@RedIsLivingDead yeah man, this is a month old comment, but it's in Mustaine's book, also there are pictures floating around that show the original line up with James on the mic, the stand. he did play the guitar in a band called Phantom Lord, but he didn't get around to vocals until Leather Charm, that is when he focused on the vocals alone, he didn't get back to the guitar until Dave suggested he pick it back up for Metallica... So Mustaine wasn't necessarily his inspiration, but he helped it.

Megadeth actually played for the audience, Rob halford was too concerned about his silver flourescent plasticy robe, his motorbike, swaying side to side on top of this castle thing...
