My co-host and I interviewed Trace for our 'net radio/podcast show....Very very nice guy, very funny, and very humble and gracious to the fans. You don't meet too many personalities from popular TV Shows that are that grounded...very cool !
It is different, because CT is not being done with the rules and constraints TV broadcast were imposing on MST3K.
Plus, it seems more sporadically done than MST3K, as the movies they've ripped for CT so far mostly belong to public domain, and when they're doing live shows, they shouldn't have to worry about clearing the rights.
@im5150247 In MST they had to re-watch movies several times and when riffing off the scripts while holding up the bots and keeping their heads down. I've done this stuff and it ain't easy!
Maybe it's just me but the way he looks and his mannerisms in this video reminds me a lot of Brent Spiner, the guy who played Data on Sta Trek: The Next Generation
Whoever said Coleman Francis films were the worst wins a prize, cuz I could sit through Manos un-riffed, no problem, and I think everyone over-exaggerated how bad the movie was.
Manos was hilariously bad. Red Zone Cuba made me want to eat glass just to take my mind off the pain.
Entertainment Weekly gave the new MST3K box set an A-..so,how about if we emailed the magazine and ask them to do an interview/article on Cinematic Titanic???

So, what I don't understand is if Trace was that sick of MST how come he's s doin Titanic, it's not THAT different!!
im5150247 2 years ago
He could have been worn out back then and now have re-discovered his passion for it many years later.
Also doing the movie and moving to Sci-Fi caused a lot of frustrations and would have accelerated ones' burnout.

You could have point, personally, I'm glad he's STILL doin' something similar, he was my fav, especially his inpersonations.

@couchfort Holy Crap yes. That movie was terrible. You could compare it to Blood Waters of Dr. Z.
