  • I have no doubts that the vikings where the first to arrive to américa.

  • The reason Norwegian disney ongs often souds very good is because norwegian is very musical, it comes very natural for us (the norwegians) to sing because norwegian is just made like that.

  • @WolfieboyMachi buuu :P

  • Min favoritt sang blandt disney sanger!!!

  • Så vackert! ^^

  • Nostalgia

  • Ahh childhood memories..Norwegian version the best!! :D

  • Thanks for the video and its a beautiful song but there is one word wrong in your translation x3 It's easy to mistake tre to be tree or three, but I'm sure in this case it should be "tree".

    Thanks again!

  • I prefer the french version !!!

  • @Lauraosika then why the heck are you listening to the norwegian version?

  • Love this. <3

  • søøøt sang!! elsker denne !! <3<3

  • I'm dutch, and I actually understand half! It looks so much like dutch and german mix, lol.

  • @Gerjancava Indeed. As a Norwegian I think Dutch sounds like really drunk Norwegian. I actually thought some Dutch people in a zoo spoke Norwegian...

  • I can't decide if I like this or the Swedish version the most. I'm Swedish, but this version is so beautiful!

  • Wow, Pocahontas speaks Norwegian... :O

The Vikings definitely got there first.

  • @Felinestance heheheh :D not bad! not bad!

  • verry good version ;))

  • Hannah Montana, Selena Gomez and all that stuff can never be compared to the beauty in the old Disney movies. Never. Ever.

  • Just one correction...you seem to type 'three' when you mean to have put 'tree'. It's all good, but just thought you ought to know.

  • this is one of my favourite versions. i think norwegian is the most beautiful language of the scandinavion languages. it sounds so pure and i love scandinavion languages.

  • I love this! It is do beautiful!

  • This version is very good, thanks for the lyrics. I think that the french version is the best (ok I'm French lol) and for me Laura Mayne (the singer) looks like Pocahontas . If you curious, the link to the French version with english translation: /watch?v=E4psaucrlJQ

  • The Norwegian is great

  • I still think that the dutch version is the best. But this version is very good too same as the danish and turkisch version

  • The norwegian version i amazing! I stil think that the dnaish is better, but this one is also very good. She has a beautiful voice. :)

    - Greetings from denmark :D

  • Norwegian Pocahontas is awesome! The sound is so unique ♥ Greetings from Finland!

  • I really love this version! <3

  • Meget morsomt:D Elsker at höra dere version.. ingen vidare norska sry:P

bedre än den svenska helt klart

    Greetings from sweden

  • this makes me proud to be half norweigian :')

  • Hahaha... :D

Det er sådan en flot sang.

  • Norwegian is the most beautiful and euphonious among the Scandinavian -Germanic languages.

  • Sangen er helt nydelig på norsk!

  • very very beautiful, i love it so much more than the swedish one (im dutch)

  • I'm norwegian.. and i think that kinda every language i better than my own.. but i like this song best on norwegian...

  • @LazyShikamaru1000 Personally i think that Norwegian is the most beautiful language i've heard in my life. For this i'm triyng to learn it.

  • @AliceSacco Good luck, it's damn hard to learn. I'm Norwegian, I've tried to learn Spanish, French and Japanese and I've had 12 years of English in school (normal), and I still think Norwegian is damn hard compared to them.

  • I agree, the Norwegian language sounds so much more cleaner than the Swedish.

  • takk takk takk for dette! ^.^

I need to HEAR some norwegian!

  • Im Argentinian and after this, Pocahontas its Norwegian.

  • im from US.. heard Swedish and Norwegian version, the norwegian one i much better, and it looks like the norwegian language is much cleaner and better too.

  • @MrBurntz I won't feed the troll this time;)

    Duben er så bra!

  • svenska e bättre....

  • what a beautiful language!

  • 11 stk er ikke oppvokst med Pocahontas!

