  • i'm shane warne! i'm shane warne!

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Typically we don't produce decent spinners in England... PCR Tuffnell, Croft, Giles, Monty-whichsideofthebatdoyouhold-Panesar, etc.

this highlights the quality of Swann... the selectors ignored him for 8 years because they were confused at the concept of the ball changing direction on the pitch but after years of research they found out that it's a good trick for taking wickets...

Giles stayed in the team because he could bat and field at cover point... and he bowled like Geoff Boycott batted.

  • @AerospaceEngineer90 Well said.

  • @AerospaceEngineer90

no offence but i do think that panesar is a good bowler, its just swanns an amazing bowler so he overtook him, you cannot judge somebody while they are still learning , surely .

  • @AerospaceEngineer90

In fairness for years english spinners were not allowed to flight the ball which is the real spinners weapon. The were ordered to spear it in at leg for a few overs to give the seamers a breather and if they took a wicket or two well and good.

  • Haha, the best thing about this video is the title =]

  • LOOOOOOL this guy is worse than hauritz

  • dont bag hauritz...hes not that bad

  • i was gonna type the same thing haha

  • eat your heart out shane warne... fuck off

  • Hahahahaha

  • about time he spins the ball.

  • LOL! had to laugh at the comments on the vid ...and the commentator says "eat your heart out Shane Warne!" haha ..i reckon that one slipped out of his hand btw lol

  • Anytime you see Jack Sweeney, persuade a batsman to cover his stumps which seems the perfect defensive delivery and then you hear a cry-of tears, you know that Josh Sawyer has just got ouit and walked round the field in a stress! :L

  • LOL good video top class ball

  • He was one of the best spin bowlers in the country, thats why he was in the team. Not that England actually had any good spinners though. I mean who you going to choose instead. Tubby Croft? an old Tuffers with no batting ability? Giles got in because he was the only option, could hold a bat without dropping it too often and was a decent fielder.

Mind you they could have picked Swann when he was younger from like 2000, i know i have the benefit of hindsight now but i always reckoned he was gd

  • Good vid.

    Ashley Giles 'King of Spin'.

  • Ashley Giles took the wicket of every Aussie batsman from 1 to 8 in that series.

I can't remember who it was but I remember prior to the 2005 series one Aussie ex player / pundit suggested that anyone who got is wicket taken by Ashley Giles should hang himself...

  • did giles retire from cricket???

  • Yep, retired at the end of 2006 due to a recurring hip injury

  • @blitzboy3001 and a recurring bout of sucking.

  • @blitzboy3001 Ohhh :(

  • @SimplyNoobGaming Not county cricket, just from the international level.

  • really really funny video, lmfao lol, well credit to giles for landing it in the rough and getting to bite, turn and timber , accurate delivery. credit to the fast bowlers for creating the rough as well the curator for creating a bowler friendly pitch

  • LOL great vid.

  • You don't know how to make your own material, nearly all of your videos were stolen off someone else in this website and you weren't even bothered to make a different title for those videos, and no-one is going to watch the same video twice.

This video is meant to be humorous, funny, you know when you go hahaha, yeah, thats we humans call funny. I'm not sure what you bio-degradeable object would call it. And stop trying to bring me down with you by rating my videos one star.

  • @blitzboy3001 i guess he is a dumb shit, because i have never seen giles spin the ball

  • Poor Marto! There wasn't even anything wrong with the shot! All those bad umpiring decisions plus the freak Giles ball, it really wasn't his tour :(

  • lol so much hate on giles.. funny tho

  • I dont really hate him, he was a good defensive bowler, but if you cant take wickets often then theres not much point. i was shocked when i found he had an average of 40.

  • how come he was in the side for such a looonnnnggggg time? he had shit average.. didnt take wickets.. couldnt really bat.. but i love him lol i based my bowling action on him.. somehow it looks so good..

  • i dont know why he was in the side for such a long time. maybe the selectors were sniffing strong solvents?

  • he was on the side for so long because he can bat and he can field, england just didnt need a rely good spin bowler as their pace was enough

  • England had no other option at the time while Fletcher was a keen advocate of people being able to fulfill multiple cricketing assets i.e. Fielding and Bowling, Bowling and Batting, Batting and Fielding or all three where possible. That's why Giles got such a sustained run in the side. Averaging 40 in test matches is woeful...randomly saw him in Cheltenham though months back had my photo taken with him at this club when Warwickshire were around playing Glos.

  • He was in the side because he was a solid bowler. He was never going to be spectacular, and he was never going to get a six-for, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a valuable cog in the team works. And he could bat and was a good fielder, and by all accounts an excellent team man. Averages never tell the whole story, and flashiness isn't always the only measure of player worth.

  • thanks for uploading this man :)

  • what's this sport anyway

  • Cricket, you can find out all about it in wikipedia if you want

  • LMAO funny :)

  • Yes! i finally make a video worth watching. Thanks.
