  • 8 minutes?? I play this game for hours and never win... also I think I pickup a key somewhere... is strange this "walkthrough". Oh, I remember I try to kill everyone... no misery XD

  • You cannot be serious !!!!!!!!!

  • I purchased this game Robin of the wood and received some crappy game the Arc of Yesod. I guess this game Robin of the wood is crappy game too? I guess I glad the seller refunded after viewing how dreadful the game looks overall.

  • HORRIBLE MUSIC!!

  • I feel this video gives me closure from the hours I spent playing it as a child. I didnt have a scooby what I was supposed to do.

  • @harryisourking totally! this was one of the games i kept playing, without having any clou of what to do :-) i just ran around, collecting stuff, waiting for something to happen.

  • I have fond memories of this game. Like others I didn't know what you were supposed to do.

The looping song will put you in a trance.

  • robin hooj

  • Looks a bit like 'Feud'

  • You have look of health in this game.

  • This was one of the best games for the C64.

    I really miss those days.

  • thanks for adding this!

reminds me of the good, old days. =)

  • One of the greatest video game endings I have ever seen ; )

  • @Martyr7788 i didnt think it was anythign special. no interesting picture or cut scene or anything. i guess the music was ok. but each to their own!

  • Very nice graphics for the time.

  • I played this one a long time ago, on Sharp MZ-800, and I remember just like Kinmarcher, that I had to rob the bishop several times, and the bags were not just lying around. But still I feel some nostalgia, and I thank you for this video. :)

  • i never couldnt figure out what to do in this game hehe and now after years i can see, thank you!

  • @trabant66666

yep i recall days without internet and solutions where figuring out what to do was adventure itself

games nowadays are for dumb people.

  • It was Robin's quest for the Silver Arrow! :) In the Spectrum version, you had to rob the Bishop several times to make him drop those gold sacks, avoid been robbed by the eh.. Holy Mary (give her a flower instead) etc etc, ending in the city where Robin would get the famed Silver arrow..game end. I eventually made my own map and the game became easy and boring after that :)

Still a great ZX Spectrum classic.

  • I must have had a bugged copy of this because I seem to recall wandering around the forest for hours and never seeing any other characters.

  • yeah me too. I still thought it was a good game back then lol

  • Loved the music. Never figured out what to do, which was the norm for me then (8 years old) when this was released. Got the sword, the bow, arrows etc.

  • Seems similar to Curse of Sherwood, only with better gfx :)

  • This was one of my favorites for it's atmosphere. Loved the music, I went as far as creating a MIDI file out of the SID-tunes and putting it in my mobile phone as ringtone.. haha.

BTW wasn't there an encounter with Marian in there? I thought that was what the flowers were for. I believe you would be transported to the castle. Another encounter (with the sherrif?) would transport you to the dungeon.

Also, you could've avoided some damage being taken. I used to get all clean records. But hey.

  • The first Longplay I get (this was played by Mingray not me) was without taking damage. But sometimes I try to release an longplay with an little damage `cause some people just wait for screaming "Cheaters". So I prefer sometimes Longplay when the player get a little damage.
