  • shit. the petty officer I spoke with today is having me take it in 35 minutes. 3 hours notice. nbd.>.>

  • The higher the ASVAB score the better your job is, don't take it lightly and say at "least I made it in". This is your future, 2012 USAF HUA!

  • I really don't see how people are failing considering you have to have a GED or a high school degree to get into the military in the first place. Most questions are middle school leveled.

  • Navy requires an ASVAB score of a 35, however the wont let you in unless you make a 50. Its getting a lot more difficult to get in now.

  • where did you get that book

  • are the questions the same when you retake it???

  • To the maker of this video; I would like to know what was your ASVAB score, that's if you took it.

  • the first time a took the test in 11th grade i made a 14... lol! im gona have to re take it because i want to join the army by the end of next year

  • @CI321 i just took it and got 40

  • @Pohnpeiann it's a hard test, I want in air force and I made a 45, I needed a 50...

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld nah I actually just took it last night at the Medford Armory , i got a 64

  • @Pohnpeiann lol you're probably smart, I'm retaking it thursday..

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld dont do the computer one, the paper pencil one is much better. eat a meal and go to sleep , then wake up and eat a big breakfast because chances are there will be a wait to take the test. i went to the recruitment office at 3 after eating and didnt end up taking the test until about 7 so i was hungry by the time it started.

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld I also have to retake it :/ in 30 days

  • @16sidsid what'd you get on it?

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld heres a tip about the sections -> Arithmetic Reasoning is 36 minutes for 30 questions. it involves tallying umbers , rates , percents , ratios , proportions , averages , and unit conversions. Mathematics Knowledge is 24 m for 25 questions , they are more straightfoward than AR and involve a wide range of concepts from arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Word Knowledge is 11m for 35 questions , but this is a really easy section. its pretty much all vocabulary.

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld paragraph comprehension is 13m for 15 questions , but it involves long passages. so for this you want to read the question and answer first then scan the passage for the answer. dont waste time reading the whole thing , the ASVAB on the computer judges score based on speed as well. General Science covers health, nutrition, biology, geology, meteorology, astronomy, elementary physics, and chemistry. Life Earth and Physical science.

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld Automotive Information was the one i struggled with , just study how mechanics work and cars and youll be good. its mostly about how engines work. shop information is pretty much all tools , and usually auto and shop are one section. mechanical comprehension is easy if you have a good grasp of applied physics and mechanical advantages. study newtons laws, they were in there for me. electronics information has a lot of diagrams about batteries , and making shortcuts.

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld i also struggled there. study how watts work , volts , converting voltages , ohms laws , and youll be fine.assembling objects is really just a puzzle , figure out how the pieces go together. i noticed people tried drawing the figure on scratch paper , but that takes too long. look at all the boxes for the wrong ones , and the only one with a correct configuration will be right. i scored 100% there , its not difficult at all

  • @TheMrJinglesWorld i know you told me you took it once, but i hope these tips will help you.

  • Does any body now what you have to make to get in the air force

  • @XpaintballerX48 right now they are looking for a score of 50 or above

  • @AnglofDoom Holy dang so im gunna have to atudy my ass off thanks

  • @XpaintballerX48 lol yea but it is really hard to get into the AF right now cuz they are cutting people so even if you do get a 50 dont expect to get in they can say no, and if you do end up getting in they can make you wait up to a year or even 2... it sux i know lol

  • @AnglofDoom Damn thanks

  • I'm only curious what the Assembling objects part determine about a possible recruit? I really good at em.

  • if want it really bad you either join infantry and see shit you cant tell your parents or get off your ass and pay a fuckin tutor to help you. A kid I know took it failed it first time than got a 79 and now is in his 3rd year in the AF

  • @123nypd ...what do you have to score to get into infantry?

  • aced this shit

  • i smoke to much weed to take the time to study for that shit im happy im outta school :)

  • are u suppose to know everything on the asvab or just math?

