Kluzak got murdered but then fought Brown and also fought Richter and Toccet and Probert because thats wat he had to do as his role as a player and did very well to perserve his teammates to continue that and he deserves a great deal of respect as a player and anybody that played with Kluzak would probaly agree.
Brown was a faggot and really didn't win crap. He was a useless goon while at the time Kluzak was a #1 draft pick. I mean I would hope Brown would win the fight. He didn't win the second one though.
@artistseye1 you realize brown is one of the best fighters ever? yeah he didnt win the 2nd one cause it was a hugfest and a draw, brown was one of the best so i dont know wat u r talking about
brown, doing what he does best and that is jum[ping guys!! did the same thing to miller. miller and brown were the ones who were always at each other throats and they were 50/50 but brown jumped miller real bad off a face off sucker punching him. same thing with maguire...pussies!!!
@hal4sure this was no jump u idiot. you think kluzak was just gonna ignore brown the whole game u fuckin dick. learn the history between these two before u go openin ur mouth. they were face to face, jumping is from behind u goof. As for miller, he did jump him the second fight. miller one the first one so u actually think brown would let him go. Miller knew what was comin and turtled to give brown a penetly. I think brown proved he was better then miller by kicking his ass about 4 times after
@MrJuha82 No doubt it's a clear win for Brown, as he had alread shed his stick and gloves before Kluzak could even get set! One major difference here is that Kluzak was the 1st overall pick in the draft. Brown was a full fledged goon, that didn't even have the respect to square off cleanly. Brown still would have won the fight, but he loses points for jumping someone who wasn't a goon. Also, while it was Browns first NHL fight, he was a year and a half OLDER than Kluzak.
Brown jumped him clearly, but Brown would have killed him anyway. Dave is a top 5 fighter of all-time, and Gord doesnt even make the conversation of top 100.
@cowboyzsuk81 "Dave brown fucked this guy up all through the 80's?" They only fought twice in their careers, dipshit, and their next fight was a draw, if not a win for Kluzak! Gord landed th best punch that sent Brown's helmet flying, but I'd call it a draw! Brown's own mother couldn't give him a "w" in that one! LMFAO It's posted on youtube dipshit, and it took place March 15th 1984!
Thanks for proving to everyone that you don't even follow hockey!
@cowboyzsuk81 Actually they did better than expected. But then again just about every team in the east did. All upsets in the first round basically. In the end, unless you're a blackhawks fan, you have no room to gloat. Nobody cares whether you came in 2nd or 30th when competing for the cup. Although when you can make it to the 2nd round and still end up with the 2nd overall draft pick, that's pretty sweet! Both teams will look quite different this coming year, but Philly needs a better goalie.
agreed. after i saw that philly was possibly going after nabokov i got mad because leighton did such a great job..even though they lost..he did excellent for a goalie in his first playoff appearance and first starting job. tukka rask is amazing though. you got a good goalie in him. too bad he put thomas on the shelf
@cowboyzsuk81 It's not bad that he put Tim on the shelf, because depth at goalie is a good thing...the shame is that Chiarelli gave a 35 year old journeyman a 4 year 20 mil deal. Thomas had 1 great year, but he's no Brodeur or Roy. It puts the B's in a position where they need to deal Tim to a contender, but get back a solid back-up that can play 30 games in return and get cap relief. Philly seems like a better trading partner than Toronto since we have the leafs 1st pick next year.
I think this was browns first fight in the NHL, might have been his first game. That's why the shaved head. and if I remember correctly this was an afternoon game.

Loved Brown's make-shift jersey that didn't even have his name sewn on it, just ironed on there

Thats carryover from their WHL days,Browns 1st fight, might have been his 1st shift and that was Kluzaks 9th fight, his 1st was Greg Adams of Hartford.

He fucked EVERYONE up during the 80's; even the early 90's. I watched his entire career in Philly and he was ferocious; a real pleasure.
