@rossi19931 'Dukes Of Hazzard: The Beginning' Was a prequel to the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard Movie, The Movie and its prequel BOMBED however in all fairness they were decent, but for the 'SHOW' this was how all of us remember the 'General Lee' being born. The Movies are like 'Alternate Universe' kinda things lol.

The very first episode was actually the pilot which was 'One Armed Bandits" where they actually had DIXIE in the car in later epeisodes it was electronically added as well in later episodes the General Lee was replaced by toy cars and that is when Joh and Tom got upset that and because of money! That was a dark time for the Dukes "Coy and Vance" Very DARK TIMES.

They had an engine but no car about 4 days before the race. They found a car, replaced the front fender, straightened the body, welded the doors, installed a roll bar, painted the whole car complete with graphics all in 4 days. This is in 1978 when Bo just got out of high school & Luke just got out of the Marines. Now that's talent!
