  • with Dan as Finch, he's more interesting as a character for me- I even think he sings like Finch would. That's based on my interpretation of what the character Finch should be, kind of goofy, but everyone's free to make their own judgements and choose their fave actor

  • nick can sing better than dan. there's no doubt about that but dan just fits the character better than nick. i kinda think Dan is a better actor

  • omg, just saw nick jonas do this on jimmy fallon. daniel is 10 thousand times better

  • @summerluverr Are you kidding? Nick Jonas just did a DAMN fine job. Read some of the other comments. Some of the people who've seen both prefer Jonas, and I couldn't care less about him.

  • @bangsmoke I saw some of Jonas' stuff and I agree thats he's awesome, but his performance of this on Fallon lacked a lot compared to this video here. Jonas didn't have enough emotion and he wasn't convincing at all, at least in this I believe in Radcliffe's character and he's committed- maybe it was just his performance on Jimmy Fallon but that's what I was comparing to this.

  • When I went to see it and Dan said "eyes of a seeker", I'm surprised he didn't see me and my friend sitting in the second row of center orchestra smiling like idiots!

  • This is a good version, but I like the original with Robert Morse

  • Daniel is better than Nick Jonas

  • @jackdouglas98 lol. though.

  • Everyone listens to Katy Perry and Gaga...and this is my jam. lol I <3 Daniel

  • I like this, I love Daniel Radcliffe he is amazing. But, well, nick jonas is so much better in this song, like years better!

  • I think nick jonas sings it better ... haha but i totally love daniel though!

  • I think that Daniel was much better for this role. I my opinion, he brought more life to the character, was funnier, and he sang in a less contrived and a more honest way than Darren did.

  • Everyone's talking about who's better in this song. And I'm just freaking out because there's an amazing French Horn part. (I'm a french horn player.)

  • Personally I liked Darren's version better...

  • @pinkllama19 Oh yeahh, I think he does it alot better, all the numbers actually :/

  • @MurieJ825 Agreed. I listen to the Dan versions and Im like damn I wish they rerecord it with Darren.

  • @pinkllama19 yep yep. What are your views on what Nick might have to offer? I respect Nick Jonas. The Jonas Brothers kind of pigeonholed him as a teeny bopper guy but he by himself is so much more.

  • Anyone else think that if the revival didn't star Radcliffe, it would've completely tanked?

  • @VRNProductions Exactly! That was the point in making sure a big star always plays Finch :)

  • @Roccarocks Doesn't reflect well on the rest of the show, though, does it?

  • @VRNProductions I guess it doesn't in a way. But seriously think about it: if you want to get a HUGE profit in reviving an old show from the 60s called, "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying", a show with a name like that would definitely get a large, supple audience in current times...hence, you need a big name for a boost! I know that's the reason I went to go see it :p

  • @Roccarocks Oh, yeah, I understand the business aspect of it perfectly. My point is it didn't seem like they tried very much to make the rest of the show particularly good...

  • When I saw Darren do this and they said "Seeker" I was like HARRY FREAKIN POTTER

  • he should have been doing this his whole life, when i listen to this Harry Potter doesn't even cross my mind, to me he's J. Pierrepont Finch!

  • WOW--perfect voice for this re-do! A pleasure to hear him in this show which I've always loved since I was a kid.

  • Wow, I never would have expected him to have such a lovely voice!

  • Daniel Radcliffe has got a sweet voice. I LOVE HIM

  • ...The amount of Radcliffe fanboys/girls in this comment section is TOO DAMN HIGH.

  • this used to be my least favorite of the songs he sings but now i love it xD

  • I'm so upset that I didn't here the seeker part, but I was in the third to last row. So oh, well. I love it though. :)

  • Isn't he singing this song to himself in the mirror? xD I laugh at the people who imagine that he's singing this to them, because it's all about himself.

  • HE LOOKED ME DIRECTLY IN THE EYES AS HE SANG THIS<3

  • @KyRAZY4bieberx3 DARREN CRISS DID THE SAME TO ME! I WAS DEAD CENTER AND DYING FROM THE INTENSITY.

  • @whoisjenna OHMYGOSH. Lucky! I'd start sobbing.

  • @GraceLamportTV Oh, believe me, there were tears. Lots and lots of tears.

  • HE BELIEVES IN ME LOLOLOLOL XD

  • i giggled when he said seeker .

    it was inevitable c:

  • @watupworldoutthere it's already a movie, tard.

  • This is a great attempt, but I still prefer Robert Morse. Daniel doesn't seem to be able to sustain the notes in the same way, so this sounds a little rushed compared to the other.

  • Really... i cried at this song! i couldnt believe i had dan sooo closeee!! Best night ever <3

  • @AniitaIribarren me too... I was in the third row :3

  • You know what, he's awesome. His voice has this lively quality. It's unique but that's why it's so refreshing. "Haters gotta hate, but that's only because they ain't got no love in their hearts" -Old Lady I saw on the Subway Last Week. BTW I couldn't help but laugh the first time he said "Seeker". Sorry Dan.

  • Michael Park uuuugh <3

  • I loved the show and thought that Daniel Radcliffe & John Larroquette were fabulous! (Especially the Old Ivy Number) And I can't believe what a terrific voice Daniel has. He was so amazing he got a 5 minute ovation at the curtain call!!!!

  • awesome perfect song for harry potter uh

  • He's no Robert Morse, but I like him :)

  • guys if you don't like it DON'T COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DIDN'T YOUR MOMMMA'S TELL YA THAT ID YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING NICE DON'T SAY IT AT ALL!!!

  • I'm so over Radcliffe as Finch. ;P It was exciting at first... until I heard him sing last Thursday. Matthew Broderick trumps him.

Thanks for posting all of these. :)

  • @jdobo sooooo glad I'm not the only one who thinks so haha

  • @dog1197 ur an embarassment to broadway lol i dont think they care what anyone thinks. This show is still famous regardless of anyone's petty opinion. who are U? nobody knows, nobody cares. But this show is really good =)

  • cool, clear eyes of a SEEKER........ O_o

  • @IDyedMyCatPurple oh my God when I went to see this musical, the whole theater started whispering "Seeker! Quidditch!" it was awesome

  • @purplegirl353 i wish that happened when i went! but there was an old lady next to me, who said very loudly, "oh! thats....thats....thats....that harry....what is it? potter?" in the middle of the first act

  • @purplegirl353 Oh, God, that's hilarious!

  • @IDyedMyCatPurple omg i just noticed that thanks so much for pointing it out lol.
