  • This was my favourite Christian songs of the 1980s. Saw Sheila perform it live in 1984. If I remember right, the song was co-written by Graham Kendrick.

  • I met Sheila during this time during the Young Messiah tour, she was very nice.

  • What a real Talent! Our Inter-Varsity Group invited her to the University Of Hartford, where I helped her band set up in the 80s. I liked her unique performances and she is a real beauty, very gracious; a true Believer with a Big heart!!

  • where have all the christian soldiers gone?

hm, did i got everything out of these lyrics. it sound s like the where have all the flowers gone song

  • Sheila, keep singing this way

  • Always loved this song! There is a great live version from a CBN awards show of her doing this with band and orchestra and Phil Keaggy on guitar!

  • cool..never got to see 80's Shelia before =D

  • You don'tg know what you misses. "She was one of my faves.

  • To bad here isn't any video of Sheila Walsh singing Private Life on live :(

  • Hello :) I like listening to almost all kind of music as New Age and Christian music :) I have them both here at home :) Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Yanni, Enigma, Enya, Petra, Whiteheart, Greg X Volz, Sheila Walsh, Farrell&Farrell etc.. :)

  • Interesting to hear a different version to Cliff Richard's, although, as an ardent Cliff fan, I do prefer his :o)

  • I prefer the original.

    (Sheila Walsh)

  • I prefer the version of Cliff Richard, which you can find on his album "The Event", but Sheila's version is also very powerfull!

    Thanks for posting!

  • I love Sheila!! I saw her in concert back in 85, and I got to meet her. She is incredible! I think she gets better with age!

  • This is the Sheila Walsh that I love. She now sings Celtic style Christian music, and has written a few books. It's just not the same anymore.

  • We must be realistic: we're all getting older and Sheilah was still quite young when she performed this song live.

She's now 51 (born July 5, 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland), and as you know yourself, growing older means change, and that's only natural.

  • Wow, she's really good

  • Oh, thanks! I remember seeing her do this song at Nights of Joy in 1984. She blew up at the end. I mean, there was so much smoke from her performance. Watching this now I so regret that she's no longer making music.

  • Thanks for posting!

    Awesome!

    I wish that someone w

ould upload their stuff from Ms. Sheila's "Shadowlands"
