adding stuff to the tank to cure rusting problims is gimicy... you'll always find your self rebuilding carbs as long as there is scaling in the tank. the only cure is to media blast, you can redneck style it by adding a cup of gravle and shaking the hell out of it for about 2 hours.... beg my pardon

@dirtTdude Yah if you uuse cream product. POR15 is rock solid and no flaking. If paint thinner does not effect it then gas has no chance.. Also electrolisis removes all the rust so there is no flaking for it's all gone.

Thanks for the videos, I just started this process today on the 350 Ody I am building for my daughter. Do you think the POR15 starter kit will be enough to do a 4.5 gallon tank?

@Rarerat Yes. It will just take lots of time. I am most confident it will be enough. Just lots of rolling around.

@Rarerat works great huh? Also with por15 on the outside of the tank. You need not to worry about spilling gas on it. I love this stuff.

@Rarerat Make sure you coat the outside of the tank with spray paint. POR15 does not like the UV from the sun. I sprat a topcoat when the posr15 is still tacky. This lets the top coat blend in with the por15. If you do it this way the top coat will hold up to gas.

yep thats it. Also this method does not take any metal off your tank. Acid will. Nothing is better than taking off rust. You get all the rust period. POR15 starter kit is only $20

so baking soda, water and the power source? im thinking of using muriatic acid for my tank but this method looks less messier and easier to set up.
