One of my clerks changed her behaviour in very short time in a very negative way. Finally, she quit the job...as a single mom of an eight year old toughter. Today i found out that she is an "avatar" master. I don´t know, how she payed as an unemployed single mom all the courses....i feel sorry for her toughter.
Sounds like somebody finally decided LRH and Miscavige shouldn't be the only ones cashing in on the $cientology formula for draining weak people of everything.
I think the influence of TV and the intentions of TV makers is very much like a brainwashing cult too, don't you think? What effect has all the negative news on us...that's a scary thought...

What would be the goal of this organisation? It's not "making money" because there are easier ways to do that. "Controling people"? Realy? What could be the goal of an organisation who wants people to become source...teach them to "feel" and learn about "compassion"? Do German TV makers ever think about that or are they lookiing for making people afraid?

Why do you think they preach so hard to make people think it's their own choice in everything they do no matter what? It leaves them free to exploit and never be accountable.
Maybe you never got past the hanging carrot part, or the control didn't take root. But if it did, how would you know?

Like anything else, cults aren't black and white things - they just try to be seen as "perfect" and then when they fail it's just as easy to see them as totally evil. Many people have wonderful experiences they don't regret from even the worst cults, and the people and even the beliefs in general aren't the problem.
Take what you can from them. But know the price. Avatar Courses help a lot of people, or at least make them feel they are better off, just like a million other things can claim.

Yes, could be. But it IS an indicator of a cult. When people's families and friends recognize personality shifts and choices inconsistent with their behavior and values - in other words becoming someone they are not and doing things they wouldn't do, they have to consider the possibility is isn't some personal evolution, but the imposition of the cult's personality overtaking their existing one. This is a known psychological phenomenon written about by many experts in the field.
The Avatar tools are good because people can use them to think for themselves, and get a direct experience of who they are. The organisation is a different story, because the leaders are stuck in a viewpoint that they need to save the world, the goal is justifying the means more and more.
