  • Too many notes! Just remove a few and it would be perfect! ;)

  • Danke, habe Link gesetzt

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Thanks god youtube exists. <3

  • What year was this video filmed ??

  • Just wondering, could this symphony have been an inspiration for Beethoven as in the finale of his own fifth?

  • @whneo97 Yes, Beethoven was strongly influenced by Mozart so it may be!

  • eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

  • Ist das schön!

  • @bekiof ja es ist

  • wow great performance

  • Certified Sonar Missile: Mozart Symphony 41 - Tate Class IGBM*

Woohoo! Yahoo! Yehey! Hurray! (hands & feet clapping...)

    *IGBM - Inter-Galactic Ballistic Missile

  • @Dogaradodia you are totally crazy

  • I love Mr. Tate's interpretation of this grandissimo muy linda mozart 41st symphony.

  • ngpi

  • mozart rocks!

  • Mozart took the third theme from this masterwork from his kyre, k.541. check it out and see if you can spot it.

  • Mozart achieved more than a human can be reasonably expected to achieve, but the greedy side of me wishes he lived as long as Haydn!

  • @saltyseaweed I can't agree more.. The same can be said of his piano concertos, no other concerto during that period sounds as Romantic as his 20th, 24th.

But then again, many other geniuses like Chopin (39), Mendelssohn (38), Scriabin (43), Schubert (31), etc died young.

  • @chopinandliszt don't forget his 27th =)!

  • @Lity10 True, to give a "trivial" example, the method of starting a piece with accompaniment, rather than a primary theme was introduced by Mozart, in many of his late works, such as the 27th piano concerto, 40th symphony. And this technique became a favourite of the Romantics, (ex. Mendelssohn's Violin concerto in E minor)

  • I'm doing the first and third movements for A-Level =S

Its an amazing piece... but GOD is it hard!! I just hope my exam goes well in June :S

Favourite part is 2:41 onwards :D

  • @SpearsProductions me too! im doing an practice essay now about the contrasting moods and stuff :P

good luck on the exam! :)

  • Ditto! There's just TOO much to write about.

  • the sad thing about this symphony is it shows what a bold direction mozart would have taken had he lived longer.

  • great conductor and music expression

  • Wow I like that 41th !!!

  • Certified Intergalactic!

  • I really like contemporary students studying classical, or be it renaissance composition. Kinda think it's charming that they would have any idea of their existence w/o tv or radio or whatever the hell extraneous crap is around now. If I here one more peice of shit garbage coming from any of them, I think I'll die and think I'll go to phillip glass heaven or whatever godawful peice of shit they think is music.

  • LOL

  • Ahh.... Gotta love the italians!!

  • My favorite Mozart symphony - and this coming from a Beethoven nut...

  • Thanks for uploading this.

Mr. Tate certainly appears to know what he is doing, A very subtle piece of music writing from Mozart. And if I may be so bold, Mr.Tate brings out the subtleties. Wonderful in writing and execution. Thanks to all for the privilege of listening to this.

  • immortal piece!

  • i love ;this version !!

  • Comment removed

  • Gyönyörű - wonderful !!!!

  • Great Version!!!

  • Certified intergalactic! Unequalled!

  • Got assigned this symphony as my set work for AS-level music, it's a much more beautiful piece than I expected and I've had it stuck in my head all day today.

  • Yeahh i got assigned it too!

We were given a score that didn't have any bar numbers on it - you'll never guess what our homework was that night... -_-

  • lmao

yeah, i have the exact same work, and also the exact same homework

  • Same here. Writing an essay on this right now. I have much more respect for Mozart after listening to it fully actually.

  • Haha. Same. It's a really good piece actually, some of the syllabus stuff can be a bit dicey- GCSE listening exams, anyone?- and there's alot that can be said about it, which is bad or good, depends :P I love Jeffrey Tate's facial expressions too! They're great!

  • I'm writing a bloody essay on it too now, who are all of you people lol

  • i'm doing a massive study on it for a-level. i've listened to it so many times. i'll hate it soon lol. amazing piece.

  • I did the same exam (I think) - Thursday?

How did you think it went?

  • It went better than I expected it might (I got horrifically low marks on practice papers) but I waffled on the Mozart and couldn't say much at all on musicals so I'm worried about the essay side.

copy and paste if you thought this vid was really good.

  • one of the most extraordinary symphonies ever composed by any musician, and with the excellent concuction of jeffrey tate

  • Almighty sound! The best 'Jupiter' on YouTube.

  • Dr. Jeffrey Tate, es un fenomeno me encanta como mueve las manos es el conductor nº 1 para mi por ahora

  • My favorite classical symphony. Mozart's magnum opus.

  • JUST PERFECT..who is the conductor??

  • Dr. Jeffrey Tate, MD

  • Their interpretation of this piece is absolutely perfect. I also love the balance between the different sections of the orchestra. Props to the conductor on an awesome job

  • I love the body language and facial expression from 4:57 to 5:18. It shows he's really got feeling of the music integrated into his conducting.

  • wagner borrow the harmony at 2:10 to 2:15

    mmmm wagner was the devil

  • excellent performance!

    Bravo!

  • 2:20 - > 2: 38 : Fricking amazing.

  • I second that. I always pump my fist and "conduct" in the car during this part.

  • Voila qui illustre bien la célèbre boutade de Pierre Monteux à propos de l'éroique de Beethoven, il disait "C'est facile, il suffit de trouver le ton" et bien voila le ton et l'esprit en plus. Évident. BRAVO MAESTRO.

  • I bought a box set of CDs (at an amazingly cheap price, from amazon) of this orchestra and conductor playing all 41 of Mozart's symphonies, and it is delightful. There are also ten symphonies that are speculated as being Mozart's but there is no concrete evidence, yet from the sound of it, they seem Mozartian to me! Either way, fantastic stuff, and the chamber sound, if an acquired taste, is faithful and crisp

  • great performance!!!

  • if there is a god he lived for a time in mozarts head...

  • Ahhh Mozart. Gotta love him.

  • excellent perfomance! just in the right tempo! my favourite Mozart sympony!
