  • She reminds me so much of my younger Sister. She even speaks like my Sister.

  • Hmmm what happened to my comment? lol

    @Kherudjhuti

    I haven't tried asking any Asian person besides the poster of the video, yes there is a China Town...but since Thailand is not in China, i didn't think it was appropriate to head over to China Town. Also, i thought that maybe the poster of the vid had a market that she's familiar with--in my city--where i may find EXACTLY what i need. Thanks for the link though, i have found one not too far from where i live :)

  • I think that cooking Thai food at home is EASY! :-D I just made a double recipe. (anybody need some extra kefir lime leaves?)

  • WHAT A GREAT VOICE YOU HAVE!!!

  • Try it with a tomato, added with the mushrooms and chicken. Just slice into 4 pieces. Also, a few drops of red chili oil make it special

  • Brilliant,have always loved this soup and its totally great on one of those cold wet miserable days when you come home and tuck into a big bowl of this soup Fantastic.

    I live in the UK in the County of Cornwall,we have a Thai resturant in the city of Truro called Chantek and they serve this soup and its superb.So having found this site I will be coming back for more and more and even more cooking lessons,Many Thanks.:))

  • can i replace the chicken with shrimp

  • @cool85ish Absolutely, but I've never seen this soup with shrimp before. Tom Yam Gung, however, is a soup usually made with shrimp that is often offered with Chicken instead. Let us know how it turns out.

  • One of my favorite soups! I learned how to make it in Koh Chang. Just wanted to add that you can also take the lemongrass and really beat the whole stalk so its quite stringy then tie it into a knot for some great flavor and makes a nice decoration!

  • I tried the recipe and it works!

    Thank you very much.

  • @MDIS That's awesome!

  • Thanks for the recipe. I'm going to make right now!

  • can you do it without the young coconut and just go with coconut milk?

  • @TheCookieMonkey Sure, as I said this is the special recipe. Usually you don't need young coconut for the regular Tom ka Gai. But if you don't want to add young coconut juice, you should add some chicken stock.
