the border control usually ask questions. California border from Oregon ask about fruit and my groceries has been searched several time..to protect us. Sure the charges were dropped but only becasue no evidence existed. If they would have found anything they would have made it stick. I work with a prison guard and she told me that if a prisoner refuses to vacate the cell when asked they immediately subdue the prisoner with any force necessary, I'm pretty sure the agents acted properly. A belligerent, hostile and uncooperative person involved in a traffic stop creates a safety issue for officers and agents and it makes it look like he's hiding something. I know they didn't act without provocation. Where is the video of the pastor being uncooperative? The first part of the video starts with the pastor asking what he's being arrested for. Officers and agents don't need probable cause to ask questions, they need it to search and or seize. The 'pastor' gave them reason to look for probable cause. Actually, what you were doing was the very definition of "resisting". You need to do what the officers tell you and then fight it in court. It sucks but that's what you need to do. Sure the charges were dropped but only becasue no evidence existed. If they would have found anything they would have made it stick. I work with a prison guard and she told me that if a prisoner refuses to vacate the cell when asked they immediately subdue the prisoner with any force necessary, I'm pretty sure the agents acted properly. Probable cause can look like a lot of different things, he's lucky they didn't find his stash!

A belligerent, hostile and uncooperative person involved in a traffic stop creates a safety issue for officers and agents and it makes it look like he's hiding something. I know they didn't act without provocation. Where is the video of the pastor being uncooperative? The first part of the video starts with the pastor asking what he's being arrested for. When he didnt obey they had every right to subdue him and acted in that fashion and with great restraint.

Officers and agents don't need probable cause to ask questions, they need it to search and or seize. The 'pastor' gave them reason to look for probable cause. In any case, the 'pastor' was in the wrong. Jesus didn't call a lawyer to defend Him. Jesus didn't resist answering question when falsely accused. However, refusing to answer the questions of someone who is carrying out the duties of a legal profession is viewed as uncooperative, hostile, passive aggressive and an act of concealment. The officers acted appropriately and to my mind showed a great deal of restraint. I would have subdued him, cuffed him and incarcerated him for the maximum allowed by law. You pull that crap with the state police and you're going to jail. And this from a pastor, shameful!!

Cops can absolutely search the passenger compartment without a warrant. You should know that that is something you agree to in exchange for the privilege of driving. Cops have access to the passenger compartment because if someone is drinking in a car they are a public danger. You do not have the right to deny access to the passenger compartment. They can not search the trunk without a warrant. If you're driving you should know that dumbass.

Either something that they observed that is illegal, or reasonable justification for a search without a warrant. They can't just open your door and start digging around, they can LOOK around from the outside for something in plain view, but not just up and search your car.

This is what happens when you're a complete dick to cops and federal agents. If you have nothing to hide let them search your car. This would have been solved a whole lot quicker and simpler. If they found nothing, which I'm assuming they wouldn't, they would have let you go with a lot less blood and the only thing that would have been wounded would be some of your silly pride. If you had absolutely nothing in your car to hide would you assume they were out to get you and resist them at every turn or would you prove to them that you had nothing to hide and be on your way?
