I'm a huge supporter of clean diesel but this video is pathetic. It's titled "Total Cost Of Ownership" but has zero data. A VW Passat gasoline car is $23,500 and diesel is $25,800. Diesel is $3.70 per gal and gasoline is $3.20 (in Ohio). So, driving 15,000 miles per year it will take 8.7 years or 130,000+ miles to break even. Since most Americans buy a new car more often than once every 9 years, where is the lower TCO for Diesel?
