  • It has already been mentioned, but keep a sharp eye out for a short un-credited cameo by Michael Caine. He was one of the stars of the 60's Britsh film "Zulu".

  • @tonypendrey Fuck me i've never noticed that before! LMFAO

  • A

    TIGER!?

  • A TIGER?!?

  • "If you're playing football or anything, try and favor the other leg." XD

  • "Here theyll give me a fucking medal sir!!" hahahahaha

  • now at home theyd hang me, here theyll give me a fucking medal sir

  • FUUUUUUUCK I'll never get tired of Michaels facial expressions. He has to be my favorite member of the group (I LOVE THEM ALL), but Michael makes me laugh every god damned time.

"...a tiger. In Africa?" Michael-"humpfff hmmm mmm" *shakes head* *looks up and touches chest*.

  • John Cleese!!! (Bows)

  • "here they'll give me a fucking medal"

one of their best, laughed so hard. be it the show or the movies they're just a riot

its not an accident the chaps at python still crack us up to this day, its straight comedy platinum.

  • A tiger in africa???

  • Woke up just now ....one sock too many !!

  • Fucking furries.

  • @Miseritor yiffies hehehe

  • So, was the man's leg in the thicket?

  • 5:16 Michael Cane :D

  • I think that was Michael Caine @ 5:14-5:18.

  • He's fuckin shaving in the middle of a bloody and chaotic battlefield. LOL'D.

  • makes you proud to be British

  • For a superbly witty, good humoured look at the meaning of life try ' The reason driven life, what am I here on earth for?' by top author Robert M. Price. His thoughts are like gold dust. Also authors John W. Loftus, Dan Barker, Valerie Tarico, Victor J. Stenger on youtube

  • This sketch is a representation of what David Cameron and his staff were up to while London was rioting

  • I always thought it would have been much funnier if Chapman had actually poked the bloody stump with his pipe instead of almost doing it and THEN putting the pipe in his mouth, love it !!

  • The tiger suit guys were yiffing, weren't they?

  • nice touch at the start Glasgow to natal lol

  • cracks me up every time hahahaha

  • Graham Chapman was such a great straight man, he should have won an Oscar just for that sketch alone. 'Let's have a look at this ONE leg of your's then' LOL.

  • God told us to do it. We are completely mad. Is there a difference?

  • "Yes, during the night, old Perkins got his leg bitten sort of....off". Best line in the movie!

  • The British never had any luck with that whole 'global empire' have they?

  • @vidviewer401 "Never had any luck with it???" They only owned half the planet for a couple hundred years there. I'd say they had a fair run of success with that global empire thing.

  • @Cryket They didn't own half of any thing most of the time. Keep in mind America wasn't the only nation they lost control of. Let's see... I believe the Zulu's... India... Australia... Canada... to name a few. Of course Canada and Australia are commonwealth countries but that really doesn't count. Now it's just a tiny island somewhere off the coast of France.

By the way before this starts into a flame war, I was simply making a passing comment of this video. Don't take it too seriously.

  • @vidviewer401 just a tiny island somwhere of the coast of france? if only you knew...

  • @qwertyuiopm250 Only knew what? That it has a total area of only 243,610 km? That it's people are always in a state of drunk? That it rains all the time?

  • @vidviewer401 no, that europe is actually a island somewhere off the coast of the coast of britain...

  • @qwertyuiopm250 *facepalm* Whatever makes you sleep better at night.

  • @vidviewer401 I was simply making a passing comment of this video. Don't take it too seriously.

  • ....Woke just now, one sock too many.

  • Nine people was made out of old cereal packets and got their leg stolen XD

  • 4:33 yea fuck the 30 men that have died and many that are injured beacuse AN OFFICER HAS LOST A LEG!! TO A FUCKING TIGER.... IN AFRICA!!!!!

  • A TIGER IN AFRICA?!

  • @dsmall31 I know, right?

  • nasty wound you got there Potter.

  • Old, used cereal packets XD I love the Pythons with all my heart.

  • 7.39 genius and epic look on eric's face X)

  • Oh a leg, Well actually I think there is one in there!

  • 8 people ran out of tea watching this.

  • Keep an eye on Michael Palin (officer) when they discover the tiger...... At first he is holding a rapier but in the next shot he has a brush in his hand!^^

    Hahaha.....love this scene!

  • @15engelfuerpeter you see his pull down the bursh and ehar the sound of him drawing a sword :D

  • " ... one sock too many!" :D

  • Comment removed

  • genous felous horribilous

  • That costume is so fucking funny.

    8:37

  • im from glasgow , love it!!!

  • God, knowing that Graham was in fact a doctor, and that he simply adored bad taste, seeing him poke the wound with his pipe is utterly disgusting, ergo absolutely wonderful. :-)

  • Hilarious as always! God save the Pythons!

