimes not but whatever all guns have flaws i never really cared about the bolt it never affected my shooting in my opinion it was the best rifle i bought for 200 bucks if i was worried about the bolt and superior quality i would have payed 900 for a different gun

  • you dont have to smack the bolt out from the gun,and then look at the cam you fucking wanker

  • Lol, and even on top of that.....in case you haven't watched the video, Look at how this guy flips the bolt.

...ever really see it catch and fail?

It's not ALL rifles. Just some. I've seen some cases of bolts that just won't move. That's something you'll have to meter when you buy the gun.

  • Although, I am impressed that your rifle has made it through almost two boxes of ammunition without failure.

  • my mistake

    that is just this year

500+ rds by my count in all

  • seems pretty quiet but i cant really tell

  • I have a remington 710 that Ive never shot. Im debating weather to sell it since Ive heard some bad stories about it.

  • bad stories? I was thinking of gettiing one b/c it was based off the remington 700 and I hear its accurate and gets some range... again bad stories?

  • It's not a 700 action at all..

I don't know what it's based off of, but it's a very cheap, unreliable action, that is prone to malfunction.

  • its the sps

  • um.. NO its not

it works and i have put almost 40 rounds through mine without any problem what so ever the bolt was sticky but again USE REMOIL to clear that up

  • @Rabiesthecat

Forty rounds is certainly not a lot of shooting. Definitely not enough for me to gauge the reliability of a rifle.

  • Don't sell it....probably one of the more consistent guns out there. People give the gun a bad name because of the bolt action but I've oiled mine and it's honestly not even a problem.

  • same here

  • Comment removed

  • its not that bad it could have just been a miss-made breech

mine has no problems and i am looking into buying another

  • hey man sorry my bad i was thinking the model 770 the 710 is a decent rifle i just mixed them up

  • i hope you did not sell it

they are nice little guns even though they have a sticky bolt but a few squirts of remoil fixes that

most of the reviews and story's are people that never own or have shot them

  • ok spazz on the bolt y dont ya

  • lol so true

  • chill out bru on the re-loading. just breathe and appreciate the rifle and how it handles

  • he is a rookie. he gets too excited with his bolt action. first time he puts when in the barrel almost takes the damn bolt off

  • This guy is a rookie. I think every one will agree with me that you don't take your eyes off the target even when you shoot. Notice how he blinks and gets rattled by the recoil of the gun which is by the way, not much comparing to the ones I have even with a 7mm Win Mag. And why does he pull and push the bolt so hard? It's not like he has a moving target! Not bad of a weapon the Remington 710, nice priced too. My Custom R700 is still king of the hill between Remington models.

  • im an avid shooter and been shooting since i was 11 years old and its hard for me to keep from blinking when the rifle fires i think it just depends on the person, i agree with following threw and keepin your eye on the target but its hard not to blink

  • Especially with higher caliber rifles.

Flinching is an INVOLUNTARY REFLEX to protect the eyes. The rifle should surprise you everytime you squeeze. It should be that slow a trigger pull.

    Blinking is natural.

  • agreed man i test meself all the time with my .44 mag revolver, i get someone to load in a random 2 or 3 without me looking and man its hilarious how much someone flinches when u hit that blank haha

  • 7mm rem mag ur mistake its ok ur just a rookie. no such thinf as 7mm win mag.

  • DatxFlipxBoixRon was refering to the 7mm Winchester Short mag. Stay in school bobf3360 (ROOKIE) He just forgot to type the word Short. Just to clear things up bobfe360, YOU are refering to the 7mm Remington magnum and not the 7mm Remington ULTRA magnum or the 7mm Remington SHORT ACTION ULTRA magnum, right?. (Please read a book)

  • i said 7mm rem mag didn't i. not 7mm rum or 7mm saum. in ur face queer.

  • My mistake sorry.

  • i went to far with the queer part. theres not to many people out there to talk about guns with so when u do find someone that knows what there talking about u get excited

  • why are u pulling the bolt back so hard? lol. in a hurry?

  • maybe he just loves the bolt action. lol

  • Try not to flinch and you will have better groups

  • your bolt seems to lock in very smooth and the 710 is known for its tightness in locking the bolt, how did you get yours to lock up so easily???

  • all are loose as hell just gotta know how to slide it.shoot enough with it and u will learn

  • loose? i dont think so mine is hard as hell, i had no problem fire my buddys .30-06 but my 710 it seems like i have to force it

  • loose? i dont think so mine is hard as hell, i had no problem fire my buddys .30-06 but my 710 it seems like i have to force it

  • naaa just gotta feel for it dont force it u will feel where the sweet spot is once u find it u will have no problem

  • The "sweet spot" is pushing the bolt straight forward. For some reason if there is any side-to-side pressure on the 710s, the bolt wants to be hard to push.

