So far I've read 119 pages of this and it is THE only book I've read because i enjoyed it and for once in my life I'm excited to sit down and read a book!! :O
hey I just read the book its fantastic. I lived in tottenham when I was a teenager and my first hifi was an amstrad tower system from curries turnpike lane in wood green south tottenham but i'm afraid to say it was repo'd after 6 months when my flat mate let the men in to our flat in carlingford rd but it was the best system i ever had to this day including the micro cd player i got a couple of years later so kudo's to amstrad and i'm a bigger fan of lord sugar than i ever was of thfc! cheers!
I've just finished reading this book and found it difficult to put down. Inspiring, touching, funny and revealing in turn, you can hear Lord Sugar speaking these words as you read. His innate ability to cut to the root of a problem and find solutions is something of which other businesses should take careful note. Also, his no nonsense approach to life, people and situations is very refreshing. I look forward to reading the next instalment of this much misunderstood, great character's life.
Hello Lord Sugar. I have read your book.an idea for the real estate business that I don't want any royalties for. Just want proceeds for Great Ormond St Hospital. Michael :-)
Good read.. The Chapters leading up to the football era were great, I then felt I was in the turmoil and strife, it was a little bit boring really. I suppose if you were a Spurs supporter, then it was great, if not.. Yuk Yuk
But good book, good read and enjoyed it.
It is now at my local library donated for someone else to enjoy..
I am on the 3rd chapter. Its so funny. Some of the stuff you have got away with and how enterprising you were at such a young age too just makes me giigle whe I read about them.
It just goes to show you surely are a Special Individual Lord Sugar.
No one has ever inspired me to work harder and smarter before. I look forward to reading the next few chapters (when I get time of from being a mom a cook, a taxi driver, a business owner oh...and a wife!)
Just finished reading this and defo recommend. I love the straight forward talking! Quite a few business tips jumbled in with football stories. Quite an eye opener and lots of variety from Apprentice to house of lords :)
I have just finished the book and it's a great read, helped by Alan Sugar writing in his inimitable straight-talking style. Lots of interesting stuff, including for those of us in our fifties who remember the hi-fi boom of the early/mid seventies. Highly recommended!
I'm intrigued. I see a michievous glint in the eyes. I want to know more about this geezer! He's a self made man with an obviously driven personality and what appears to be a very witty sense of humour. Has The Media done a hatchet job on him all these years and we've all been sucked in? This is a book I think we all need to read....
