  • Tried this tutorial on fsx and failed everytime.

My glider keeps pitching down everytime I try to get into a thermal.

    I gave up.

It literally drove me to drink that dam tutorial.

  • Hey ysflightman

I have a question you can find yourself after taking off the rope when you post the release of another plane or is it automatic?

  • @Joricko14 You must manually release from the towship yourself using a pre-assigned button.

  • DG 808. Ahhhh lovely. However my first glider flight was in, not a k 13. A DG 500!

  • @MrCoolvidsonline Oh wow, my first flight was in a lowly SGS 2-33A. I'm envious, the most high-preformance glider I've flown on my own time was an IS-28 Lark.

  • @ysflightman Awsome. I still think the new Arcus is the best! But thats my opinion!

    THUMB THIS UP!

  • do you still have the amd athlon dual core 2.5ghz?

  • @knoxx123 No sorry, It is currently being used in a server computer of mine after I got an AMD 1090t.

  • Very nice. You got me interested in gliders, for the sim, I'll wait until you have a few more videos out, to start flying them, it really is pointless when you don't know what to do, or the airspeeds, etc,

    thanks for posting this

200 feet? That's 400 feet in an airplane, and you probably have only a few seconds to react if the engine quits on you at that point.

  • @FSX404 Actually, on my pre-solo, my instructor pulled the release nob at roughly 210 ft AGL. I turned around and was still very high. I had to slip and use full dive brakes and STILL over-shot the landing patch a little.

  • @ysflightman

Well, it would take a lot from me to start flying a thing that has no engine to begin with, LOL.

I think that pilots that begin their flight careers as glider pilots usually turn out to be better pilots for it.

I was in a glider once, didn't fly it, I was in the back seat that actually had two seats side by side. I think, but cant remember that you could take out one back seat, slide the other one to the middle and install a flight stick.