  • UK intelligence

  • If you're playing football or something, try and favor the other leg. ROFLMAO.

  • War in Afghanistan/Iraq is probably not so much different then this.

  • @Quex01 TIGERS??? In Afghanistan? I guess they probably have zoos there as well.

  • where is teh rabbit >:(

  • Here's something you may not know. The tiger was a cover up to conceal the truth. It was the killer rabbit who bit off that man's leg. Them killer rabbits don't fuck around.

  • @MessengerOfRandom

No, no, a killer rabbit wouldn't bite to wound. They're bleeding killers, the lot.

  • A tiger? In Africa?!?!

    :)

  • OMG! I've seen this film so many times and NEVER caught Micheal Caine's scene in it! LOL LOL LOL!

  • "How does it feel?"

    "Stings a bit!"

    PMSL

  • 8 people woke up with one sock too many.

  • Somehow a slight element of funniness was taken away from this sketch when i found out that there are NO TIGERS IN AFRICA... Rock the world Monty Python!!!

  • @cathartic555 Taken away? That's a big part of the joke :)

  • A TIGer in AFRICA?!???????!!

    LULZ

    Best python movie fosho!!!

  • Lol it's the blooper high lights from Zulu!

  • Cleese can say "shut up!" better than anyone in history.

  • @valcan321 Michael Palin is close, too. Like his 'shut up' in the Travel Agent sketch. LOL!

  • "I should think about 150 dead ,sir."

"Jolly good." LOL british humor rules humor

  • Actually the British army has a horrible history of mismanagement, as incredible as their navy has been.

  • lol british folk get ruined in real war haha

  • @BostonBruinsOWN Probably explains how they were able to conquer 1/3 of the planet :P

  • @shade270 more than just earth, they also took over your anus

  • @burgersforreal LMAO!! that was good!

  • this is so real, only that in reality the fieldmarshalls and generals in the rear take their drinks not in tents but in palaces!!

  • it could have been a lion

  • Fav Part: Zulus run away when they hear Tiger and British win. That is what they would do.

  • 4:30 the sgt sound just like Lionel Jefferes.

  • brilliant!

  • There's alot of this about, probably a virus LOL!

  • I'll organize a party Sir!

    hardly the time for that

  • Here, they'll give me a fucking medal sir.

  • Yeah, I just notice Michael Caine myself, just by the voice. I didn't read that others spotted him as well yet. He's not shown as being in the film on the IMDb but damn if that's not him. I used to have the PhotoNovel of this film that had 100% credits but I don't have that anymore, I don't think.

  • @retroflow44 it's him. It's part of the gag since his first starring role in a movie was an officer in the movie Zulu (about the same war depicted)

  • @HextorianBlackguard Oh, I know he was in Zulu; I saw it many years ago. I just never noticed he made a cameo here until about a month ago. I saw this in the theaters when new, had it on VHS, then DVD and never spotted him before until I recognized his voice. :)

  • Are they fur fags then, the 2 dressed up as tigers?

  • Awesome things in this video:

    1) this is largely how the british tend to act in war; for proof watch a video with a chinook pilot getting shot in the face

2)Graham Chapman who plays the medic, is actually a doctor.

    3) There are no tigers in africa.

  • "Yesss, yesyes, yes yes yes, yesyesyes. Well this is nothing to worry about"

  • Without waking him up?..

  • Glasgow

  • hahaha Michael Caine in a brief Cameo at 5:15

  • Probably referencing "Zulu" (1964)

  • Oh snap, thats Michael Caine @5:15

  • "I killed fifteen of those buggers! At home, they'd hang me! Here they'd give me a fucking medal, sir!" -Yep, that's the army for you. Isn't it grand...

  • A tiger!?

  • anyone who doesn't think this funny has no sense of humor.

  • WWEFalcon. Couldn't agree more !!!

  • "it doesnt matter!"

    "what?"

"it doesnt matter WHY theyre dressed as a tiger, have they got my leg!?"

  • "It's a multi-cellular creature with stripes and razor teeth about 11 foot long!" lol

The best part of the whole video is the end when he lowers his head and you see the tiger motioning to answer the question. HAHAHAHAHA!

  • I love Eric's face after he says "and we escaped by making this skin out of old used cereal packets"

  • Why do I think that someone cut off his leg?

  • @vef444 because he didnt want it anymore? <.<

  • It seems that perkins here has gotten his leg bitten sort of...off

    Well this is really nothing.

  • Michael Palin's creepy mustache makes him look like Manuel from Fawlty Towers.

  • awesome how he says "i mean at home they'd kill me, now here they give me a fucking medal ,sir"

  • Hello and welcome to the Middle Of The Film.

  • "NO were doing this for a bet" . . "god told us to do it" lmao wow i love monty python!

  • is this a spoof of zulu

  • hahaha "without waking him up?" brilliant!