  • Ive been working at the math section for a while, i had bad teachers so i never learned half the stuff in school and so i can figure out the so called "easy equations" and im am so mad i want in the army so bad but i feel stupid, i have this tendency to over think the problems and overlook the clear answer in front of me i retest the asvab next week and i dnt feel ready but my recruiter says i am but when i took a retest of the practice exam my score was 2 pts lower...

  • Crazy4sian is a freaking Troll. He posts the same thing on most of these videos!

    Go away.

  • where did you get the book.??..pls reply to my comment..

  • do have any tips in order to pass.

  • so what are the answers to your questions in your description?

  • Easy as fuck. If you don't score a 90 or above, you're an idiot.

  • anyone knows what is the score for marine infantry??

  • @elnegry2008 4.

  • @elnegry2008 Its 75 or 80 its high up there I over heard a marine talking with a recruit about it 2 days ago when I took mine It was hard as fuck for me I'm probably going to have to retake no biggy as long as I get there.

  • I got a 75 on my ASVAB test in high school and I'm pretty stupid so...

  • most 8th graders could prolly get 80+ so if you cant pass the asvab your a retard

  • First off, if you're going to call people retards. First spell probably correctly. Second please stfu, some people are bad test takers or not sheltered & privileged as you.

  • where can you get a practice test?

  • @guadaricanito military.com

  • All those years of sleeping in class are kicking me in the ass

  • @Dblecheezburger Your not the only one and I never paid close attention in school either. It sucks since I gotta study and review for what I don't know.

  • @Dblecheezburger I know what mean

I cant even do Math n English

  • hey and she hot too :D i wish my teachers were as beautiful as she.

  • oh crap im going to do this test in a week and its been ages since highschool, my university knowledge doesnt really apply to any of the asvab subjects, i was in foreign affairs, this SUCKSSS. I got a 71 in the practice test but i have the feeling im gonna suck at the real one...

Ima buy a book but one week to get ready sucks

  • this thing is getting on my nerves!! this is my last chance or else its the long wait. man i didn't go outside for 2weeks because i've been in the book soo much. i'm just praying that all that effort pays off:)

  • Some of that stuff isn't on the test. I went to my local library and they had an ASVAB book that I used. It helped a lot!

  • I want to go into some sort of medical career in the army.... idk what to study. ay advice?

  • the only thing i have in my mind now, is how to get high scores on mechanical....

  • can you get me some advise to study the asvab???

  • I took the pre test and didnt do to well, my recruiter told me to study for a week and come back. I had the same problem... the math is killing me.. I did good on all the other subjects except the math. I got a ASVAB book, but its still hard because I cant seem to study what I don't know. What happends if I come back and still fail the math portion? I want to go Infantry, and I have been told you dont need to score high on the math in the ASVAB for Infantry as your MOS.

  • I'm afraid to take ASVAB advice from someone that spelled prepared "prepaired". Just saying.

  • @LindsKStrong lol

  • what is the electronic and mechanical part like? i need to study for that i got all the general knowlage under my belt

  • @papasmurf530 Get an ASVAB study guide. I'm using one made by REA that is a pretty thick book and a CD-Rom with example tests. The mechanical is sort of like simple physics and tool knowledge (it is simple but with throw you for a loop). Electrical is having a knowledge of what the symbols would like like in a drawing. There are trick questions such as if you don't know what a diode is you will miss it. The study guide goes over all of this info and you will gain enough knowledge to do well.

  • after watched this video,i ordered this book from amazon.com to prepare my ASVAB test.

DAKSOUM LE STATOIS BURKINABE A LOS ANGELES.

  • the math is my worst section

  • @saskekun101 *sigh* Mine too :(

  • @saskekun101 it kinda alright just study it and that it

    ur kinda better then me

Science, English and math is my weakness

    I having trouble with it

know any good online classes or tutor???

  • @luzanillajr tutor vista it is a really good online tutor but good price

too and works on all subjects

  • Does anyone know what are the best books for studying the ASVAB test? Plz help!!

