Show more, tell less, go slower. The move needs some work too; I don't personally do it (haven't performed in ages) but I know enough to know that this one, like much of Daniel's work, requires near perfect technique. I've never cared for the finish but if it has to be done that way it absolutely can not talk. That final move needs to be cleaner than a good classic pass, which is to say pristine. I really wish someone would find a way to get rid of that last move altogether.
As I said, I'm not a huge fan of the trick but I've messed around with the move a bit. I got better results using a perfect faro first to get some air between the cards. You can get a similar (though not quite as good) result by using the grip you do to begin a cascade flourish, but that will put a bridge in the cards which you may not want. Post another video once you've got it smoother.
@MillsApparatus Try a side steal for the last card. Can't do this for tall people. Rik Smits is 7' 6" ( use to play for the Pacers) and I couldn't do this for him lol.
Keep practicing.

Thanks! Your right about that move too; the technique needed to perform perfectly neeeds to be precise and clean.
