That's true but apparently Apollo is a different god himself.

Apollo just took the identity of Helios.

Helios is the sun god without a doubt. However Helios + Apollo are the same people if you want to be exact, but Helios came first.

Also Helios was Originally claimed as a Titan and was named "Hyperion" during the whole clash of the titans and Olympians. So it seems accurate imo.

@FedericoJimbo yes apollo is the god of music,archery,oracles,... and light(not sun just light), helios is the god of the sun (aka the personification of the sun) also is helios not an olympian but a titan, however he joined zeus in the first war

later (not in greece) apollo got more and more identified with helios, however in greek literature there is no point where apollo is reffered to as the god of the sun, it is helios who rides the chariot with the sun

@FedericoJimbo well, you must know that in this game, they made the titans look like "monsters" however, when most titans were drawn on vases or statues in ancient greece they also look like humans

(knowing that the olympians are children of those titans, it also makes more sense)

why in game some he doesn't look like the others i don't know

the ingame titans, actually remind me more of the gigants from ancient greek myths

Actually a lot of the greek gods are connected to the sun; even Zeus. And another thing is in the game, that you aquire the Bow of Apollo. Helios never used a bow as a weapon.

@entoris476 they didnt model the titans in this game after the actual titans of myth like they did the gods. they pretty much just adress him as the fire titan. the only ones they say who they are are gaia cronos and atlas. but it would make sense that he should be hyperion the titan of light and helios is hyperions son