  • flinch

  • Where? All I see is recoil. Way smooth bolt, mine is sticky as shit. Love the gun, though.

  • My dad has it 4 hunting his eyes close bfore or during the shot

  • My 30/06 was so sticky I broke the freakn handle off it..Had to get it brazed back on..I think it works better then ever now.

  • Theres no need to try be all fast on the bolt when your not firing rapidly. All your doing is wearing and tearing your bolt and inners, quite frankly i agree with pranksta

  • Where to start, smashed the rifle down on its rest, will nock scope off. Wearing GLOVES!! No trigger controll, not sufficient grip, Snatched the trigger something terrable, looked like he was going to cry after every shot. Rough as fuck with the bolt, changed position after every shot aswell. Plus his kit was crap

  • uh let him have some fun? no need to be pro to have fun.

  • u should get rid of that rifle and get the new version model 770 its the new upgraded one just got rid of my 710 for the 770 same scope but better built smoother bolt and more durable clip assembly looks a lot better to and shoots well!!!!

  • two ruf wif the bolt = shit cunt

  • How about you learn to spell, and then possibly learn to grammar correctly.

  • its called short hand ,,you dik. get a life and a brain. suk a dik

  • Real mature. It's called proper english, you learn it at school. I can type a full sentence quicker then you can type your "short hand" Rubbish.

  • nice rifle. good choice. i love remington tacticals

  • its not a tactical

  • a guy having fun. great video.

  • exactly which concord do you live in?

  • Nice rifle i would like to ask can a Remington 710 be fitted with a sling after you but it?

  • Remington 710's have swivel studs at the front and on the butt

  • i have this gun but im upgrading to an ar-30

  • its not plastic its synthetic only a dumbass would call it plastic also synthetic is better than wood , it resist the elements better

  • plastic is synthetic, but synthetic isnt only plastic. its a vague term.

  • how about composit

  • huh

  • hey,at least he's out there shooting! not jerking off to a video game.give him a break.you have to start somewhere.

  • I love the fact that as soon as someone posts a video about guns, instantly you get a load of jerks trying to boast their 'arms ego' by making stupid comments about other peoples gun posture etc. Usually its the chicken wing comment, and the funniest thing is, most people dont actually know why you are supposed to keep your trigger arm down.

  • "the funniest thing is, most people dont actually know why you are supposed to keep your trigger arm down."

    Then brighten our minds!

  • I'd be happy to; the reason we are taught to keep our Trigger arm flush to our body, is because when you are entering a room in a FIBUA situation etc, you need to keep a low profile so you dont bump your elbow against a door frame, or, more importantly your other squad members. As far as target shooting goes, the position of your trigger arm makes no difference to shooting etiquette. Besides letting people on the internet moan about your posture :)

  • Hey Dim Sum! 1st of all, nice vid. Let me guess, you must be shooting 30.06? U did better than many newbies, at least better than me when I first shot a high-power rifle, LOL :) If you are up for a new rifle, try Savage, the last time I zeroed it, unfortunately, it was at 88yrds not 100yrds, I was able to put 5 shots in a penny. I will try to get a pic when I get my rifle back from a stock maker :)

  • Hey Bro, If you like what you're shooting and it WORKS for you then roll with it! Don't let these knuckle heads talk $ht. Cuz I could pick up any rifle with the right ammo and out shooot any one of these fools. People just like to talk smack! Keep shooting man!

  • Shut up you stupid 'Gangsta', bet you've never fired a gun in your life.

  • hey thanks for stopping by...yeah I'm aware that the 700's are a lot better. It's just they are a bit out of my budget, but anyhow I ain't complaining about my plastic 710 I just need a job first.

  • 710 was my first high powered rifle(still is my only high powered rifle) I to want a 700, Orlando818 is just an idiot.

  • bleuxcheese

I find that hard to believe; at what range? I doubt you would be able to tell what MOA your rifle is holding after 5-10 rounds...

Those of you in the market for a new budget rifle from Remington would be better off with a 700 SPS or older ADL. The 710 is not built to the same standard as Remington's other bolt guns had it has a lot of plastic.

  • you guys are hilarious, i get my 710 to get one hole groups with the right ammo.

  • Dude,

Be nice with the bolt action !

    This isnt video game !

  • dude your flinch is disguntigly bad.

  • RenderMan: STAY AWAY FROM THE 710! You'd be better off beating a deer to death that shooting it. Look for a used 700.

  • Have one it and love it. No problems other than the limited Bushnell scope. I upgraded that right off the bat. The .270 is hell on deer. I picked the rifle because it was short like a compact.

  • How do you like that rifle? I'm craving a 700 CDL in 06 real bad, but the 710 pricetag looks pretty good too.

  • Dude! I have that rifle too! Kicks like a mule. I added a bi-pod onto it too.
