@josehuerta73 Remove your head unit, Find your remote wire (usually a blue wire with a white stripe, some will say "remote" on it.) Splice the wire and hook up the remote wire. Then route the wire to the back and hook it up to your amp.
how about hooking up you line out speaker wires to a spliced rca wire to plug into your amp. i'm trying to do that now but i keep getting a loud bass sound from my subs. in the rca we have a wire in the middle of just 1 rca jack which is +. the outer wire is -. i hooked up my output (r) side spk wire from + to + on the rca and spk wire - to - on the rca which covers 1 rca input to the amp. my prob. is where do i get the 2nd rca input from. should i try (L) side spk wire to cover the 2nd rca.
Do u have to hook up a remote wire any where's. Coming from the amp to any where . I have the same convter. And having troubles. Also wooking up the pep boys converter does it still give ur amp and subs the power they should have
@VDUBnJEEP Your remote wire from your amp should be hooked up to your head unit. You don't have to hook up a remote wire to the LOC. Make sure you have all your positives and negatives hooked up correctly. You will get the power that you want for your system, The sound quality may not be as good as hooking up your RCA's directly to your headunit
Not sure, bought it at Pepboys. Most line out converters look like this though. I'm installing subs in my volvo now and I'm using a installedge Line output converter. Same concept
@TheHemlen You can ground two wires together but it is not recommended. You may hear an interference come through your sub-woofer. If you hear a distorted sound or winding noise you should chose another ground point for the line out converter. Make sure you have good bare metal to metal contact.
@chikamala809 You have to take out your head unit to connect your remote wire. You will see a bunch of wires, usually the remote wire is blue, or blue with a white stripe and most of the time it will say remote/remote wire. Then you just strip that wire and attach the two together. Its pretty simple and its not to hard to find. Good luck!
@Mikelansing23 Since I wanted to keep my factory head unit, it does not have an RCA output that an amp needs. Most factory head units don't support RCA's. My system does bang very loud with the line output converter but I'm sure it would have better quality if I bought a new head unit that supported RCA output.
@phill0the0thrill Yes, I left my factory wires the way they were and added the additional speaker wire to them then routed the additional wire to the line out converter
Actually, yes. That is what you do.. That line out converter is only pulling 2-3 watts max so it would be fine as long as he has an upgraded stock system with about 20w x channel.
Wat do i connext my L.O.C. To in my 2001 audi a6?? It has a bose stereo and i.wana keep it .. Please and thank you

@sirsaulsanch but what if its a stock head unit
josehuerta73 1 month ago
@josehuerta73 That is where the line output converter comes in. In this video, I hooked up my amp to a stock head unit from 1984 using a LOC.
sirsaulsanch 1 week ago in playlist Uploaded videos
Why not just extend the wires on the LOC? Seems it would be a lot cleaner of an install

@sparkknocker Same concept. Either way your going to hook it up to your speakers.

which is beta a head unit with RCA preamp wire, or a LOC line out converter.............

@kingomar93 You would get better sound quality with a head unit that has RCA output rather then a LOC
