Please reply someone! Ok, so is this track compinies don't use anymore? Or is this track still being used with like Delivering trains. (Coal, freight, ect, that's what I mean by Delivering trains.) Anyways, do you have to have a permit, and have to have the tecnolgy on your train to see where other trains are at?
have you heard if its going to or not? I want to go to one more Railfan event before school, and the SN is part of my town's history, and its a one of a kind railroad. I want to see some SN equipment run with my own eyes, like the 654; she's my favorite.
Beautiful!! 2 questions: 1: Is the Western RR Museum's overhead wire compatible for pantograph operation? 2: SN bought 4 cars that were originally intended for the Philadelphia & Western RR back east but due to the 1906 earthquake the United RR's of San Francisco got them instead. They in turn, sold 4 trailers to SN, who converted them into powered combines and used them on the Woodland Branch. Do any of these 4 cars stil exist? I heard a few years ago that a body of one may still be around.
yes, the overhead is pantograph compatible. The 4 cars you speak of are the only passenger cars the SN had, I think. out of the 4, I think only 3 survive, and yes one of their body's is on the ground, I think the others, including the 1005 are operable, or serviceable.
@SierraRailway I read a little more about the ex-P&W cars. This does not include No. 1005. These would be Northern Electric's Nos. 250-253. They were later renumbered SN Nos. 106-109. One of them was a regular on the Meteor while the others ran strictly on the Woodland Branch.
they weren't even there a few years ago, I noticed them when I came back and visited this place in February, and I thought for like an hour wondering if they were there last time? no, they weren't. personally, I think the scenery is much more picturesque without them.
If only these guy had kept working on Robert Dollar #3, they'd have a lot more visitors. it would even be nice to see one of the SN interurbans out and switching. This is cool too. thought they were too poor to do restoration work. IDK...
Wonderful! Thanks for posting this.

@SierraRailway Ok, though with the electricity they make, for traction you're now riding the wind.
