The instrumental part of the song makes me think of Soilwork. Liiva's vocals are not even close to the level of intensity this song has. No wonder they took on Angela instead. This song requires a shitload of Phil Anselmo to make it awesome.

This is their best album, and was the album that got me into them. Their new(er) music is alright, but it'll never compare to the raw brutality of this album. I remember being blown away by this album and loving it. I don't by any means think they're the greatest band, but this is their best album, in my opinion. They act too much like conceited rock stars now, and they can act how they want, but it's turned me off from them.

agreed, I also prefer how they sounded on the first two albums, I like the lower pitched sound of Johan even the guitars were in B back then, now they're in C.
Liva to me was more of thrashy type of vocalist. I don't think it really fit with some of the heavy riffs that Michael and Chris played. Angelas voice has that heavy death metal feel to it more than Liva's and it fits much better. I do however still like old AE. Transmigration Macabre, Diva Satanica, Pilgrim, and so many others are still among my top favs in the AE discography of awesome songs.

Amazing song! The end is so good!! For me, Arch Enemy has always been excellent and always will! I have a preference for the new Arch Enemy with Angela but I also love the album with Johan! I don't know when we will stop to see comments that criticize one of the two singers! The guitars, the bass and the drum still the same and still doing fuckin' good music!
To be factual, the first 3 albums were Johan Liiva. And he was actually kicked from the band because he sucked live, and they had to remove him after he was pissed and broke a guy's nose with the microphone when throwing into the crowd; I should know. I have the guy's blood on my Offical Arch Enemy shirt! These guys were much more brutal with MUCH better solos in these times, because the brutality was at a deep level. Not even god himself could believe his creation's sucessfulness!

Amazing song! The end is so good!! For me, Arch Enemy has always been excellent and always will! I have a preference for the new Arch Enemy with Angela but I also love the album with Johan! I don't know when we will stop to see comments that criticize one of the two singers! The guitars, the bass and the drum still the same and still doing fuckin' good music!
I hope that some people think like me!

To be factual, the first 3 albums were Johan Liiva. And he was actually kicked from the band because he sucked live, and they had to remove him after he was pissed and broke a guy's nose with the microphone when throwing into the crowd; I should know. I have the guy's blood on my Offical Arch Enemy shirt! These guys were much more brutal with MUCH better solos in these times, because the brutality was at a deep level. Not even god himself could believe his creation's sucessfulness!

the new singer is angela gossow. they got rid of the old singer (johan liiva) because michael ammot (founder of arch enemy and the guitarist) said he didn't match the style they were going for, and told him to leave arch enemy. and i agree, it was a mistake, but if you wanna hear this guy singing more, he plays for a band called Hearse now :P

Im not sexist or anything, but as a guy, i would appreciate the band a lot more if the vocals were by a guy and not a woman...
She's good, but no woman can realy compare to a man's vocals, but she's the best that I know of.. ...
