the 2zz ecu is toyota coded, NO ONE has been able to crack it! if it was reflasheable people wouldnt be spending big bucks in piggy backs and stand alones... (powerfc & hydra) in the matrix and corollas. You can install a unichip or whatever, maybe it will work for a while then the stock ECU will just over write the "tune" lol!
Hmm, my parents Toyota Matrix broke down last friday. They said it's going to be fixed by today which is Monday. Now they say the ECU is from Toronto and it has not been shipped yet. They said many Matrixes had the same ECU problem =S Now they lent us a 06' Yaris which is fun to drive really =P

Even with aftermarket piggy backs, the oem ecu fights with it relentlessly.
