  • Did his face get sun burned?

  • the best Brother Love episode I recall was the one where one of the Bushwackers used his mouth and ripped Brother Loves rose off his suite jacket, as Brother Love is screaming they throw some filthy tuna in his mouth then proceeded to roll up a bunch of it into his necktie and force feed him

  • Tully & Arn were much better as 4 Horsemen then they were as BrainBusters. There meat & potatos style was a bad fit in the cartoonish WWF at the time.

  • GoD, I hate Brother Love! Worst gimmick ever.

  • just watched top 50 wrestlers of all time dvd...whata buncha bs that arn wasnt on there and that flair was tied for 17...bs

  • Tully and Arn did look out of place in the WWF(E); and Tully was a huge crackhead at the time. Sadly, it ruined his career.

  • their run in the wwf was pretty short, but certainly added credibility to the wwf tag team scene which was pretty much a joke at the time.

  • @danteras23 Even if it was a joke then, it would still be taken more seriously then what it is now. As of this posting the ONLY tag-team in the company that I'm aware of is Santino "Bad Gimmick, Worse Finisher" Marella, and his partner Vladimir Kozlov.

  • IT'S A SHAME VINCE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH TULLY & ARN WHEN THEY ARRIVED ON THE SCENE,,,,THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE FEDERATION TO NEW TAG TEAM HEIGHTS....INSTEAD OF FUSTRATIONS BREAKING UP A TAG TEAM EVEN THE LEGION OF DOOM / ROAD WORRIORS FEARED....

  • Arn Andersen & Tully Blanchard really belong in WCW / NWA. Very few people actually remember them being in WWF/E. I had forgotten about their WWF stint, let alone them being champions.

  • @SurvivorPaul16 They were in WWF for a little over a year, which was relatively a long time then.

  • Why did his face get progessively redder as his character evolved? And why was it orange/red in the first place?

  • @bfnputz I think Brother Love had a real BAD sunburn; and he just went ahead and winged it with his face like that.

  • The Horsemen ride.

  • this was a disgrace to 2 great wreslters and to the horseman

  • @dare2727 how was it a discrace? they won the WWF tag titles didn't they?

  • @romans52345 being from Atlanta heart of jcw/nwa territory, the way they were handled was my biggest problem. Imho they were never a fit for the wwf at that time. Vince was a fan of muscle bound wrestlters and gimmick teams (i.e. rockers demolition, killer bees) and to have 2 good wrestlers with technical skills (and no real standout physical tools) was not wwf's thing. Also I think they won titles as a transition with no real intent to keep them relevant. The titles were a homage 2 them

  • @dare2727 How was it a disgraced? They won the titles and this was just a gig which many wrestlers participated in.

  • @ajsmommy725 imho i dont think the wwf at the time was a good fit. The brother love gig doesnt bother me. They lost the belts at the next event and the fell off (in wwf). Just dont like how they were handled. They were more of a transitional team (team to hold the belt so another team could win) than a team the wwf hand real plans for. Also loved them paired up with The Brain

  • Long live Double A

  • This was in Worcester, MA. The tag title switch occured earlier in the evening for Saturday Night's Main Event, which in July, 1989.

  • They look so out of place here...probably because they're dressed like wrestlers, not cartoon characters.

  • and probably because no one fucks with the four horsemen, regardless of what name you give them elsewhere. not to take anything from demolition... they held the belts for a long time for a reason.

  • double a doesnt do costumes.

  • why is his face so red?

  • because he is full of love..hence brother love

  • Holy crap... he's like a thousand times more red than I remember. O.O

  • I think this was right before Tully tested dirty for coke.

  • also weird to see tully hold up both hands with "5" fingers out instead of 4. i bet he had to make an effort to do that and not hold the horsemen sign.

  • Percy Pringle was Paul Bearer.

    Bruce Pritchard was Brother Love

Eric Embry was never in the WWF .

  • Eric Embry was a WCCW mainstay in the midcard.

  • you just cant have a 4 horsemen interview in the wwf circus. they never seemed to fit IMO.

  • I agree. Tully & Arn were much better in the NWA as Horsemen then in WWF as the Brainbusters.

  • The Brainbusters were the greatest technical tag team of ALL-TIME!

  • @nuktubian wrong.....Greatest tag team of all time!!! OK second behind LOD. But The Busters were definately my faves.

  • I wonder if they ever fought the Hard Foundation

  • yep, at summerslam. i think the harts won

  • Is there a vid about it on You Tube?

  • not that i've seen but they definitely fought SS 89, though it might have been a non title match

  • THey did fought at SS 89 non title and it was a great match I've seen it.

  • brain busters won

  • no the BB won.....

  • yes...summerslam 1989

  • 1989 was a big year for Bobby Heenan....the Brainbusters were the tag champs, having ended Demolition's record-setting 479 day reign as Tag Champions, and Rick Rude was also the Intercontinental champ at this time

  • don't forget colossal connection won the titles too

  • Colossal Connection won the titles in '89? I thought they didn't win 'em till the beginning of '90

  • They won it December 13, 1989 in Huntsville, Alabama.

  • Yeah,but it wasn't televised until December 30,1989.

  • You'd think that Vince would have at least let them have the titles until at least the 500th day though.