  • @BiancaReyes1107 The one that I am using to study is called, "Master The ASVAB."

You can find it on Amazon for about 18 bucks. It has 5 different practice tests in it, so it's not a bad buy at all lol. Hope I helped.

  • a good tip on word knowledge is to learn prefixes and suffixes!

  • You need to spend months studying for this test if you want to do well on it.

  • CAT-ASVAB test is pretty interesting, I must say that I haven't been in school in the last least 3-4 years, and with the economy going to shit like it is right now, I had to make a decision: MILITARY LIFE. I always wanted to be part of a good team, but unfortunately, Mexican government is WAY corrupt, I moved to the U.S.

So 2 days ago took my ASVAB test and scored 65, not bad for the first time. Spent the las 2 weeks studying non-stop and I pretty much qualify for any job in any branch.

  • @rtamayo08 Are you going to join the service? Which branch. If you really score a 65...WOW! Good for you, more power to you, I myself haven't been in school 3-4 years. Where did you take your asvab test at?? Any advice on how to get a higher score on the asvab. Last time I took asvab test I had shitty scores like 9? 14? 21? OH the economy is shit and shitty-er.

  • @stage51manager I'm going in the ARMY. and thanks man, 65 sounds pretty good and it actually is, but when I got my results this guy next to me had a 95, a freaking 18 year old kid, good for him too, but i was just like: I SUCK ! oh and I studied for about 2-3 weeks.

  • @rtamayo08 My grandpa was in Army, why not??? ummm... Air force? Too hard....Anyways where did you go to take the asvab the recruiting base? Good luck in the Army your going to work full time with pension and benefits, thanks for the advice let me know any info on getting a higher score on avsab test.

  • THUG LIFE!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know why they do that. They put the hardest questions in the practice tests, then you end up studying something that won't even be on the test. It was so easy. I swear, I got in there and left without anyone leaving before me. And I was the last one to arrive. I got an 82 which is pretty much a hundred because I qualify for every job.

  • Listen up guys,

This is one of the EASIEST tests you could possibly ever take.

There are multiple internet practice tests which are much longer and harder than the real thing, and you don't have to waste any money on other materials or anything.

I took this test early this year: Completed it in 15-20 mins and got an overall score of 94 - Really really easy.

Does help to be a college grad though.

  • im taking asvab on july 20 and i got these book asvab 21st edition arco. some say some of the question in asvab book came out in the actual exam and dont have a fuckin clue! is this true somebody tell me

  • when u was going in are if you are in nowdid you going in single or not and did or do you have kids cause im a working man in nyc and my wife is going in so i see alot of mom that stay home waiting for there man but no video of men talking about how its going and there wife out there what the life like can anyone help

  • The ASVAB is to find your place in education, the higher you score the more options you have for your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). Its so your not just goin to go overseas and fight, If you want to be a Journalist, Graphic Organizer, or even a Metrology Technician, the ASVAB will help. Its kind of like the ACT, but a little easier,

And there will be a guarentee if you pass the training for your MOS,

  • thanks for the video, was a good video, this makes me study more and more and by the way i would like to know where I can get help to solve the arithmetic reasoning because they just give you about a min per question and a few seconds more.. that its not fear.

  • If you tell me what part of it is hard for you I can make a video and show the easist way to do that/ those types of problems. I'm a math geek :) Science... well thats another story.

  • @F4ll1nAngel i wish i was a math geek. i'm the opposite of you. science/english are my thing. math? oooh not so much.

  • do they allow calculators

  • @tetrafin917 No.

  • a girl, no wonder

  • im goin to take my asvabs tomorrow for the USAF...wish me luck...im getting in on a waiver so i have to score high enough to be able to be approved for whatever jobs are "available"...so i better do damn good.....HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR ME...peace

    ~MDZ of RedZonE

  • i took it today and scored a 61. people say its good but i really wanna retake and score a 75 or higher :(

  • i dont have to study the other parts of the asvab if i dont want to, right?. I mean i just want to get enlisted in the marines, which means i only have to study arithmetic reasoning, math knowledge , word knowledge and paragraph comprehension, right? i just wanna be sure...

