Good vid..I realized I can work those better than the magnetic so I'll try this instead...questions...how do you wrap at night? and how does it hold up over next couple of days? Thanks!
this video was inspirational. Im going to use this style when i get a lot of new growth& then im gonna let my hair grow naturally at the roots and cut the permed ends when my hair is long enough. thx, this is a great hair style.
Thanks so much for doing this video... I'm transitioning (3 months post relaxer).... I'm struggling. This video has helped alot ...thanks. What products did youuse in your hair?
I had made the decision to go from relaxed to natural and I was looking for some styles to try out. And this one was very helpful thank you so much! I have tried the protective styles such as twisting but it didnt really work for me since only have about an inch of new growth while the rest of my hair is still relaxed. I even tried plaits instead twists which worked better but still not very great. Again, thanks so much for this video.
@deedee7320 Yes girl! I definitely think it will work on relaxed hair...no matter thinning or thick! And remember there are different size flexi rods..so pick the best one u feel that suits your hair or the look you want. Try it and let me know how it turns out!
@Shadowmist4 Yes you can! It probably would dry a much faster w/ a hooded dryer, but you can let it air dry. U might be able to notice a slight difference between an air dry vs. hooded dryer, but the curls will still be there!
This was so helpful for me =]....I'm almost six months into the transition & I don't want to do the big chop, so this was very helpful. I've been looking for other things to do to it, thanks so much for posting this info!!!!!
I have a really good product for textured, curly, dry, itchy scalp. ITs called the hair therapy wrap! see me at youtube. I would love to have you try it for free! along with our brazilian hair masque! Its a cordless THERMAL HEAT WRAP turban style that heats in just 90 seconds in the microwave and stays hot up to 30 minutes. use it over and over again, only 20.00 all your followers will love it,,,email me, Michelle :)
I love this styel, your hair is beautiful!! I have thick hair as well, where did you get your flexirods from? I'v been trying to get some but can't find a lot for a good price...hope you or someone can help!

Is there a correlation between going natural and sticking a flower on the side of your head? EVERY natural style compilation on YouTubehas at least 4 flower in the head looka. It's cool, just waaay overdone.
how long have you been transitioning..i started my journey nov 09 and I too plan not to do the big chop..i have really long hair (half way done my back) and I find it hard to do the bc...currently, i have large cornrows...i plan to do the twist out and flexirod too..
this video makes me happy to see..how long have you been transitioning? just curious..i got my last relaxer in august...Ive been doing braid outs and roller sets....and right now...got extensions in..protective style to give my hair a break...i wanna try a rod set tho!!!!! Ive been wantin too..was thinkin i had to go somewhere to have someone do it..but rite now i prolly do..im in spain..n they dont have too many black hair care products other than weave and relaxers! from wat ive seen... hmmm
Glad u like it! With this I just used water and Blended Beauty - Straightening glaze. But you can actually use any setting lotion and it will work the same. Still transitioning, I've tried diff products, most of the time I use an all natural shampoo & conditioner (i switch it up) garnier fructis for a leave in conditioner and Organics Olive Oil hair polish for shine.
ok im transitioning because im tired of doing my hair and i want that natural look again...so i was wondering what do you do to your hair like on a daily basis? how often do you wash and condition your hair and what do you use? oh yea and any tips to speed up the process? oh and i refuse to do the big chop..i will wait
I usually wear a twist out most of the time. I was usually 1x a week, I think ill get into washin it more once Im completely natural. I was using only all natural products, but I'e been switchin it up lately. I recently tried Herbal Essence- Hello Hydration..really nice. LoL,no...no tips to speed up the process, just try 2 take good care of your hair..keep it mosturized, trim if your ends look super raggedy. Time will start to fly by & be4 u kno it..u'll hav a nice amount of beautiful new growth
you are a good sprt at dealing with those 2 textures,i had to cut mine off because of it tangling up.however you real look really cute with the natural hair that you have right now ....go ahead and do the big chop lol!! but seriously your hair is so cute
LoL, yeah..it can be annoying at times. And yessss, it does get tangled. LoL @ u tellin me to do the big chop...I will sometime this year! And thanks!
this video was great im officially starting my transition tomorrow i have about 1 inch new growth and the rest is relaxed so i have a long ways to go but im ready for it... i cant wait to try this style out.. hope you make more style videos:-)
I wish I remembered; that was my 1st & only time doing it so far. But, I think it was either Kera Care foam wrap lotion w/ water or lottabody wrap lotion.
