  • Travel or not this is the NBA - Where travelling calls are optional.

  • BIG TRAVEL

  • Great move,he is great in every position!

  • technically.. yes it is a travel because he took a two-step, lifted his pivot foot off the floor before starting the dribble. but it didn't get called because the whole thing took less than half a second.

  • @cihauna so if i make 4-5 steps in half a second i wont get called with travelling?...dont thing so....

  • so who's fly the defender? hahahaa

  • Durant is an overrated piece of bone and skin...

  • Lebron travelled NO! Kobe traveled? :)

  • no travel, i'm a ref

  • 2 steps is still less than 4 or 5 steps.

  • 1. Hops in air

    2. Catches ball while in air

    3. Right Foot lands first, left foot lands after like a 1-2

    4. Right foot leaves ground

    5. Dribbles ball with left hand

= Travel because he dribbled a fraction of a second after his right foot (pivot foot) left.

seems like ppl thinks he took two steps, stopped, then dribbled and kept going. he does a mini hop when he catches the ball and lands in 1-2

  • @accurim But the ball touches the floor before his foot does ? I thought they judge that way ??.. Isn't it similar to the case when a ball handler cuts thru a defender with his pivot after a jab ??.. Not insulting I just want to know... kinda confused...

  • it's barely a travel. technically a travel. the kind of travel that doesn't get called because it's hard as fuck to see. it doesn't make the move he made any less nice. now shut the fuck up.

  • that's not travelling. when you catch a ball while running, two steps are allowed and after that you have to dribble the ball.

  • @saidiluvubutilied thank you!, somebody has there head screwed on straight, its not a travel, ive seen it many times. if everyone says its a travel then you are saying right when you catch it while running you have to dribble (not even take one step?) that would be retarded.

  • @saidiluvubutilied IT'S A TRAVEL, WATCH THE SECOND REPLAY....HE MOVES HIS PIVOT BEFOR PUTTING THE BALL ON THE FLOOR...

  • he didnt move his pivot feet.... so no travel

  • @thesomeguy21 except he did because the first foot u put down is your pivot "foot" not "feet" dumbass

  • @deathstar772 you having a bad day?

  • That... has never in history been called a travel. You get a step when you catch the ball on the move.

  • @jpdag05 you get 2 actually

  • is that not a travel ??

  • @makinq01 stfu ?

  • catching the ball and landing does not count as a step

  • how the hell is that a travel

  • not definitely a travel. kobe is in the air while he catches the ball and take 2 steps. This is what players usually do when catching a ball while in the air!!! No pivot foot established . After that he dribbled the ball and never made any steps anymore. NOT DEFINITELY A TRAVEL!!! GO OUT AND PLAY!!!

  • was'nt a travel, you can make 2 steps, that's what he did, then he make's the dribbel

  • @emielmedieval2 After taking 2 steps you cannot dribble, learn the rules.

  • @Slamwoo93

Actually you can, the changed the rules a year ago, just a formal change, because it was allowed ages ago. Learn the rules

  • @Slamwoo93 wow watch more videos of basketball, i watched a video of kobe catching the ball, takes 2 steps, pump fakes, and then dribbles right by the guy. its not a travel

  • @DerykDubie Jesus fucking Christ this like my 50th comment. *YOU CAN FUCKING NOT DRIBBLE THE BALL AFTER TAKING TWO FUCKING STEPS*

It's not that it isn't a travel, it just wasn't called.

  • should have fouled harder

  • Title didn't make sense LooL

  • He traveled.

  • @Slamwoo93 no

  • @helenlundeberg You have to put the ball on the floor before or in the same time the ball touches the floor. He made 2 steps then dribbled, which is traveling.

  • @Slamwoo93 it wasnt a travel ,he was going to start his dribble, its obviously not a travel

  • @Slamwoo93 Someone is an idiot. You CAN make 2 steps before and after a dribble. You just can't make 3 steps. Please go outside and actually play the game before you make stupid comments.

  • @TNVD714 YOU Shut the fuck up. You have to first put the ball down, then you can make steps. Lifting the pivot foot, taking multiple steps, or shuffling the feet before starting a dribble is a travel. Look up the rules if you don't know them already, and think before writing down a comment. Look up the fucking rules if you want to, cause I know I don't have to you can see by the other comments.

  • @Slamwoo93 Deff not a travel... He never established a pivot foot.

  • @450rable OMG, as soon as he makes a step, he establishes a pivot foot, and he made two steps.

  • @Slamwoo93 You establish a pivot foot when u pick up your dribble fucking genius. He never dribbled during his first step. Therefore never creating a pivot foot.

  • @Slamwoo93 no he got the ball then he took two steps. then dribble.

  • @Slamwoo93 you probably know nothing about gathering steps

  • @allannirvana If I didn't klnow anything about gathering steps and TRAVELING, I wouldn't have commented on this video.

  • @Slamwoo93 stfu and read the new rules..i just read bout u is" bla bla bla bla i dont know shit about bball"

  • @Slamwoo93 No he doesn't he catches the ball, lands, moves his pivot foot, dribbles before he takes a second step, pump fake score

  • @Slamwoo93 you have to release the ball, but still i think he traveled

  • @Slamwoo93 u said you have to put the ball on the floor the same time the ball touches the floor?

    ballception??

  • @Slamwoo93 its not traveling. He dribled the ball before he took the second step without taking the first from the ground. And even if he did take 2 steps as long as they are done in one continuous movement they are and will not be considered traveling by the ref.

  • @Canonall It's a fucking travel. Even one step without taking a shot is a travel. After taking one or two steps in one continuous movement you're not allowed to dribble. First comes the dribble, then come the feet, or in the same time, but you cannot make steps before dribbling.

  • @Slamwoo93 "But you cannot make steps before dribbling."

This is so wrong. That would make something like a jab step a travel, which, of course, it isn't.

All your arguing is simply wrong. You can take two steps when someone passes you the ball, e.g. back door cut then the two-step and finish, or even catching the ball in mid-air then landing is taking steps, but of course it isn't a travel.

  • @Slamwoo93 The first sentence is just pure nonsense. Seriously, you have to put the BALL on the floor, before the BALL touches the floor? How is that possible?

  • @Slamwoo93 actually the first to steps he took were basically at the same time meaning that either foot can be established as a pivot. he was in the air as he caught the ball so no prior pivot foot was made. so either way it wouldnt of been seen as a travel, or a carry. yes im a ref haha

  • @Slamwoo93 then 99% of all players travel..

  • @Slamwoo93 um no he jumped when he got the ball then he dribbled which is not traveling.

  • @Slamwoo93 your wrong only Lebron travels

  • grown man move

  • So much for the Durantula.

  • @3BitchezOnMe SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