  • on arithmetic reasoning subtest is rarely i encounter with questions like Alice leaves her house, driving east at 45mph. Thirty minutes later, her husband dave notices she forgot her cell phone and sets off after her. how fast must dave travel in order to catch up with alice 3 hours after he leaves? because is usaly takes me 5 minutes to answer these type of questions

  • damit i took the practice today and scored 43 --.-- gonna study study study for the real thing next week

  • what are the subtests i need to study.. i mean the ones that determine if i can join the marines or not, because i dont wanna do the science part or mechanics..

  • ASVAB dont mean shit. I scored a 92 on the real test at the federal building, had a GT score of 111(qualified for special forces), in great shape ( run 4 miles a day) and went to join the navy and army. They both told me i wasnt garunteed a spot in the Q course and i should start with an MOS that had nothing to do with SF. FUCK THE MILITARY!! they need bodies, they dont give a fuck how smart you are.,

  • Asvab:

Causing manpower problems since it was founded.

  • good video, good video, and your not a bad catch by the way,,,,not at all.YUM!

  • lol this video made me wantr to study gah damn you queen lol jk

  • man i hated the asvab. i got a score of 32 (i did not study 'cause i dint even know i was having a test. and i dint know what the asvab was until the teachers were reading the intro. and that damn time limet for the subjects). and thats a load of crap, 'cause i know a hell of alot about the military. christ, i'm a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol, in the best squadron in Minnesota. doesn't that count for any thing?

  • Did any of you guys pass ? What was your score and what Job were you quilified for ?

  • really ha i scored an 80 on my asvab on my first try wasent so hars

  • I scored a 72 on the Navy Asvab and didn't study at all. By the way, you totally left out the NAVY in the intro to this video. Not cool.

  • @CrazyWampa I MADE A 50 WHICH IS MIN WITHOUT STUDYING YET THE DAMN TEST WAS EASY AS HELL I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED

  • @xtippyx033 It's been one year. Did you ever pass the asvab

  • @RCB504 good job, i take mine Nov. 2nd....any advice?

  • damn she hot

  • Hey Im going to Meps monday morning and I was wondering is the asvab the same amount of questions as the practice test or no?

  • @nflfeather 200 questions so yes.

  • were can i get an asvab book like the one in this vid

    ????

  • i got a 68 and had no study for it what so ever. i guess still being in high school helps a little but what ever. i ain't the smartest person either. many of my friends could easily score higher than I (well some could at least). learning disability or not, to get a 7 it terrible! i honestly believe a well trained orangatang could get a 32.

  • Anyone know any good pratice sites ?

  • i FAIL at math im pretty good at everything but math. i forgot everything about it when they kicked me out of school for a full calendar year. (a full year aint that some bullshit?)

  • Thank you!! I will do my best

  • i just took mine a month ago and i am a junior in high school and i got a 82 flat!!!! is that good or bad??? i just took it cuz i didnt had nothing else to do on that day...

  • @TheHEYstudios did you take the actual ASVAB or a practice. 82 is BA

  • The actual ASVAB

  • @TheHEYstudios 82 is goooood! 50 is the minimum.

  • @kourtluvsu actually the army gets you with a 36 thats the minimum for them

  • @christiannuno I meant for the navy.

  • i took my asvab a year ago twice and failed... the first tim ei got a 19... the second time i got a 20... now the second time i studied but apparently not god enough...i recently bought an asvab book and am going to give myself one more month to study...i have to get a 50 or higher my rec said to beable to go to fort campbells ged school...i just dont have 150 bucks to take a ged test here...i am a smart guy but...i am horrible at tests...they should make the paper longer in my opinion.

  • @bfrye1990 i got a 33

  • Ask if you can take the CAT ASVAB. And for the ASVAB practice book, make sure you get the Kaplin ASVAB study guide. It is better then the others.

