i love it, an amazing TV show that took the piss out of everyone, cheffs, sportsman, political figures, quiz hosts, any charecter with enough personality to be put into puppet form. yet as soon as it makes fun of an american political figure its suddenly a socialist rebellion! its just a TV show, just have a laugh at it, go onto the videos of brittish politicians, watch ducks being blown over by the wind, i dont care. just stop getting so angry over a tv show, its pathetic, learn to laugh

In order for you to understand the humor you also must udnerstand what they're satirising i.e. First Gulf War and the Panama/Greanda invasion. It's not the best sketch they did, but it's still biting humor. Maybe you should watch the other Spitting Image clips here on YouTube. The 80's ones were they mock the three main UK parties at the time are very good!

@AlexB1001, this Spitting Image show was sometimes stridently anti-US. How sad that the show skewed its commentary/satire in favor of socialism and AGAINST western democratic capitalism. There was no ideological balance on this left-leaning show. In hindsight, especially given what's happening with the eurozone and the Euro, it seems Thatcher & the conservatives were right all along about so much. Anyway, would have been better if the show hadn't had such a left-leaning, pro-socialist agenda.

@sndblstr It's a tv show for the love of god. It made fun of those in power and pointed out their hypocrisies, double standards and so on. Just happened the people in power were who they were, rather than who you would have preferred for them to make fun of. Nothing anti- American here either. Adults can deal with criticism w/o reacting like a chastised child whose feelings have been bruised.