  • I LOVE the part where eric and Micheal try to explain why they're in that costume, in an odd way, it kinda reminds me of a rare scene from Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining", where Wendy was climbing those stars and and she sees the 2 men in a room one in a tux and the other in a bear suit, i always imagines that Python scsene playing out in that "Shining" scene. If i had rescourses i need to make a live Youtube film, i'd try to combine the 2 scenes.

  • This deserves thrice the views.

  • Monty Python never ceases to amaze me.

  • glasgow lol.

  • mcnutty ur fat bastard american army wudnt last a day there

  • 5:24 was the best bit pats that guy and he comes apart.

  • "Ill organise a party"

"Well nows hardly the time for that!"

    "A search party sir"

"oh aye much better idea" ha ha ah

  • 'woke up just now .. one sock too many'

  • lol (glasgow)

  • Thats the guy from fawlty towers right!? :)

  • @Snorkelsson yes.

  • @Snorkelsson Yes, the great John Cleese!!!!

  • To tell the truth, we are COMPLETELY mad

  • "I mean I killed 15 of those buggers! Now at home they'd hang me! Here, they'll give me a f***ing medal!"

  • PSTC 1003 - Combat First Aid for Officers

  • "Been in the wars have you?" ROFL!

  • If you watch from 5:11 the man with the spear in his body talking to John Cleese is actually Michael Caine (who originally starred in the Zulu film)

  • lol, love monty python

  • 5:23 had me laughing so hard!

  • I like how Chapman pokes the bloody stump of Idle's leg with his pipe.

"It will just grow back again, will it?" OMG, that is funny.

  • Is that first caption really wrong? This might very well be Glasgow, from what I've heard that can be a pretty rough city at times...

  • Does anyone know where I can get one of those awesome black jackets they wear?

  • @Sardaukar360 I want one of them too!

  • we made this skin out of old used cereal packets

  • @mcnutty80 let me take a wild, crazy guess here. You're American.

  • @JanineRobin Not to worry. Some of us Americans know that the British fought bravely in the Anglo-Zulu War (Rorke's Drift comes to mind).

  • @mcnutty80 actually i think you'll find we won that war quite convincingly...

  • I killed fiffteen of those buggers sir

at home thay whould hang me

Here they give me a Fucking Medal LOL

  • love when her turns to look when his mirror is broken

  • 1st Zulu War 1879 (Glasgow) LMAO...... and im Glaswegian!

  • His tiger suit is possibly the funniest thing ever.

"Never mind why...have they got my leg?"

  • what a film i lol'd so hard...

  • If you kill someone back at home they would arrest you.. here they give you a rifle and show you what to do sir.. i killed 15 of those buggers.. back home they would hang me here they give me a Fucking! medal sir! *salutes*

  • "Any other problem I can reassure you about?" hahah so true

  • "the MO says we can stitch it back on if we can find it immediately."

"right, sir. i'll organize a party right away, sir."

"well it's hardly the time for that, is it sergeant?"

    "... a search party."

"OH OH OH, MUCH better idea."

    awesome.

  • "Oh leg! You're looking for a leg! I think we've got one of those now that you mention it..."

  • "Excuse me"

*dodges British Soldier and Zulu Warrior fighting*

  • I love how Eric Idle strokes his whiskers at 6:42 :D

  • stings a bit xD

hmmm, well it would, wouldn't it?

  • "God told us to do it."

    :D

  • wait are u guys saying there arent tigers in africa:O ( and not rommel's africa corps tigers )

  • For all the intended laughs at the posh classes and officers, one irony must be pointed out: John Cleese looks *damn* fine in that uniform. The bearing, voice, the 'stache and the chin... smexy.

  • @somercet1 The acting is top notch in this sketch. With some of the boys playing 3 different roles.

  • I guess the joke's on me.

For years and years I thought the "A tiger in Africa?" thing was mocking the upper class. Now I find out there actually aren't tigers in africa ....

  • tigers are asian

  • That is what I said. I don't understand your comment.

  • @rain0x01 There are no tigers in Africa?!?!?! My world is shaken.

  • @rain0x01 its probably a bit of both, i didnt know that there wern't tigers in Africa either

  • @rain0x01 VERY nice joke! & you asummed that the upper class hunted wildlife when realy they were playing lawn polo.

  • "What we doctors call- a tiger."

    "A TIGER?"

    "A TIGER!??!?! AAAAGHHH!!"

  • I love the way Eric is playing at least 3 different characters here. It just shows how versatile he is :)

"Tiger brand coffee is a real treat, even tigers prefer coffee to real meat."

  • i swear that's michael caine at 5:14 talking about all that killing being bloody good fun

  • Comment removed

  • YEAH! wow... I googled "Michael Caine meaning of life"... IMDB has an article that mentions the cameo.