  • I did rely bad on my practice ASVAB :( i felt rely dumb loll.............oh well I get to take it again my senior year if I join the Marines

  • how long does it take to complete the test on average?

  • math is my nightmare I suck at it so much I mean so much I hate doing crap with numbers im taking the asvab the 18th I passed the practice test by 3 points for the army since U need a 31 to pass had a 34 got some right by guessing I hope I pass I get real nervous come test time was like that in school would forget everything I studied some people told me there's no point to study cause the questions on the real test will be different well most of them from the book only study how 2 do math

  • Thanks for the video and information :)

Got a question though, are you enlisted already?

  • Does anyone know where i can buy books on Chemistry and Biology..Years 2008-2009? I seriously need to review for the general science part. I'm good at the mathematical knowledge, english, and some mechanical and electrical work but not science. So please someone tell me where i can purchase books with tons of info on Biology and Chemistry because thats what the general science test consist of.

  • @Dank951 Just try some library man or if not look online for Barrons books.

  • osamabindrinkin40s the answer is not there its monday since is 15% everyday starting tuesday with 2.3 kl.

  • I have the same book.

  • ya, i've been studying math a lot too, its my one downfall area! I'm trying for the Air force and my recruiter told me i'd need like a 65 min. and I scored a 56 when i tested with like almost no practice - so my friend told me to try to identify my weak areas of study, and really tackle each field 1 by 1 until I have a confident grasp of the material - and well, for me, that's mostly the math and arithmetic reasoning etc.. just so hard to remember all the formulas for stuff etc..

    gL to all !

  • Took the test today for the 4th time and got a 25. Last time I got a 7. Any advide?

  • @osamabindrinkin40s I know how that feel's hang in there man.. Im studying math like a S.O.B !!

  • you failed 3 times? Did you've to wait 6 months? I feel your pain my first asvab was scored incorrectly 2 times w/ wrong test version that's because I did the paper version. I'll be doing the computer version next time.. Google myenlistment asvab

  • The computer version is al better. They give you more time.

  • Yup, I read it in the Myenlistment asvab study guide, It explains the difference between the MET (paper version) and CAT (computerize version). The CAT gives more time to think and less questions while MET gives more questions and less time to think forcing one to rush the subject.

The math problem I did for you, there's no possibly way I could do it all step by step because I was given 7min to do 25 math comprehension questions. Would I get it right? Of course by guessing!

  • My reruiter said the paper version is easier so I decided to take that and got a 7. Took the asvab a couple days ago and got a 25. The fuckin Navy wants you to get a 50. Thier ain't no way I can get a 50. I mean would love to become a Navy Seal but getting a 50 is impossible for to get. I just got a bad learning disability.

  • The CAT is adaptive meaning it adepts to your knowledge it can be easier or harder. The only way to improve your AFQT is by studying hard! You're not doing yourself a favor by blaming it on your disability, it may sound harsh but if you really want to pass your next asvab then study hard!! You've already made improvements from your last score, you're capable of achieving 50 afqt just don't doubt yourself.. Check out the asvab study guide I told you about it's great and easy to learn!!

  • I already got an study asvab guide and its the one that my recruiter recommended me to get.

  • @osamabindrinkin40s I feel your pain bro.. all you will hear is study study STUDY... get help. anything will help out

  • I take the test tomorrow, so thank you for the recap. It helps!

  • Rudy is training for a race. On Monday he ran 2 km. On Tuesday he ran 15% farther than on Monday. If he increases his running distance by the same percentage each day, on which day will he first run more than 4 km?

    A.Wednesday

    B.Thursday

    C.Friday

    D.Saturday

  • Got an asvab math question for you guys. Need to show your work.

  • Ugggh, the ASVAB will kill me, when I retake it... dang....

  • Is there a way you can get a asvab test low score waiver? I think this test is bullshit.

  • no lol

maybe into the army , but they'll probably put you on the front lines

  • Well just just find me. I'm done living

  • amerikaner101 did that book work well for you?

