It is Tahitian. Two things are happening. The singers are singing a song of greeting, Ia ora na tatou paatoa (hello to all of us). Oriori te mau tamahine, e noanoa mai te tiare. The young girls dance, it is fragrant like a flower.

Then there is the theme of the stranded man on the raft who is rescued by the people. He is being healed and a man appears with the robe and the hat. That is a tahu'a, a shaman.
