Religious art often potrays Mary in Roman classical poses or styles, the rest is mainly gothic medieval style that is not realistic and stylised. Its what sticks to present day, I doubt I would find anyone dressed in Roman robes in churches or Medieval styled. Religious art often potrays Mary in Roman classical poses or styles, the rest is mainly gothic medieval style that is not realistic and stylised. Are you assuming if a woman touches herself, it's because she wants YOU to touch her? A person can enjoy touching themselves. It doesn't mean they want assistance.