  • i took the test last month but didn't score enough to pass it. the book i study didn't have the questions that i studied for so i was kinda bumped out about it haha. but it's all cool i'll try my luck next time though. asvab books can gives you alot of headache lol and the sample questions that's in your information thingy are identical to the book i studied from. my recruiter said that i don't have to study much of the mechanical parts just the main 4 of the subjects...

  • hey so if u dont score high enough, can u still take it again or u gotta wait months to b able to go and take it..

  • Comment removed

  • you cant take it untill you pass. well yea but theres is a limit. this is going to be my 3rd time taing it and if i fail i have to wait 6 months. and now i have to get an even higher score because they raised it. to a 50 they should at least let pple be able to take it again every month and give more time or something if its going to be like that.

  • Negative, no you cannot.

  • i don't know about you guys, but from what my recruiter said, i gotta wait another month to take it over again..1 month to be exact...no you don't have to wait 3 to 6 months to take it over cause they changed that...but they did raise the minumum score up though..50AFQT is now the minimum score which i find totally ridicullous..hahaha..and you can retake your asvab 3 times a year. if you don't pass the third time you have to wait another year to take it over...lol..well yeah..good luck you guys.

  • @pboijerry 1st time, fail, gotta wait a month, 2nd time, 3 months, next time 6 months, next time 3 years, thanks.

  • FUCK all the b car knowledge bullshit!

    i dono anithing about cars

  • if your not looking to be a macanich in the military then don't swaet that subtest besides it does little to no effect on your main AFQT score that will determine if you are able to enlist. if you just wanna be in the military and have another job in mind then you just need to study for both maths and englishes and also auto shop if you want that kind of job but other then that as long as you do good in the main 4 then your just about golden

  • im using asvab for dummies its the best way to study coz that huge asvab book its like some bullfuck!

i wouldent understand shit and forget about everithing and even get a headache from it

  • So Automotive, Science, and that other bull crap doesn't count. because none of that was on the practice test I took than when I went to take the real one. Science and Automotive, and Shyt like that was one their.

I thought we only need to know basic English, and Math

  • It really sucks that I suck at math. I know the general every day basics of math. Everything else.....might as well be rocket science to me. Every damn equation/problem can look similar. But having different steps that completely throw me off.....drives me crazy!!!!!

  • lol i feel you bro i just took the test last week and studyed really good and the test itself seemed soo fucking easy i was blasting though the questions like nothing but i ended up getting a bad grade and now have to wait a month to take it again. its soo gay we never going to use this no matter what branch you go into the test is good yes to help out on what job you want to pick but it needs to be changed to the stuff that we practice in everyday life. ill be happy once ill pass it

  • I think the test is fucking stupid. What is the test used for, getting a good job? How do we know if we are guarantee that we will get the job we want especially with the economy going to shit? It should be about us serving our country.

  • it is silly. The test is to find out where to place you in the military, and also, to filter out the people that are not up to the standards. It is important that we do have standards, only 1% of the U.S population is in our military, not everyone is cut out for this sort of life. If you are unble to pass the test, you can serve our country in other ways... merry xmas

  • @osamabindrinkin40s i agree with your statement the asvab is hard but you need to know something you have to be smart in order to join we dont want a stupid person in the military not knowing what he or she is doing wrong . We need to know how to do it and how were doing it . simple its called all directions of everything :D

  • i almost decided on the army, but i realized the chances of being deployed are higher, and the quality of life isnt as good as the air force so i changed my mind. my recruiter told me that he actually got paid more when he had to live in the same conditions as the army. im not sure why people pick the army to be honest. why did you pick it?

  • To fight, some people don't care about the benefits as much as others.

  • AIRBORNE

  • how long did you study everyday ?

  • Having a GED I have to get a 65 instead of 50 for the air force. I took the test a few days ago and got a 62. lol.... time to study for the next 30 days until the next try!

  • wow man that sucks. at least you got that high. accroding to what i took i bombed my test. i have to wait a month aswell. ill be able to take it on the 24 of december
