i say keep joba in the bullen our bullpen is weak without him.him being in the bullpen gives us some depth so i say keep joba as a setup man for mo and who knows when mo's career is over joba could our next best closer.
im not a fan of the Bears but Grossman has thrown alot of interceptions. If it wasnt for the deffence he had a couple years ago whew how he got bailed out then the team wouldnt have gotten as far as it did.
Your right, Hughes has the potential, its sad though, when a rookie was the only guy to get a win this last postseason. He has good a TON of potential...him AND Kennedy+Chamberlain
I agree..... I think Eiland will bring out the potential in the "Big 3" and add Wang as a #4 instead of the ace and Alan Horne as the number 5 or Betances and we could have an elite rotation.... thats if everything goes according to plan lol
yea, IF it all goes according to plan. I don't see how Wang got to be our ace. SURE he might have the highest amount of wins on our team, but he sure doesn't pitch like an ace. He has a high ERA, and has an even bigger one with runners in scoring postion. And then, he goes and losses 2 outta 4 games in the ALDS.
I agree.... Wang would be a great middle of the rotation guy.... He can really beat up on the bad teams and the mediocore pitchers.... Joba and Hughes have the potential to maybe go against Beckett
Phil Hughes is a good pitcher. I don't think he's the greatest we have, and I think he could be better. I mean, if you wanna start out an inning with him, you'd better start him in inning one. You can't put him in later on in the game. He came in for Rocket. Everyone loves Rocket, but I don't love him enough to lose a game.
Maybe Hughes will be the class act Jeter is. You can count class acts on the Yankees with one hand. Now you can have all winter to rest up. 4 and out for the Bronx Bummers. Good day to you!
Clemens looked like an old man walking off the field. The best thing he did in that game was leave the field. Hughes surely will be in the rotation next year. Great job!

Imagine a postseason rotation of Wang/Pettitte/Hughes/Chamberlain next year... that should match up right with anybody's.

Im pritty sure of that.
Its pritty sad at the age of 21, while entering a postseason game stating out losing, he still not safe.

HANK- DO NOT TRADE PHIL!!
He is the future of this organization.

He is safe for now since the Yankees back out.

You would be surprized people how many stupid Yankee fans would consider trading this guy for Satana. Anyone agree.

there was a sort of passing of the torch in that game. Phil Hughes is suppose to be the next Rocket. his teammates call him baby rocket.
flutesinger2626 4 years ago
Well now that you mention it, that's kind of true. Ok, I guess I could agree with you on that one.
