bit to much bass in the mids. but with some ajustments they are amasing

you get more bass then a bose 5.1

Nice system,jbl speakers do sound nice. should place the surround speakers behind the listening area. how does that sub sound? i have a vtf-1 from hsu.

I also tend to stick with JBL, i have four of the es80's and the es25c but I opted out for the sub, instead I went with a velodyne sub.

Hi, thats a nice setup!:) I've build up an 5.1 sorrund with ES serie, but I did not have ES front speaker. Last month i could buy the Jbl Es100, what is amaizing .I have a Marantz sr3001 Amp. Only what I only can say is that, the JBL ES series was one of my best choosen. It sounds very clear, and it has deep bass also. Thats a great serie.

well the marantz is a good amp I think Marantz is better then Denon but dont buy ES 100 with only 70 watt eatch channel, they need at least 120 Watt @ 8 ohm, the ES 80 has enough bass (better then one ES150P) you dont need ES100

another example

a good frend had the E100 (front) and E80(surround) and he says the e 80 are a lot easier to drive the woofers (has an 130 watt amp, Denon AVR 4306)

dont stare blind on the ES 100 and i know 4 x 10" woofers sounds better the pub then 4 x 6''