  • To deler av min herkomst i ett; norsk og Native American ! Begge er vakre! ^ _ ^

XD

  • snuggahugabadugabaoao :-D

  • I love how she sings, because me as a German who has barely started learning Norwegian, I can understand some of the things she sings without looking at the lyrics! =)

  • I'm German and I like the german and norwegian versions the most :)

  • 0.52= er til gaGn. Altså er til hjelp. Translates to "is beneficial/ of benefit"

1.04 = Hvis du følger FARET til en fremmed. Translates to: "If you follow the tracks of a stranger".

  • how is it that Norway is connected to Sweden yet all you have your own language..I mean I do understand and then I don't at the same time..can Norwegians understand Swedish

  • @silenteyesspy

I don't understand why so many swedish have it har understanding norwegian when we understand swedish so well.

  • @yueyume: I'm not Swedish so I can't tell you that so I don't know what to say

  • @silenteyesspy

well... once we were under denmark, later we were under sweden, and so started the "languagewar".

We ended up with bokmål and nynorsk, and bokmål is based on danish

  • @silenteyesspy France and Germany share boarders, but they don't have the same language at all. So what's your point? Read some linguistics first, and you'll understand why different countries have different languages, dialects and such. It's all pretty logical.

  • Ah, norska är så sött. ^_^

  • Beautiful song, I remember when I listened to this as a kid and not understanding even half of the words or the message it carries. Truly a beautiful song with awesome lyrics! :D

"gavn" has the optional form "gagn", with a pronunciation similar to "gang", but with an extra "n" I'm wondering if that's the form she's saying at 0:52, not sure though;p

At 1:06, she's saying "Mens hvis du følger faret ("et far"=path) til en fremmed", meaning "but if you follow the path/tracks of a stranger".

  • I love disney songs in norwegian. Im icelandic living in danmark and i think the norwegian sounds so soft.

  • beautiful voice

  • I like the way this translates back to english better then the original english, it just feels more meaningful.

  • Polish version is the best!!

  • Comment removed

  • why isn't she in the kitchen?

p.s. duzooo lepsza wersja niz angielska 100 razy lepsza :)))

  • the norwegian version is so much better than the english! just can't get over it.. <3

  • This movie is the best Disney movie. It makes me feel so good, and this song is so right about everything. It's beautiful and so spiritual, it's wonderful. The colors of the wind - it's such a great concept, and this movie is all about nature and love and taking care of planet earth and the people. Amazing movie ♥

  • Beautiful version of this song!

I'm Swedish, but I have to say that I love the Norweigan language. It sounds much more "clean" than Swedish, haha. :)

  • @MonokuroMiTSU so many swedes think that, but I'm norwegian myself and I've always found swedish to be "soft" and cute in a way.. hehe

  • @MonokuroMiTSU I think sweedish is beautiful! :D

  • I'm greek and it's my favourite version (after the greek one of course ;)

I can say she has a wonderful voice, and I like the sound that every word is leaving...:D

    Very nice version..:D

  • I love listening to some of my favorite songs in Norwegian, and I like the fact they have the translation under it, so it's neat to compare this version to the English version, and see how different the words can be when sung in another language.

  • Wow, Norwegian is such a pretty language! I want to learn it someday! :)

  • @TVrawks301 Then go to a "how to learn Norwegian" class :p Norwegian is not that hard ^^

  • @SofieBN Okay! I'll look for a class or (at least some tapes) just because you suggested that! ;)

    Thanks!

  • @TVrawks301 No problem :)

:D NORGE FTW !

  • Norwegian is so beautiful. I start learning it tomorrow :]

  • Although I think norwegian sound really funny.. I must admit that this version was really beautiful.. I love her voice!

  • @JiroWangDongCheng ^^, (y'

  • Norwegian, swedish, danish , dutch and german belong to the one group of languages in europe. And some others too but I don't remember now which ones. I know only german and I also understand some parts. (I don't speak german natively)

  • @agulek666

English is also a Germanic language, although heavily influenced by Norman French, as well as Icelandic, Faroese, and Frisian.

