I don't really understand the purpose of the りat the end of 全部入り

入り is いり. The kanji only makes up part of the Japanese word.

But just 入 can be いり, right? As in 入口.

Apparently so. I'm not sure then. There is probably some subtle reason for it.

Right, both 入り and 入 can be read as "iri" :)