  • @miggy25 That record set by Demolition still stands today.

  • His face is completely red O.O

  • bruce pritchard

  • LOL, this video is exactly 3 min and 16 seconds...hmmm...3:16...

  • Arn & Tully left Jim Crockett Promotions because of the unstableness that was going on at the time. Sure enough, JCP eventually sold out to Ted Turner. Arn would return in December 1989 without Tully, who had failed a drug test in WWE. WCW decided not to hire Tully because of that.

  • I dont think arny anderson can be anymore of a redneck if he tried

  • I could never get used to this. I loved Anderson and Blanchard, but they looked really out of place in the WWF and out of the Horsemen

  • I liked them being in the WWF. Back then, it seemed like you were on a good drug to see flair and other horsemen in the WWF. That was unheard of at that time.

  • I did toom, but Flair was not in WWF at that time. Flair went to the WWF in 1991

  • You got to give Vince credit though. Instead of giving these guys outrageous gimmicks to coincide with his "sports entertainment" theme, he let these guys be Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard.

  • Yes and very rare of him!

  • That's because Vince couldn't pull the wool over our eyes by repackaging them as somebody else. After all,the 4 Horsemen were a notorious faction!

  • Toom?

  • Typo, smartass

  • Alright Calm down.

  • they were so great. i used to hate tully, though. couldn't stand him.

  • Tully was sneaky

  • 2 horsemen!

  • The Honorable Brother Love, former Spiritual Advisor and Manager to The Undertaker. Bring Him back please, Brother McMann.

  • OMG I can`t believe I Miss Brother LOve lol ..Arn and Tully wow...The Best is still sweet.... Horsemen 4Ever

  • They had the best finisher. Spiked Piledriver. Arn was pretty good on the mic.

  • Yeah, Bobby the Brain Heenan is at the prime of his career right here. Wrestling really had heart back then. Now it's just flash, folding chairs, and breaking tables.

  • I know things change over time or should I say evolve. BUT comparing that time frame to what wrestling is now is like comparing a beautiful girl to an ugly bulldagger. They are both supposed to be the same thing just the total opposites that don't resemble each other at all. These 3 minute clips are better than the entire programs that are on nowadays.

  • amen to that.

  • good promo by arn

  • brother love's voice sounds like paul bearer

  • ahh the good ole days saturday mornings

  • Tully Blanchard was the best, always in character. Hanging out with Brother Love like an old friend... so much fun

  • I LOVED those old WWF tag belts....Arn and Tully were wrestling gold

  • CLASSIC

  • Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, the Brain Busters-MONEY IN THE BANK! Great Team.

  • These two even today could outwrestle 95% of the TNA and WWE roster

  • what a fucking team...

  • Great team. Arn and Tully.

  • Talk about being over...

  • LOL u gotta love tully blanchard's "strut"

  • Bobby Heenan what a shister!

  • just my opinion but i think to 'newer' fans todays Cenas & Ortons are great wrestlers. Not to discredit them but i think most older wrestling fans can see the contrast and how much wrestlings magic and appeal has changed and thats why i no longer watch. Although he could draw, Ive never rated Hogan but i do think that Steamboat can wrestle.

  • For all the loser marks out there, stop using the term "worker". You're not a wrestler and you don't know what the fuck it means.

  • Tell us what does it mean you DA.

  • Congrats, you win moron of the year award.

  • Hey its Blubber Love

  • look at tully shake his head looks like thw arrior at 2:34

  • 2:34 = most emphatic nod in the history of the planet

  • double a should teach john cena how to cut a promo

  • and Orton how to wrestle.

  • Orton is a good wrestler asshole. Someone needs to teach you to stop acting like a little bitch.

  • listen to the heat from the fans, people dream of this today

  • You probably think Hogan is a good worker.

  • its still real to you dammit..thank you for saying what needed to be said....ed norton can play arn in the movie. boooo hoooooo

  • Hey bitch, do everybody a favor stop acting like you know what the term "worker" means. Hogan was a credible wrestler and a great draw. I love watching marks like you throw around the term "worker" as if you know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • I was watching wrestling before you were born have been to 800 live shows 80 plus PPVs have got the wreslting observer since 1988 and lived on the same street as George Hines Jackie Fulton to idiots like you. If you think Hogan was credible as a wrestler you probably think Ricky Steamboat can wrestle. By the way how many Japan tapes do you have smart ass? I have over 40 . If Jackie Fulton who is a 20 plus year pro with many years in Japan explains what a good worker I trust him DA.

  • He was/is. He made money thats the bottom line in wrestling. The more money you can draw the better the worker you are.

  • Work rate has nothing to do with drawing money. Take a guy like Dean Malenko he was a great in ring worker but as an singles wrestler in WCW never was a big draw. I see everyone who has left you a comment thinks you are an idiot like I do. I was watching and going to live events before you even born.

  • Really??? What year was that? Look, a great worker is an easy thing to spot. You see them at the end of the show. Meaning they are the money guys. Even Bobby Heenan agrees, a great worker is a guy that can draw money, period.

  • wow i agree we must be in the minority though tully kicks butt i agree about arn as well

  • brother love rules

  • Gotta Love Arn Anderson!!!

  • Always a good promo with Double A