  • Videos like this are so helpful to English speaking people like me trying to learn Norwegian. Thanks! :)

  • Im dutch and i find it rlly beautiful her voice s soo beautiful

  • Anita Skorgan har nyyydelig sangstemme :)

  • What does ville mean?

  • @TheFanDubFan in this sentence, wild one

  • @TheFanDubFan Wild

  • @TheFanDubFan ville-would

  • @XxhinaXunyunxX would? geitebukk and bellagirl89 say wild one

  • I understand this almost perfectly without the english subtitles :) I'm from Iceland.

  • Memories <3

  • Vakkert!

  • can you get if i never knew you with norwegian too plizz?

  • @BergenNorwegian does it exist in norwegian? I don't think they ever made it in norwegian because the song was cut from the movie

  • @hermanhedning93 no it was not

  • bra gjort keep up the GOOD work . im moving to norge soon

  • wow this actually sounds kind of like dutch, i can understand some words!

  • @dOortje96 like dutch??? I'm dutch, but I don't think so at all! :)

I am learning norwegian and japanese, and with norwegian there are a few words that sound like dutch yes... but not many... lol

    love this song :)

  • listen to the greek version, really great :)

  • im norwegian myself i am currently learning norwegian i think listening to stuff like this helps cause i sorta relate to it lol :D

  • I've seen this movie thousands of times and because of this norwegian version I finally noticed that there is lynx's face at 1:19 because she sings "seen the lynx smile in the starry sky" :DD I have never noticed it before 'cos in Finnish version she sings "the reason why lynx cat laughs" (I'm from Finland) always learn something new xD

  • hun er tynn :-/

  • @lilsweeti13 Hun er jo tross alt indianer.. hva forventer du? Ei blubbe?

  • @KrBandidas Haha, driitbra ! :D lol

  • Love it^^ Bare en kommentar: Du oversatte men hvis du følger faret til en fremmed, med "of you follow danger which leads to a stranger". Faret er et annet ord for veien, det riktige vil være "if you follow the footsteps of a stranger". Se f.eks. den engelske versjonen.

  • This sound weird, cuz I understand it all, but it's not the language i'm uset to. Swedish is still the best! :D But this is the second best. Heja Norge!! :P

  • nice

  • Uten tvil den beste Disneyfilmen!

    Oppfølgeren ødela den helt. :-/

By far the best movie Disney ever made!

The sequel ruined it completely, though. :-/

is it just me or is it a bit creepy smile... ?

  • I think both this one and the dutch version are the best :)

  • Is it possible, in normal conditions (i. e. in a player) to watch a movie with two subtitles, like in this one?

  • Merkelig at Anita Skorgan bare har sangstemmen! Kunne like gjerne hatt stemmen!

  • I think the Swedish version is ALOT better.

  • at 2:27 the norwegian word is not LAND which means land,or to land,or earth, but LANG which means lang,or lasting. And the correct term is a norwegian. :)

  • Haha in Finnish wild is villi, it's almost the same as ville... which is (I think) "wanted" in Swedish...? Anyway, it's very beautiful in your language. I love how you pronounce farger... It differs so much from Swedish :D

  • Lyrics doesn't get much better than this!!! Old Disney was the thaaang!!! New Disney can go *insert mean word here* off!

  • I actually understand some of this: Kan du male alle farger i en vind (Kan du mole aule foawe enne vint.) or Og spar meg (Onn spoart mie) or Du kan eie alt du vil, (Du kan äjne aula du well) and then some things make sense if I also incorporate English when listening to it.

  • @HojoOSanagi

    äje, not äjne.

  • @HojoOSanagi Languauge is incredible:)

  • It really sounds like dutch in alot of ways, or am i just crazy? ^-^ I love this version alot, i love her voice

  • @llmgr0en its not much like dutch, but mabye the way we speek is kinda like the dutch :P im norwegian and know many dutch peoples <3

  • @liveinlove321

dutch sucks, i can know.. i'm dutch

geloof me het is een kut taal

    believe me it's a * mean word * lanuage
